TWRP not showing Mean ROM - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Followed all steps to flash Mean Rom for Evo 4G LTE, except that the Mean zip file doesn't show up in TWRP when I click "Install" and search my files for the Mean zip file.
I've rooted multiple times to see if that was the issue.
I've deleted and redownloaded the Mean zip file multiple times to see if that was the issue.
My computer shows the file there when connected via USB, but TWRP isn't showing it when ready to install.
I rooted my Evo 4G two years ago with help from a friend, so I'm really a n00b at this.
Please help, thanks!

did u try both sd card folders?

Hold the volume down + power when you boot and see if it goes into bootloader. From there, see if you can go to "recovery" using the power button.

Check for SDCard1 and SDCard2 folders. When plugging it into my computer, the file was in SDCard2 and TWRP defaulted to SDCard1 folder so scratched my head until I finally saw both SDCard folders haha. Worked fine after I switched.

Iook under the mounts tab in TWRP and make sure the external sd card is mounted.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium

still no there...
In TWRP (recovery), I do see two SD card folders; "sdcard" & "sdcard2".
Following lanewhit's advice, I did mount the SD card.
But the Mean zip file still isn't showing.
~Brian

RESOLVED!
I had to unmount the SD card on my phone.
Then, connected phone to computer via USB through "media sharing" option on USB connection on phone.
Then, I was able to download the zip file directly to the phone.
THEN, the Mean zip file showed up for me to flash.
Weird.
Thanks all for the suggestions!

Make sure it has the appropriate extension (.zip) And also, it can't be all caps (.ZIP)

I suggest makin a new folder and drag and drop all your roms into that one. I named my folder zz-roms for ex. Now all I do is open that folder and flash away. I try and stay organized. Make sure its in your internal storage and not your sd card. Idk if twrp supports external sd cards on this phone yet

TWRP v2.2.0 supports external SDcard I did my rom update from it and it worked fine

[Q] Quick help for flashing via CWM

Hey I'm currently using the lightning 6.1 rom you guys have on this forum but I'm trying to get the new cyanogen mod 7.1 on my galaxy s2 instead via CWM.
I've rebooted into recovery to try flash the .zip but nothing shows up on my SD card... when I try enter the folder it just springs back to the start menu and i'm unable to flash.
Does anyone have any idea?
I have:
Formated my SD card, then put all my data back on.
Made sure the SD card is working.
So how comes its not working via CWM? I can ask to flash it via the actual app but when it boots into recovery to flash it gives me a signature error.

Try going to the "mounts and storage" option in CWM. Then click on mount sd card. That might be your problem.
TIP: If you want to flash CM7 flash this kernel before http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693 , becasue if your using cf root kenrel you will get into trouble.

I tried this and it still says there are no files on the SD card... do I need to name it something specific? I tried naming the rom zip update.zip once but that didn't do anything either.
I dont really want to flash to a recovery rom only if i'm not able to get CM7 off of my SD Card :/
*edit* I currently have the zips at the root of the SD card.. there are 4 folders data, LOST.DIR, DCIM and media... should the files be on the root or in another folder?
Make sure the zip file is on the root of the "internal" sd card, also just keep the name the same as the downloaded file. You should find it somewhere at the bottom of the list. Also select with the menu button, not the power button. Power button is to go back.

He means, place it on phones storage, and not the SD card. Just use the USB cable and transfer it from your PC (Or Mac )

Can't find ROMs on SD Card

Hello all, I searched but couldn't find an issue that matched mine.
I rooted with Odin and Superoneclick, and I have CWM Recovery 5.0.2.3. Been trying to flash ROMs from my SD card using CWM. I put the ROMs on the root directory of my SD card.
If I choose "choose zip from sdcard" I get what looks like the root directory of the actual phone, so I tried "choose zip from internal sdcard" and I get the error "E: Can't mount /emmc/"
To clarify, I have my music on my SD card and I have no trouble accessing it to play music. There is nothing else on it but music and ROMs.
Any help?
can you see them in file explorer? I always save them to a folder "ROMS_Kernals" I placed on the on the the internal sdcard ... /mnt/sdcard/ROMS_Kernals
Do you have USB debugging checked in developer settings? Not sure if that matters. But I think it might.
Also be sure its unplugged and not mounted to your PC.
i'm no expert but these are the steps i'd take.
Mine always end up in /sdcard/downloads - but I guess if you cant even see the mounted card dont matter where they are... Can you see your storage in kiesAir and verify the files are there?
File Explorer helped, I got it working, thanks a ton. MIUI and Litening both flashed with no problem, but I'm bootlooping CM7 so I'm looking into that.
Thanks again.

Indeed. Remembered reading that the other day and tried it out right after I posted. Just installed Google Apps, now time to decide how much more I like this than stock.
Thanks all.
For me hdmi out is too much to lose with cm7. I hope they can incorporate that.

[Q] Bootloop after Wipe ALL Data System Restore - HELP!

I was in the process of upgrading my Rezound from Scott's GB CleanRom to the ICS version, and accidentally downloaded the files to my internal card instead of the external sdcard. I didn't realize this before I rebooted into recovery selected "Wipe ALL data/factory reset." Because I'm dumb, I didn't do a Nandroid backup before doing this. Now when I try to reboot to get the files in the right place, I'm stuck in a boot loop.
I tried pushing the files from my computer to sd card via adb, but despite it appearing to work, the files never show up.
Is there anything I can do to get it to boot up once without doing a manual reinstall of everything through adb? Any other ideas? Would really appreciate the help, and sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I really did look around.
Use a card reader to put the files on from your PC. They should be in the right place then.

This. Just use the computer as an intermediary to drag from internal sd to computer to regular sd or just mount your sd card and re download. No need for adb commands; drag and drop should work sufficiently

Can't flash PJ75IMG after Dirty Racun S-OFF

Ok so I followed the instructions on Dirty Racun's tutorial to S-OFF my HBOOT 1.15 4gLTE, and it worked just about perfectly.. The only issue I had was something about a QHSUSB_DLOAD or something like that, but on the IRC chat the person helping me said that didn't matter, and as long as my bootloader said "*DIRTY RACUN* S-OFF HBOOT 1.15" that I was fine.. Well I had to fastboot TWRP because it wouldn't flash as a PJ75IMG.zip through bootloader, and since than I've tried a few other PJ75IMG.zip's and none of them are recognized in Bootloader either.. I asked for help in Dirty Racun's forum but I was told that they only assist us up until S-OFF and that anything after that was not in their venue.. I was thinking maybe this was a bad S-OFF, but not sure if I can redownload my S-OFF tools and try again, or what...!?
- yes the files syntax is correct
- yes I've placed them on /root of phone
- yes I've tried redownloading the zip's and flashing again
and no, none of that has worked...
Thanks in advance..
make sure its named properly
It does not go on root of phone but needs to go on root of external sd card

I am having the same problem, I had a good S-Off flash 100% no errors and am now stuck with the inability to flash PJ75.IMG.zip when trying to update my radios ect. I have tried everything cyntax, root of SD card, redownload zip file. But nothing works. One thing I found funny was that the external SD card folder in the TWRP recovery mounts is different than that of the external SD card when viewing it from the phone on diskdrive and mediashare. WTF I have tried all the roots of the external SD card in both of these programs and have reformatted my card to FAT32 still nothing will recognize in bootloader. PLEASE HELP ME

Yes it is the .zip file..... still doesnt work. Maybe I am putting it in the wrong on my external SD card or something. I am using medishare and putting the PJ75IMG.zip file into the "card" no the "phone" file. Is this correct Then when I view the ext_SD from TEWRP recovery it is not there so I reboot the phone and look back in the "card" file and it is there I feel like I tried every folder possible

It should go on your removeable SD card. It's not included when you buy the phone. So you will need to purchase or already have a micro sd card It's located under the back cover at the top. Instead of media share try disk drive

Mount the phone to computer as disk drive use file explorer and copy your file to x:\ where x is whatever drive letter the computer assigned to your external card. It can't be in a folder or the phone won't see it.
MeanROM 4G LTE
Sometimes the seperate sd card is labeled 'ext_sd'...
Sometimes the seperate sd card is labeled 'sdcard2'...
You have to be careful which identifier is used when trying to access the seperate sd card.

[Q] Need some help please.

I thought I was doing pretty good with this One being used to the HTC One X . Now a new problem I can't figure out. When connecting usb. It says usb connected. Debugging mode checked. My computer says Android device , My HTC. but it wont show as a hard disk in the computer, It only shows as a portable media player. I can't access the SD card, can't go into Recovery and mount SD card to copy or delete. This just started when I flashed Cognition 1 rom. I had factory on it before and was reading the SD by copying and deleting roms to the card. Any backup I make in recovery and rename , it still has a label as factory rom.
Windows 8,
unlocked , rooted, TWRP recovery v 2.5
I have a folder on the SD card labeled "Roms" where I put the Rom zips to flash in recovery and can't find that now either. In settings , under storage there is "mount usb storage " as greyed out. I have deleted HTC sync. Deleted drivers, reintstalled drivers and back to where I was before. Any help ?

I haven't got stuck yet to the point of no return. I tried using CWM no difference. Tried calling HTC. they offered no help. For some reason I just made another folder for roms and presto there is the folder. When in recovery I see the "rom" folder and whats in it, but connecting to the PC there is no folder except now the one I made. When I go back to recovery there is only one "rom" folder but I can also see what I put in it before making the new folder and adding to it. Still can't mount the SD card in recovery tho.

Never call support... Absolute uselessness in that solution. Just install from zip to get the boot.
