Hi
I own the Razr Car Dock. It has been working fine for months, but suddenly today the car dock app does not launch when I plug in the device.
It charges well enough, so I presume the connections are ok.
I am on 2.35,no root, and last system update is months ago
Any suggestions?

Problem solved.. Restarting didn't help, but after doing the battery pull maneuver, the app came back to life

Hello. I'm got this problem too, on stock ics, cm9, cm10, miui and stock ics again - car dock mode doesnt work, and audio by microusb cable too. How you pull off battery on razr?
---------- Post added at 02:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:58 AM ----------
i download "car mode control" app from ig88. When i start it, screen is blinking and nothing going on else! Help, please!
You do a 'battery pull maneuver' by pressing both volume controls and the on/off button for approx 10 seconds.

For soft reset action, power + volume down enough. This doesnt help me, even full flash with rsdlite not help me(

I have exactly the same problem
You probably DON'T want audio over microUSB, since it doesn't use the equalizer and you will have much lower volume.

On RAZRs of my friend and my girl audio works cool, and default equalizer not needed - we all use poweramp =)
Problem still here, one time my phone is dead even on charge, when i used navigation and music simultaneously. I think its hardware problem in charge controller, but i dont know how check it out.

The phone did freeze up on me a couple times, but not too often. Just make sure you did a clean install..again it's a beta and isn't complete or perfect. Are you overclocked/undervolting? What values? How many apps are you running, there's just so much that can cause the freeze...Regarding the buttons, yes they do not light up...yet.
Yeah it happens every now and then, particularly when transitioning in the stock android car dock app.
I really wish I could hold power + volume up to reset (like I do on my Xoom) instead of pull the battery but oh well.

They work if you turn on autobrightness on screen and reboot then they will work, but when brightness is manually set they don't work by default. As for the random reboots id try a clean wipe of everything and fresh install if it happens regularly. I haven't had a single instance where i've had to pull battery since the release of this beta.

You don't actually HAVE to pull battery, it will reset itself after a few minutes.. Mind you it takes literally a minute or two atleast, but it will nearly always reboot on its own if you leave it alone.
I have flashed wanamlite rom. And now I insert phone on Samsung dock the dock mode cannot be triggered also the audio cannot be output. Previously it worked well with Samsung stock rom. Any solution?

Does it not have the option to throughput the audio in Settings>System>Dock?
Funny, I wanted to stop dock mode in my previous SGS2 because it sent my phone mental every time rendering it unusable.
If it's not going in dock mode when plugged into the Samsung dock could it have been disabled in the ROM perhaps?

Hi everyone..
When i unlock my s3, it plays "be-beep!!" sound. Water effect sound plays too. But at the same time "be-beep!!"
If i silence the phone, no sound.. there is not any notif. or fault or error on the screen.. it plays only once when i unlock screen.
Whats that sound??
Ps: it was playing when my s3 unrooted and stock official rom. I rooted it and flash omega v13, its playing now too...

Lol in the relevant system/media folder and see if you have any additional files for unlock screen, another Rom might have dumped a new sound file and it needs removing?

I'm experiencing the same issue. It is intermittent, but generally if restart my phone it goes away for a while. I am unsure as to what triggers the sound to start again. The only way I can stop it is to turn off notification sounds altogether (or turn the volume down to mute), but this is not practical. I have tried to find the audio file to delete it, but no luck. Happy to record the sound if somebody tells me how!

guys
Take your accessory case off and i bet the noise goes away...
it is NFC ... near field communication... the phone is picking up your case and thinks its another device, it can be turned off in settings
took me ages to figure it out too

Cheers! I'll give disabling NFC a go (since I never use it but do need a protective case on account of having a habit of dropping my previous phone). I'll let you know how I go!

Hi,
Did you find any solution to the problem? I'm facing the same issue with my sony xperia P and eventhough i've disable the liveware manager app the phone is still running in the headphone mode. Eventhough I attach the headset, i'm not able pick up the call or start walkman etc through the button and can only answer calls either using the headphone or enabling loud speaker. This is really annoying... If you have resolved the issue, please help.
Plug the headset back in and out mine does it every so often

No...i'm relatively new and this is my first android phone and i don't want to do anything which will void the warranty...also i had repaired the phone yesterday and after that liveware manager is detecting the headphones attached to the phone eventhough none of the accessories have been attached....when i try to attach my headset it is not recognizing it...i can't even pick up the calls or turn on / off music from the headset button...i've tried to force stop, unistall the update (smart connect), disable the Liveware app but still no success...i'm not sure what should i do...do i have to repair the phone once again using Sony PC Companion?
Flashing with flashtool doesn't void any warranty as its flashing official firmware.
I guess its an option. What firmware are you currently on?
Or take it back to life shop for a new one?

No...its ICS only... I had updated it to ICS in the 3rd week of august when it was released in india....also, at that time i had faced similar issue but after i stopped using Smart Connect the problem had been resolved...in the mid september i had asked for a change in back cover of the phone and i got it yesterday...i repaired it yesterday and since then i'm facing this issue...

Hi,
No...actually my phone had fallen once and there was a scratch on the top left hand side with aluminium part slightly bent..but the phone was working perfectly and i had used it for about 10 days before i had submitted the phone to service center after resetting the phone to factory settings....this had happened during mid september....before that phone was working perfect and i had got the confirmation from the authorized service centre also on this and they had said the phone will be under warranty...even now its working fine the only problem is the ear speaker is not working...i can listen to the music or video when the phone is connected with headset...but when it's not i don't get any voice output...the phone is ringing when i recieve the call but i can't here the person who is on the other side unless i connect the headset...
Also, small info...when i try to set the ringtone, i'm able to listen to the ringtone through speaker if i try to set it using android system option but not able to hear it when i'm using the Sound picker option...
Also, even after hard restart the liveware manager is detecting the headphones eventhogh nothing is attached to phone?

Download the firmware -
http://www.xdafileserver.nl/Files/S...LT22i - 6.1.B.0.544 -Central Europe - ICS.rar
and extract the ftf file.
Download FlashTool and install -
http://www.xdafileserver.nl/Files/S...S/Flashtool/Flashtool 0.9.5.0 for Windows.exe
Once installed go to my computer - flashtool - firmware folder and put your ftf file you downloaded into it
Then run flashtool, click the lighting bolt and select flash mode. Then select your firmware and start. (it'll say preparing files. So just wait)
Then it'll ask for the phone to be connected. Turn off the phone. Hold the volume down button while plugging it into the computer and flashing should begin

hello, i have a Sony xperia u phone and today it wouldn't charge , when i plug the charger on , i don't get any indication that its charging other than the small led on the right top of the phone turning red, the status bar won't change, now the phone is out of battery and its still not charging , it wont show the battery animation when connected to the charger while off like it used to,
its been on the charger for 4 hours now and it wont turn on
the charger is working (tried with differant phone)
now is it possible that the battery died?
and i noticed that on the top of the battery next to the connecters there is a red square , i remember it was white could it be a sign that the battery is dead? can someone check on there battery what color is it? "couldn't find a picture of it online "
thanks for your help
if you have a multimeter you can see if battery has any charge (volts). look on the battery connector if it has + - signs.
should be around 3.7v, i think.
on my XGO i can't remove the battery, so there is the "hard reset" mode: press power and volume_up until the phone makes 3 vibrations
is there somethink like that on your phone?
