I love aokp and i want to continue using it but the battery is draining quickly because of wake up. I do not know what to do, so anyone can give advice on what i should do? I only used the phone for a few minutes as i slept and went to school.after reaching home the battery is almost dead.

if you made it readable you might get more help
try charging it to 100%, calibrating the battery, letting it die, and then recharge it to 100% without any interruptions.

Difference???
Download the Battery Calibration app from the market and follow its instructions.
Also, go to the battery settings and look up what's eating so much battery.
I've read before that Motoblur Social Networking service can misbehave and slaughter the battery.

how long is the battery life?
Ill retype again before the ota update i was getting 12 to 18 hrs batt life now after the update with no changes im losing 10% batt life a half n hour. And that metal clip that holds the sd card gets so hot it could almost burn ur finger if u touch it i rooted my phone yesterday using preinstall method. Just so i could try freezing the at&t bloat and still no help. Hopefully this is a lil better than first mess. Sorry just really wish i could find something to fix this nobody else had or has this problem?

If i were you i would do a factory restore. No, actually if i were you i would flash a ROM that allows bypassing motoblur login (like NinjaFC).
Cause I am 99% damn sure one of the motoblur services is destroying your battery.
not to sur how to flash my rom been looking into it and kinda need help im on the official ota how would. I start everywer i look says to wait please help

I heard that many people have been having problems with the new ORA update. My advice would be the same as others. Flash a ROM specific to your phone.
In case you still want to throw your ATRIX away....can you throw it into my bin? XD

Battery Readings.

I have a weird issue with my battery ..my phone will charge up to 100% but as soon as I unplug it...it takes less than 10 minutes for it to go down to 85%. Then it seems that the battery starts working normally after that...my phone is not rooted.
Any ideas or solutions?
Thanks in advance..

If you want help I suggest you provide more information. ie what rom you are running, how long you've had the phone, etc. If it is a brand new phone your battery may just need to be conditioned. Charge it to full, use it to empty, charge to full again and you should be good to go.

Its odd that a new stock phone doesn't run the battery well. in any case, the battery may not be calibrated yet. you can run this program. it will set the calibrate your battery for you. Let your phone drain down to under 15% before you recharge again. And let it fully recharge to 100%, then run it down thru the day to under 15%. After a few cycles like this, the battery will normalize. Then you will get a better idea of the battery life of your phone.

[help] battery was good now bad

Hay guys,
So for the first couple of weeks my battery life was awesome on the s3 and was going an entire day easy with like 40% at night before bed...
However now it is seriously draining fast, I go to work at 8 get home at 5 and I have about 12 percent left with moderately light use...
First thing I thought was maybe an app but in the battery section didn't show anything odd, I got betterbatterystats to see more detailed but don't know what alot of the wake locks are... Here are the screen shots any input/advice is welcomed!!!

WAKELOCKS ask in the better battery stats thread .

Have you changed the Rom? If so you need to download a battery calibrator from the store and reset the stats with it once fully charged.
You might have an app draining your battery, install free "Watchdog" app, and set it to monitor all processes, and it will sound an alarm if an app is misbehaving.
Also install cpuspy and reset the counter and then leave your phone for 30min or so, then check how much time your phone spends in deep sleep.

NOT TRUE.

Thanks got cpuspy and it spend most time in deep sleep... I'm Inking now it's because at work I have bad reception if that's the cause what can I do? If anything lol...

If you dont use 3g or 4g for downloads, switch your phone to gsm, A stronger signal means the phone does not have to work as hard and uses less power.
Also disable account syncing, stops your phone from waking up.

It's not bad. Try better battery stats to see your wake locks and cpu spy to see if your device is deep sleeping

About deep sleep i already checked vefore and it does but as for better battery status i just downloaded the app. Should i just let it installed and dont touch or do i need to run in the background?

Some parts of it need root access. But it should still give you the wake locks. Just let it run in the background and check it after a min of 5hrs
Is that good for you? That's all it matters.
It looks alright to me.
Can it be improved? Of course.

I think you have several times recharge the battery to 100% and also drain the battery until phone turn off to calibrate.

Something is draining my battery

All of a sudden I'm losing battery like a champ. I unplugged my phone after fully charging it overnight, 25 minutes later with absolutely no use at all I'm at 88%. What's out there to help figure out what's draining my battery
