SG3 Disable Exchange policy password lock - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My company exchange policy forces me to enter a PIN everytime I use my SG3. On my iPhone, I was able to disable this policy by jailbreak and using a Cydia app which supresses the keylock.
I was looking for a similar option on my new SG3.
I already checked and followed the step on the following page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117452&highlight=email+security
which did not work. No errors were given, my email.apk was successfuly patched.
I still need to enter my PIN every time I activate my SG3. Did someone managed to bypass the keylock when activating?

Users and dear users don’t be so panic as if is facing any problem there is a definite solution to that problem as well. If you face a locked out then you can bypass the pattern lock.
There is very commonly used method to bypass android pattern lock which you have forgotten bu that will for sure make you loose all your data and all your contacts and everything. in other words it will make the phone a device the same as your bought with everything wiped off including all applications. This can be dony by going into the recovery mode of any android device. and then select factory reset option. We will help you out and you just need to follow some ADB commands and then you can finally bypass the pattern lock on an android device. SOME BASIC STEPS BEFORE YOU BEGIN Unlock & ByPass a Pattern Lock on an Android Device Without Loosing Data
The very first and important need is the ADB drivers that must be installed in your PC.
Then it is really important that the USB debugging must be enabled before your device being locked.
You should be very carefull while installing the drivers of your device. This technique will not work without installing the specific drivers.
Users might feel really annoyed and irritated when they tried the pattern lock several times in panic and unfortunately their android smartphone displayed locked out. Further users cannot access their android smartphone and at last need to bypass the pattern lock.
HOW TO BYPASS THE PATTERN LOCK ON AN ANDROID DEVICE
Just Follow the easy tutorial to Unlock an android’s pattern lock without factory reset after when you have forgotten it. And yes its that easy as it sounds.
Users need to connect their android device via USB cable to PC.
You must now open the folder where you installed ADB driver.
Now you just have to click right on the screen’s blank area along with hold the shift key and select “OPEN COMMAND WINDOW”.
A window command will prompt and then you just need to type the following:
adb shell
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where name='lock_pattern_autolock';
update system set value=0 where name='lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently';
.quit
Once it has been done then you have to reboot your android device.
Now it is all done and set.
After following this guide tutorial now you can access your android device as the pattern lockhas been completely disabled.
There is another method not to bypass the lock pattern on and android device but to get your device being unlocked. It is through G MAIL. When you face problem of locked out just click on forgot pattern and follow the basic instructions that follow.
If this guide tutorial really helped you out then please share your experiences with us. And if still any problem persists you can ask for our help and we are there to help you out.

So anything not working with the post or anything you are confused with, just let us know in the comment section below or contact us from the top menu.

Should we type it just as you mentioned or there is something about the spaces or should It be typed like a paragraph as you mentioned

[Q] Is there an alternative to the Asus UnLock Device App?

I was just given a tf201 in excellent condition, running stock Jelly Bean 4.1.1.
I have it rooted; but, also want to unlock the bootloader, so I can put a better ROM on it.
Every video or forum thread I have found says to use the Asus UnLock Device App v6.
A few threads say that it now only supports ICS; and, that may be the root of my problem:
Despite following every recommended step for installation and unlock, the Unlock Device App will not recognize my Google Password (a requirement). I do not use 2-step authentication, I went into Google Settings, and changed "Allow less secure apps" to 'ON'. I even changed my password, deleted/recreated my account in the tablet. Despite all of this, the Unlock Device App will not accept my Google Password...and, won't unlock the Transformer Prime.
Does anyone know of an alternative method to unlock the tablet; or, or a 'fix' for my Google Password issue?
Thanks, in advance!

EDIT: Everything I've read says the unlock tool is the only option. The serial number on the device apparently gets checked against a database in the Asus China servers, which unlocks encryption so the bootloader can be unlocked.
I had a similar experience when I unlocked my Prime last weekend. I can't remember exactly what I did to get it to work, but it finally did work for me after I tried different things. The device is on firmware 4.1.1 JB/ 10.4.2.18.... so it definitely does work on JellyBean.
I didn't have 2 step verification activated either, but if I recall I had the issue where Google was not allowing less secure apps. Since you allowed that.... I'm not sure why it's not completing the process for you. I think I had received some sort of notification on the Tablet after typing in my Google password... and I had to confirm the notification to allow the app to have full account access.... but I honestly can't remember. I do remember looking through all the troubleshooting tips here: ( https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en ) and here ( https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6009563 ).
I also remember using ES File explorer to see if there were any leftover files from the unlocking attempt, and I remember seeing a text file named "Unlock" or something like that, which I believe the app had created. (I've got to head out the door to get to work in a moment, so don't have time to look for it again right now)... but see if you can find that file and delete it... then try wiping data and cache in the Manage App settings, reboot the phone, and try to run it again.
The process was a pain in the butt for me too, but it finally worked, so hopefully you can get it to work for you too.
Thanks! Was given a really simple solution at another forum: Factory Reset/DO NOT register any Google account/use the UnLock Device App v6.
Worked like a charm.

Options for not Unlocked device
Hi,
I tried multiple times to unlock the bootloader in the last 2 years (unsuccessfully), then few days ago I contacted Asus and they replied to me that "The unlock tool has been discontinued since 2014", so no way to unlock.
What are my options now? No way to install new roms, but there is any known method for at least rooting the device (with the latest firmware)?
Thing is, that I really liked the transfomer (especially the keyboard) but it's always been too slow to browse the internet, and actually there is no replacement I can buy (asus make some similar products but are all windows based and most of them have a quite cheap look).
Thanks a lot for the help!

I rooted with motochopper, so now I have root access. I installed and used fstrim, seems like there was a small performance improvement. Not sure if I have anything else I can do to speed it up with root but no custom rom.
Hi i used the unlock tool last night, and it was a pain, as it wouldn't accept my google password! I found a solution on here, after reading what seemed like have the board posts for the TF201. So basically what I did was -
1. Go to the tablet settings, and set a pin code as the unlock method.
2. In Google, set the less secure apps permission.
3. Load the unlock app again, and accept the warnings.
4. When it asks for verification, use the unlock code option.
5. Wait for it to do its thing, and Tablet will reboot.
6. Once finished, restart the Tablet, in top left hand corner during boot it will say this device is unlocked.
Hopefully this will help.
Regards Bill
Thanks Bill,
I tried again today, following your steps, but this didn't worked. My problem is that the unlocker just fails, it never prompted me for the google account password. It saves a file with the unlock date.
I think I need to try again with the factory reset (that I tried in the past actually, and didn't worked).

Just tried this tonight and it worked. No Google account activation but I did set a screen lock. I setup the wifi in the beginning setup screens. and Used the Unlocker from the Asus Tf201 Download
Installed unlocker and opened the program and asked for asus tf201 pin code. System accepted settings and rebooted.

xt1528 verizon moto e Need help bypassing account verification

So my friends phone is stuck at the account verification screen after a factory reset. The owner isn't tech savvy so he asked someone to setup a google playstore account for him. So when there was problem with the phone and the screen blacked out I factory reset the phone. Everything came back but he doesn't know the google account that was used so now it's stuck during setup. Note the japanese keyboard trick doesn't work on this model cause it's not the same one in the tutorials there's no keyboard settings to view the privacy policy but I was able to get to the dialpad by viewing the motorola privacy policy at the user agreement screen and following the same instruction. My issue is that the test mode code *#*#4636#*#* doesn't bring up the test menu so I can't get to the settings to enable ADB debugging. Is there an alternative dialing sequence for this model? The other thing I wanted to try was to flash a different stock rom on this and maybe the dial sequence would work there. Other people had success doing that on other phones. So is it possible to flash a stock rom from say a xt1527 to the xt1528. My idea is even if the rom is buggy once I can get through the account verification to remove the google account I can re-flash the stock rom for the xt1528 back.
Can't flash a different ROM. The XT1528 has a locked bootloader.

thanks, I was hoping that since the hardware was the same it would accept a stock rom from another carrier without the need to unlock the bootloader.

Same here. I got a FRP locked xt1528 given to me. After wrestling with all known methods I could find, I finally reached the realization that I couldn't pull it off. I parted the device out on eBay. I'll give credit where credit is due. That's the most rock-solid FRP I've ever encountered. I bypassed a new Galaxy s7 in only a few days. That was child's play in comparison to the xt1528.

sounds like i got further along than you guys.
I was able to able to get into the settings on an frp locked xt1528. But I was still unable to bypass frp. Tapping on build did not enable debug. factory reset was greyed out. I was able to enable unknown sources and use chrome to download apks then launched the downloads gui to access the download folder then i tried to install the apks from the download folder but the install button was disabled so all i could do was cancel the install. Its locked up real tight.
I tried disabling setup but that didn't help.
update:
I was able to to get around the disabled next/install button and launched gsf.login to try the browser sign in but it doesn't sign in to google and keeps giving me the error : "there was a problem communicating with google servers ...". then I tried to take over with test dpc but it did not give the option to take ownership of the device but it has option for work profile. I added a work profile and i tried to add a work email and there was no message that the device was reset but the gmail account was not added because of the google servers error. I am hoping to add a tutorial once i succeed. Also factory reset needs root to be launched.
update 2
I managed to unblock the factory data reset in the menu but the phone was still frp locked after resetting through the menu.
Any suggestions?
update 3
I fully bypassed the frp and added a google account. I'll post a tutorial when I can.

SM-A300FU FRP Bypass or removal

Hi there
I'm looking for some help on bypassing FRP for a Samsung Galaxy A3. Reason being is the phone was reset back to factory settings but on turning it on again after inputting the Wi-fi details, I'm greeted with a Samsung account box saying something like "this was an abnormal reset please enter details". The original problem was that I forgot the Samsung account password and thought this would remove it. At the time the AOL email address was not receiving the password reset email which is why the weird reset. To actually reset the phone, I looked on YouTube and did the way via Google Account Manager.
Anyway, to fix the problem, I read on other areas about something called Odin and managed to get other stock firmwares (UK 3G v5 and 6 of Android) but none worked to bypass this reactivation lock. Obviously the easy fix would be to log into the Samsung account and I eventually did by resetting the password (came 1 day later) but when I enter the correct details, I'm greeted with a "Processing failed" message.
I looked on YouTube again and did some RealTerm stuff which nearly worked but I could not open a browser as the phone said something about "for security". Patched I assume?
So basically is there anyway to remove FRP via some method or software that is not patched? The phone has none of this rooting or anything, I could barely understand how Odin worked. It's as stock as you would get from a shop. Ideally some software where I put the phone into Download mode, connect the USB and click "Disable FRP"?
Thank you

Here's a thought. You said that it took a whole day to get the new password from Samsung. Whenever I have asked for a reset like that, the new password was only good for anywhere between 10 minutes to a few hours. If it was delayed, I had to start the process over.
Could this be the problem you're having?

How can I access my Android?

Hello everyone and thank you for reading my post! I had an Android which I kept in a different state after I moved. After I received it by mail (after 2.5 years) I did a factory reset because I did not remember the passcode. But now to open the Android it requests the Google login for the Google account I had on that phone. In the 2.5 years I didn't have that phone, I also began to use a different Google account and I don't remember the old one. IS there a way I can get past this? Maybe with some software or hackery?
Humbly,
Tom

The problem is that the phone requests my old Google account because that's the one that I had when I used the phone. I tried inputting my newer one and the phone rejects it and doesn't unlock. I don't remember the old Google Account. How can I unlock it?

I remembered it!
Factory reset many times until function "Create Google Account" appears.
Remove SIM from the phone.
Use Wi-Fi while setup is on process

Have you tried doing a complete Factory Reset? If not, you can do that and then add this new Google Account.

I did a complete factory reset, yes
@humbleTom
That's FRP (factory reset protection). Background: Let's pretend that your mobile device got stolen. The first thing a thief will do is to reset the phone, because without knowing the correct display pattern the device is pretty useless (and it's very hard to sold in that state ). Since the settings menu is also unreachable with a locked display the thief is forced to reset the phone via recovery mode. This mode must be always accessible by pressing the right key combo in case you are in serious trouble with an unbootable device. Doing it that way, the following setup of the device requires a login to the last active Google account to verify the owner.
This verification step is also required if you do a factory reset in your settings menu. But here the verification is done before you delete everything by entering your display pattern. This will disable FRP for the following reset because you have then verified that this device is yours.
@WoKoschekk thank you for your answer. Is there any software I can use? I once forgot the password to my windows computer and found software online that was able to unlock the computer. Do you know of anything like that for Androids?

We are talking of a security feature that protects the device. It's not allowed to give any help to bypass FRP in a public forum.
what phone model/android version we're talking about? samfw supports some devices.
