Hello everyone,some days ago on youtube i was watching a video about the new Xperia S...and I was wondering..is there a way to port the xperia s animated wallpaper to our beautiful ray?

I tried the xperia arc one,and also another one,but the lines are not soft like the video on youtube in the first post...the lines are very rude ,why? :|
We have uber high dpi on ray, of course it will look sharper than a blurry wrong focus video on youtube, that's why.

Hmm,but I like more the sharp one than the detailed one on the ray...I can't bring down the dpi's?
Dpi is "dot per inch", it's the hardware, you can not change it.

Aww...does nothing...anyway i noticed it's pretty laggy with this wallpaper,when swiping from homescreen to homescreen..

Hey Ive read here n there that some developers are working on porting the arc camera app to the xperia play. So I was just wondering wouldn't it be easier to port the new xperia pro cam app instead, as it is also 5mp but supports HD recording. Would it even be possible or is there a hardware difference that makes HD unusable on the the xperia play. Sony state that the mini pro is a mid range device, so I can't see how it would have better hardware than the xperia play.
(I did post this in the Q&A section but for some reason the Q&A section is not showing on my xda app. So sorry for double posting)

I would like to know about this, the software that controls is way better than the GB or ICS version, don´t know why.
Only hope is a port, for devs i will assume it´s a good challenge.
A port would be amazing, i was hoping that the new ics release will bring that camera app from other xperias to play, but the beta shows that thats not true .
I love the face derection function from mini pro, and the touch focus is even a great feature, thata defenetly missing on play!

Same here. More noticeable if you have a large size HDTV. The output for arc's hdmi is 720p max.
Hopefully, Xperia S and P will output 1080p

I'm try decompile and extract apk , I found drawable resolution is now 320dpi - -*
but It's still beautiful and work.
xperia s & p produce a lot sharper image output.
but beware, that arc is laggy on 720p so no 1080p for arc (though somehow would shurely be portable)
S & P are lot more powerful, so they can handle 1080p throughput

Does this work on custom roms? I'm using JJdoctors hybrid on my xperia arc I downloaded file via flash no problems but i dont see any icon or app for tv launcher.

I use custom ICS Mooded. When you connect hdmi cable and have live manager, slide noification menu down and you see new accessory connect info, sellect app asign from menu and attach it to TV launcher app.

There is no app icon for it; it only launches once your HDMI is plugged in. You'll see a notification in the notification bar to launch it.

Summary:
I have cooked my stock ROM's DefaultThemes.apk, and I think I should share it to you all. I reuploaded the apk and it will work now.
Compatibility:
The apk is cooked from stock 2.3.4 ROM, so it must also compatible tostock 2.3.4 based ROM. Unexpectedly,I found it compatible to SONY ICS ROM. So, simply if your ROM have DefaultThemes.apk in system/app , you can use this mod in your ROM.
Instructions:
Replace the old DefaultThemes.apk in system/app of you phone.
Details:
The background image is actually captured from Cosmic Flow Live Wallpaper (so the title says Cosmic Flow style!), and now it's presented to you all.

So if you like the mod please click thanks button, and make some reply too.
MDPI version is also available. If you want to see screenshot, Go to XM, XMP, Active Theme and Apps Thread to see that. I'm fourteen years old now and I have to attend secondary school so I'm busy at the moment.
I reuploaded the app and it will work now. Please download and have a try, and make some reply and press thanks button too
My suggestion: everything is nice, but make the background dimmer will ya? The background not the wallpaper. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for this was not expecting to see that the themes go transparent with static flow wallpaper.... But maybe make the background darker as reading some messages out contacts its a bit hard.....

Oh and also there is a bug when using Xperia s music player.....u can't see the album art anymore.... Just can see the same cosmic flow background instead of the album art and that creates a little lag too

Huh? Are you using Sony ICS or stock GingerBread? It mustn't be possible that cause bug because the apk is just changed images, without any code editing. It also seem impossible that cause error on Sony ICS because I have tested it already.

Can the music player play music though?
If It cannot, then I know whats the problem, it is not the problem of mine.
But if the player can play music, then I don't know whats the problem...
It do not have problem with my friends xperia play and my live with walkman.
i will check it also on xperia arc later soon.

Xperia P works, but better quality Cyber-shot. There is no denying that the interface is good but the photos do not have the same zoom and quality. Cyber-shot was designed by Sony for Xperia and this for Nexus.
