Hello, can anyone tell me how longer last your battery life with normal usage?
i've tried everything but my battery last less than 2h in normal usage, and not to be able to unplug the charger is pain in the head
Am using MiniCM7 by nobodyatall!
Thanks in advance : ]

Mine used to last about 4 days on stock rom, playing with nAa's kernel kind of buggered it up for me, so i'm not using that anymore. I've got my battery back to about 2 days now, but it's very erratic.
But that doesn't happen to everyone, so i'm not sure where the problem is with that.

Check what is hogging ur battery. The time the screen is on is what hogs battery the most, but in ur case is very extreme.
Did this happen right after u flashed the rom? or after a few days?
Try a full wipe and reinstall it. If problem still persist try a different rom.
If still no solution then most probably ur battery is dying on u. Best if u can test with a spare batt to cross out battery problem.
mine in standby (with 3g enabled all time) goes between 18 to 27 hours, depends of the signal strength and signal fluctuations
using it, (with 3g enable all time) goes between 4 to 6 hours depends on what I was doing and if I was static or on the move.
app running almost all time:
beejiveLM
facebook
smooth Calendar
google services
dspManager
Multiling Keyboard
account & sync settings
background data - enable
auto-sync - enable

1- friendcaster for android
1- facebook for android
1- gmail account (calendar, contacts, mail)
1- gmail account (mail)

undervolt
swap of 512MB
compcache 26%
jit - enable
surface dithering - disable
SD cache - 1024Kb
On my X10mini depends how often I use it.
- 3,5hours of hard playing (from max to absolutely depleting the bat)
- 12 - 16 hours of normal using (internet, sms, calling, gprs still enabled)
- 2 days standby (with few sms, some calls...)
Latest minicm7 with latest nAa kernel, cpu smartassv2 122 - 600 (now at 691), swap partition 200MB, brightness about 25% - 50%...
i'm running MiniCM9-3.0.3 with the nAa-ics-04 kernel on my mini pro and the bat lasts ~10hours by normal usage (sms, calls, a LOT of twitter, g+)..
before i had minicm7 with stockkernel and the bat lasts ~6 hours.. after deleting the facebook app it lasts ~8 hours.. (the fb app used nearly 20% bat and i haven't used it..)
try to delete all apps you don't use..
sorry for my english.. i'm not a native speaker =P
On my battery stat page. Display is always at the top, somewhere around 60% :S brightness is set to Auto and I barely ever use phone in bright light. Display off time is set to 30 secs, but i cant make it any less. I need it to be this much. The whole battery timing is around 18 to 24 hous in normal usage. Dunno how long standby should be, never tried. Using MiniCM7.

What is time the screen remains on? I have a desireS, I can use it in 1 day or drag to 2 days and my screen on time will always be around 3 hours for both. with wifi/data on all the time.
Related
Turn off 3G, turn on only when needed
Settings -> Location -> Untick ''Wireless Networks and GPS Satelites''
Settings ->Accounts -> Untick Background data (Unless you want to use market)
Settings -> Wirelless -> Advanced -> Wifi sleep policy -> Never
Use phone on 2G, unless using internet (then switch to 3G mode)
Data traffic always OFF (Use only when needed)
Backlight low or Auto Brightness (And allow light to decrease)
Turn off wireless, basically everything turned off with the power control widget, turn on when necessary
Install task manager and set auto-kill mode to crazy on switch off screen mode (Put apps that always run in ignore list e.g. Launcher, Messaging. Basically the necessities)
Install SetCPU (After rooting your phone) - Min CPU 122mhz, Max CPU ~700mhz - 'On demand' profile
SetCpu - Profiles -> Screen Off -> Min 122mhz, Max 122mhz, Performance mode
Upgrade to Froyo 2.2 - Enable JIT (Saves battery on 2.2+)
Switch to a Cyanogenmod Rom
Enable undervolting (Only for CyanogenMOD roms)
Use RenderFX widget (CyanogenMOD, best to use low red, best to use when you are heading out)
Cyanogenmod - Spare Parts -> End Button Behaviour -> Go to sleep
LAST, but NOT LEAST, if you notice no significant increase in battery life, then your battery is no calibrated right! So go to market, download 'Battery Calibration', and charge your phone to 100%. Next, if its abbout 4000v - 4200v, your phone is correctly calibrated!
If its not 4000 -4200, press the ''calibrate'' button, and let your phone die out, then fully charge it (while its still powered off). Wait till light is green, TURN ON.
After boot, battery will not be 100% yet, reboot once more, charge to 100% (while phone is on), and check your new calibrated battery! It should now be 4000 to 4200v
I know there might be programs and applications to increase your battery life, but I dont have any experience with these, so feel free to post your experiences! Some examples may include juicedefender, etc
Anyone wants to add to this list, feel free =)

I don't know what goes wrong, but mine losts for only one day. If i have charged it overnight the battery is empty the next evening
No task managers. The phone manages its RAM well and the battery will last longer. For normal uses upto 1.5 days and for heavy users 1 day.

and here I heard installing juicedefender does more damage than good too.. what to believe? Everything is based on peoples hearsay and no evidence..
On my girl friends X10 mini I changed from ADW launcher to Helixlauncher and changed the brightness to auto. That made a HUGE difference.
Was on vacation and turned off 3G because I was not gonna use any expenisve data. That alone boosted my batterylife about 1 days worth.

people can do much to boost battery time, like turn off 3g, brightness control, turn off gps and so on, that all helps the battery
I have switched of almost everything and still get about 1 day of battery with about 2-3Hrs of music and a few calls and videos.
is it ok?
I get over 48 hours and I use the wifi a lot and do about 30mins of calls a day.
My tips:
* turn background data off and manually update ur emails when u want - this is the best tip I put it on my blog too
* manually enable network data when u need it
* use the top button to go on standby as soon as you are done using the phone
* keep gps, 3g and wifi off unless u want to use it
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
I have background data off.
No emailing whatsoever till now....
Almost 75% of the time in standby
Gps 3G wifi bluetooth are off.
Yet with stock launcer i get 24Hrs
Helix 30Hrs..
Why?
Its been two weeks(or 3) since i bought the phone...
Please reply.
BTW when did you buy the phone?
^^Ok.
I have come to know the problem.
Running any apps in background like Battery Indicator or task manager brings down the battery so much(the latter not much though)..
Because daily i used to get the above with battery indicator pro on.
But after uninstalling it i got about double that battery life..
So people better don't run them all the time.
task manager can be used sometimes about once every 2 hrs o so.
This increased my battery life so much on stock launcher
Just got the pro today. Will be ditching my X2 depending on the performance of this one after a week. So far, I love the mini pro for the fact that I can now hear my incoming messages and calls!
A couple of questions though:
1) Is there a way to wake up the screen when an SMS arrives?
2) Custom ringtone per contact?
3) Is there a way to disable screen lock when the phone goes to sleep by itself (not pressing the power button) ?
4) Is there a way to unlock the screen without the need to press the left button, I was hoping to go directly to the pattern unlock after i turn on the phone
Still getting used to the keyboard lay-out as I've been using X2 for almost 6 months.

I use Chomp SMS app and this allows the screen to wake-up, I think Handcent SMS does too. I never used the stock SMS app so not sure if there is a way to do it with that.

Not sure if this answers your question, I just press the Menu button twice to unlock the phone, never used the power button to wake it up funnily enough, only used the power button go in to sleep mode. When I press Menu button it wakes up to the pattern unlock.

Nice, i'll try to look for those apps. I did try the menu button and it worked. At least this relieves stress on the power button since I won't be using it to wake-up the phone anymore.
How's about not locking the phone when it goes to sleep? Unless I press the power button?
After a day with it, battery is now @ 30%+. Hope it improves or SE comes out with a high capacity.
Hi, where is the disable 3G button?
I can't seem to find it. I found wifi on and off.
and I unchecked location with gps.
thanks
Helix launcher is the best thing I installed to my mini pro. Batt life is now 3-4 days regular use and 5 days if i don't play games. Games are draining the batt quickly.
I'm totally getting rid of my X2.
3 to 4 days? Lol how can that be possible.. Did you use 3g?

I can prove it, there's a display in the phone where it says # of hours unplugged. If it's not working for you, doesn't mean it shouldn't for others as well. If you barely make 2 days, then that's what we should be LOLing about.
My setting is as follows:
- 2g only
- 1 to 2 hours of wifi and bluetooth per day
- 1 to 2 hours of games (love the games) per day
- tried GPS for 1 hour using mapdroyd
- a couple of calls and text messages per day
- tried watching a movie (AVI) for an hour using yxflash
- tried the media, played MP3s for an hour
- tried meebo for an hour
- I got my alarms ON always
- notifications ON always
- custom led lights for new SMS (using ringo pro) always
- max volume for the entire day
- medium volume at night
- data connection off
- background data off
- screen brightness to zero but the sensor is still working (weird), the screens still adjusts to the surrounding
This is after installing helix. Before helix, I got a max of 1 and a half days only.

I have MINICM 7 Pro v6 for my Mini Pro, its battery timing is about 15 hours. Normal use with wifi and internet of barely 15-20 minutes, I guess its bad? I have the standard battery which comes with the phone. Please help me, I have tried the procedure of calibrating your battery (that drain battery totally again and again procedure)
What ROMs have the best battery timings?
ok, my english is not so good, but i try to write a few letters:
i phone around 30 minutes, send around 30 sms per day, 3G is always on, Bluetooth is around 1h on. With this "settings" my mini pro with GingerDX V17 hold the battery over 60 hours. - Bevor Ginger DX i have Stock rom (2.1) on my phone. with 2.1 an Black theme my battery hold nearly 100 hours.
At night i turn my phone into flight mode. So i have my alarm clock and safe the battery.
But if i surf in the www with the phone or install apps from the market, the battery drains quick

can you confirm these timings? This is almost 3-4 days always on!!
I never ever exceeded 2 days, with normal usage and 3G on...
Now, on MiniCM7 Pro, I can confirm the timings of TH3KiD: around 15 hours, with "normal" usage (3G on, several SMS, some calls).
Yes, it is so. I´ve also the Brightness from the Display at 40%. Over night at flight mode my battery drain only ~2% (~6-7h).
I don´t sync any apps (no Contakts with google, Facebook or beautiful weather). I do all this things manual (beautiful weather for example ~ 5 times a day). I´ve also turned off the "Background data" (unless i surf at the market). so my phone will make no updates or other thins, which drains the battery unnecessary.
Ok, the most people say at this point: "if i turn off the most features of a smartphone, i don´t need a smartphone..." - But a long standby time is for me more important than a update at (for example) facebook every half an hour or less.
I´ve found out, that the facebook app at the home screen also without automatic update drain the battery. After i´ve delete them from my homescreen, the battery drain not so fast.
Now i completely uninstall facebook from my phone. I make all the things on facebook with ma Internetbrowser (Opera mini)
Without this settings i also have to charge my phone every night.
I install GingerDX two times. At first my battery drain vom 100% to 10% in ~10h. So i made a full wipe and delete all "things" from my phone, than i install GingerDX a second time an since this time my battery hold about 60 hours.
The same at the update from 1.6 to 2.1 (original SE). First time the battery drain very fast, after the second installation it works great.
i post this also at "androidhilfe.de" (post 66) and the user "FOE" (post 69) can confirm this times. (at this time we have Stock SE Android 2.1 at the phone)
Hi all,
I'd like to start a thread here to discuss ics and battery life, maybe we can share some tips, tricks, new ics apps and general info to extend the battery of our phones.
I update to ics last nite on a full battery and when i went to sleep i turned wifi off, i noticed in this morning in battery usage graph that something kept the phone awake all nite, this never happened before, anyone have any idea or experienced the same thing?
Feel free to share anything that will help!

First trick ( note that you need root)
If you keep screen locked for a lot of time you can set min , cpu freq to 192 mhz and safe 25 mV (note that normally when you will unlock the screen , frequency will be higer than normal [100-200 mhz not 3Ghz :cyclops:]
a couple of tricks
non root
- disable all the different data options all the time if you not realy needet and able
- if your not on the internet: dissable WCDMA - GSM is highly enough to phone, send SMS, Email and stuff
- take a dark (best is black) Wallpaper and use a minimum of Brightness.
- use not a lot of Widgeds thats updatet all the time
- just install needet apps... kick out all your unneedet apps
- Dissable all animation gimmiks
- DONT USE AUTO TASK KILLER
- Disable auto Rotation
and for root users
- like Forzaferrarileo, set CPU profiles that press if the Screen is of, the Frequenci to a minimum
- Use the Conservative Governor and maybee use a lesser maximal Frequenzy
- if you use the Rom Toolbox, set your Sysctl Tweaks under "kernel tweaks" into something like
Min free bytes: 2048
Dirty Ratio: 90
Dirty Background Ratio: 60
VFS Cache Pressure: something between 10 and 20
- under Build.prop Tweaks set
Scan interwall to the max (300)
- Download Droidwall and block for the apps they dont realy needs internet the 3g option (dont save just a bit of battery, also saves Download and can made free apps free of adds )
- Dissable the Autostarts and the bootrecivers from apps you dont realy needs often (also with the rom toolbox)
Battery life post ICS is a lot better. I'd say its comparable to .73.
Here's why:
Using .75 FW whenever I would charge the battery to 100% and then unplug the phone from the charger, it would start draining almost immediately. Even on very light to light usage it would drain about 30% in 24 hours or so without any fancy apps that would want to use the data connection or CPU.
ICS: the phone is fully charged, battery drain when the phone is in standby is so much less. In 4 hours of standby time with data on the battery has drained 0% The behaviour of the battery feels very similar to .73 FW which I felt was a great update.

not at all... with this tweaks (without trigger the CPU to a lower level) if got with all my devices that i ever have the most exiting power... all my devices range under the top ten by the Antutu Benchmarktest - with mutch more Batterylife.. because, with this tweaks and Manual settings for Data options, you just use Battery at the time you need it
what is the sense of WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS, WCDMA is on while the Device is in the pocket? for nothing, expet for Battery drain.

Well it can easily be said that Smart Phone is not Smart enough when we talk about energy consumption. These Mobiles are designed for Charge as per Usage and claim of Manufactures are away from Reality.
We actually waiting this feature when our Smart Phone will give us Smart Battery Life at least of one Week in normal usage...
Think if I have Amoled or SLCD Display than why can not we we use to see a Picture in Brighter Mode to Save Battery?
If I Want to stay connected with the world than why should I turn off GPS, WIFI, WCDMA or Mobile Data?
No Moving Part but Battery got empty every 12 Hours?
Has some fancy features but on the cost of battery..
These are because we wish to have all Goodies and feature of PC in such a Tiny Device suppose to have a auto recharge mode using wind, light power
Limitations are there so on date we can not say it a SMART PHONE has some extra ordinary features but not a Complete SMART DEVICE.......
Don't forget about dalvik. Android isn't pure software. Its more like virtual machine. Because of that lots of energy is wasted and there is need for strong hardware...

seems i dont have much problem on my xperia sola ics, ill share some of my tips(battery life)
first thing, turn off wifi, mobile data, bluetooth, nfc, glove mode, sony bravia engine, and the animation. also dont use live wallpapers on your screen. only turn on if u realy need it
i usually charge my phone between 24-28 hours!
i recomended also not playing games every time..(actually i dont play game on my phone)
hope that will make your batterys life longger too and sory for my bad english..
I don't have any problems with my XPERIA P neither; phone lasts 2days easily and can last 3 when I don't use much (every day I use Wifi and 3G not heavy use but quite good), I just disabled Synch and activated advanced sleep mode for battery (loses 1% overnight)

If you face problem with battery.. draining like hell..
then these tips are for you....
1. Battery Calibration
2. Control Apps
3. Device Setting
1. Battery Calibration
Don't use any application..
Just charge your battery till 100%.. Restart your phone
without remove charger..Important
after restart (battery show 60 to 98%. leave it on charge again till 100% + 2 hrs. more
Then remove from charger & use phone until battery drain to 0% and switch-off itself
Don't recharge between 100 to 0%.. then try to restart at least 3 time.. to sure drain battery completely
now connect your phone to charger.. after 10 minutes start your phone.
but don't remove your charger till battery goes 100%...Important
(sometime it take more than 4-5 hrs. so better in night) When battery goes 100% ...now you done Calibration..
Technically..
on every restart Android reset Battery (by wipe battery status)
So.. on 100% Android make Maximum level - on 0% minimum level
P.S. Do this calibration on every ROM flash or at-least one time a month..
2. Control Apps
Some Application consume battery do much..
i.e. Facebook, Youtube, Maps, Whatsapp, Viber, Yahoo! Mail / Messenger, Skype, Hotmail.com, etc.
so when you don't use these apps (running in background) kill them .
Better use Browser Bookmark instead applications
i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo Messenger, Outlook,
It help to save your RAM also..
3. Device Setting
lowest brightness..
lowest screen timeout
Close WiFi if no need
Close Data Conn. if no need.
Close Bluetooth if no need.
Close GPS if no need.
try to use dark backgrounds..
Try these tips then tell me how your battery work
Sorry for horrible & terrible English
Credit goes to ekhasti

If you face problem with battery.. draining like hell..
then these tips are for you....
1. Battery Calibration
2. Control Apps
3. Device Setting
1. Battery Calibration
Don't use any application..
Just charge your battery till 100%.. Restart your phone
without remove charger..Important
after restart (battery show 60 to 98%. leave it on charge again till 100% + 2 hrs. more
Then remove from charger & use phone until battery drain to 0% and switch-off itself
Don't recharge between 100 to 0%.. then try to restart at least 3 time.. to sure drain battery completely
now connect your phone to charger.. after 10 minutes start your phone.

Just one comment on your procudure.
The text as you wrote:

Io-li batteries cannot be fully discharged. POwering up mobile at 0% (withou charger pluged in) just to exaust battery can lead to a permanent battery damage or shortage in its life.
The rest of the procudure may help (or not),
hello everyone,
I used to have great battery life on M4 aqua dual 16GB version E2333 with stamina mode on
it only dropped 1% per hour in idle mode, now it will fall a whole 4-5% in idle mode
the device is only 2 weeks old
the most recent changes I did were installing :
colornote
evernote
google keep
swiftkey beta
and I think I may have logged in facebook app but not sure if this was prior to battery fast drain or not
I checked power management in settings and it is not pointing any fingers toward any battery hogger application
I just need help on how to troubleshoot this and I swear that i will immediately make a full system backup
if it goes back to tiptop shape
I'm using stock android Build 26.1.B.2.147 not rooted

it doesnt seem to be consistent sometimes the battery will be minimal sometimes not i think it depends on what running in the background however the batery life is acceptable
I sleep 8-9 hours and my battery goes -4%. You should enable more STAMINA features and disable exceptions. You should delete Facebook app since you don't use it. If it doesn't help, considering your phone is not brand new, change your device's battery and don't let it go under 20%.
