Hello guys,
Im going to ask a question, please dont shoot me
How do you root a TF201 on .28 firmware once you have unlocked it?
I understand how to unlock the bootloader, but before I can flash a custom rom I need clockwork mod, but to flash clockwork mod I need root.
I've spent the last 2 hours searching around the net, but every guide I find is out of date and doesnt work.
Im handy with a pc, and im very used to samsungs odin, but Im lost with the prime.
Will you help a prime noob?
Thanks.

Hello sorry if this is obvious or answered in a different thread (searched, couldn't find a specific answer. I'm trying to install the MIUI prime 003 rom, so I rooted my phone using this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196421). It worked, then I tried to install the custom kernels provided in the MIUI prime thread. Every time I tried to though it would abort the flash and tell me there is an error. Is this because I need a unlocked bootloader?
Thank you for your time.
Exactly mate

If you dont mind a wipe then use one of the many downgrade methods posted and use OTA rootkeeper to preserve root. There are other posts about that.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919318 this method will work make sure if you have the new asus jb bootloader you use the blob file for twrp. i updated lost root unlocked with unlocker v.6 and followed this and it works

Hello, I'm running the stock rom right now and I use to be rooted. I did the OTA update without reading up on it and lost my root. I'm trying to get a custom recovery so i can get the jellybeans rom. but everything i try to root it fails.. I've tried the casual and exynos abuse way and both fail. Is there something im doing wrong or im missing? Thanks and good day.
Yep you need to read a little. In original development there is s method to unlock your boot loader which must be done to flash a ROM.
