When I've put podcasts on my phone previously, I've been able to subscribe to them automatically through the phone (so I don't need to use my PC to download them anymore). However, I've added a couple more over the past couple of days and I don't get the option box to subscribe anymore.
If I go to a podcast that I've had on my phone for a while, the "Unsubscribe" and "Series Settings" options are still there. They just down't show up on the newer podcasts. Does anyone else have this problem? Turning the phone off and on again doesn't fix it and deleting an re-adding the podcast has no effect either.
I've got the latest software (12220) on my Lumia 800 so I don't know what the issue could be.

Sounds like you've not activated your "Connect to Zune" option after the update.
Check Settings > applications > music+videos > Connect with Zune option = On
Hope that helps mate.

I checked and it was on. I've turned it off and on again and turned the phone off but it didn't change it.

So every few days my Titan will default to the Atlantic time zone instead of Eastern time, thus making my time off 1 hour. Very irritating indeed! I've disabled automatic time updates however it's still changing by itself. Any ideas? I'm running DCD 3.2.6.
Maybe.
If you go to phone -> menu -> options -> Services -> time synchronizations -> Get Settings
If the setting is on to synch time to the mobile network, try to turn it off.
Maybe.
Thanks for the response, but from my original post: "I've disabled automatic time updates". That's clearly not the problem, as it's been disabled for quite some time.

Sorry, I'm blind.
When I read that I was thinking you meant the time update in activesync.
Can it be related to activesync?
As far as I know Activesync doesn't change system time automatically or otherwise for that matter?!? If it does please let me know.

Yes it can.
Sync the PDA.
Go to Activesync -> Tools -> Options
Select the PC name you are syncing with. Then select 'settings'. There is a check box for "sync date & time" there.
Actually, it does. I'm in Mexico city and AS will change the time zone for my mogul every time I sync to match the time zone on my PC. That stopped last week though; since we went out of (or is it into??) DST again this Sunday.
Older version of WinMo (i.e. 2003 and 5) made this change permanent, but I keep mine with auto time updates and it reverts back to the proper time when I turn the screen off and on again after the sync is finished.
Also, Outlook needs to be patched for proper sync to occur. Check this Microsoft article to correct the problem.
Let us know if this helped.
are you using garmin mobile xt? there was an issue of this happening, although it was strictly to 8:00 time change it might be something to look at .
Nope, I don't use Garmin XT, nor do I sync with my computer by plugging it in and using ActiveSync with a cable. Ever since I started using an Exchange Server I just sync the data that way. Strange thing is, the date hasn't had a random change in over a week now, while other weeks it would change on a daily basis. Bizarro!
Hello
Since the Daylight Saving time went ahead this past weekend, my HD2 has lost the plot. After reading a few messages on here I decided there was no solution for the myriad of problems I am experiencing.
1) I have disabled Internet Sync for the clock so at least now phone displays the correct time, however
2) my G-Alarm eventhough it rings at the correct time it always tells me my alarm will go off one hour ahead of time, for example when I go to bed at midnight and set the alarm for 7 am it says I have 8 hours to go...
3) SMS timestamps are all over the place.. Everytime I reply to someone my reply goes above the message I am replying to because I have manually set my phone to be taking into account DST but apparently Orange arent sending the correct data?
If anyone has a suggestion that doesnt involve calling Orange or HTC (called both, neither had a solution and both blamed the other) and if there is a solution that doesn't involve UMTS and Internet Sync please do let me know.
Bottom line please help!!
Try this:
Start - Settings - Menu - All settings - personal - phone - GSM & UMTS services - time synchronization - settings > delete all checks.

Thank you for the suggestion, I did that two days ago and since then still all of my messages come with the wrong time stamp through and G-Alarm thinks I should have one more hour of sleep.

I've had the same problem with the sms timestamp (G-Alarm was OK), but this is what I did and it worked for me:
- disable sense in Start > Settings > Home > Items > (untick HTC Sense)
- go to Start > Settings > Personal > Phone > GSM/UMTS Services > Time Synchronization (untick Auto sync)
- set up the correct time and time zone in Start > Settings > Clocks& Alarms (I changed my timezone from Prague to Berlin/Rome)
- soft reset
- enable sense in Start > Settings > Home > Items > (check HTC Sense)
- softreset
try it, maybe it will work for you too...

Sorry to hear that,
well then it's time to call HTC or your provider
Been having the same problem, for me disabling operator time sync and internet time sync and then connecting to the laptop via active sync and letting them both sync has sorted the problem for me.

Matty you are a GENIUS!
It worked all of the time dependant functions are finally ok!
Thank you thank you thank you.
now ive tried many key words and phrases to search, maybe im just searching wrong or something but i cant find any fix to this yet im sure others have experienced it.
basically my data keeps turning on every 10 minutes or so after i switch it off. no programs are running, weather not set to update, youtube hasnt been set to login and neither has twitter, activesync set to usb. the only home screen tabs i have are messages, internet, photos&vid, and weather. time isnt set to update via internet. auto update of database within the data connection are turned off, auto config turned off
im on the verge of hard resetting.
not sure, but maybe WMLongLife could help to identify the culprit, as with each new connection it asks you to define connection type/access
go to settings tab / more / connections / connections / advanced / choose networks -> programs with automatic internet access use: set to "firmennetzwerk" (i guess its work network or something similar).
now your phone doesnt connect data anymore..
if you want to connect it again, you have to change that again..

Did you uncheck "My Location"?
have you tried the "no data.cab" file works for me
yea ive looked into the above solutions but didnt want anything semi-permanent.
ironically i soft reset the device about 4 times within 30min and its back to normal now...go figure.
Search for dialup enablerdisabler. Install it first thing after a new Rom. Goto start find it and disable data once and for all

Hi
The app "social networks" (already installed as part of motoblur package) keeps "forgetting" to update from time to time. Anyone else has the same problem or knows a solution?
The app does not have a menu to manually update or change any settings.
Right!!! I have the same problem I'm not able to find setting for synchronization...I dont have understand how often the message of facebook (motoblure) are checked??
usually it must be checked every couple minutes as it always seems up to date, but now mine hasn't synced since two days ago. Restarting the phone didn't help either.
I've noticed that after the update (coincidence?) my widget fails to update. This works for me:
menu>settings>data manager>data delivery>background data (toggle the setting off then on) and escape. Seems to keep me going until the next morning. I think the smart battery saving settings that are in effect overnight (default) clog up the works so I need to repeat the process daily...
Yeah, it seems to have failed after update 2.21 > 2.51
And there is no way to manually refresh.
Hi everybody, i keep receiving this annoying pop up with wifi scanning every time i lock my phone even when the wifi is off or on. I turn the scanning off / on from developer mode (kept it in both ways for a while but still the message appears). Location off/ only gps/or high accuracy. Seems that all the commands don't really work.
Please help!
Thanks
I have the same problem! Would be great to get a solution to this. For me, the pop-up only seems to appear when I have Wi-Fi turned off. Whenever the pop-up appears, it minimises the app I'm in, too, which is really annoying because I use Google Maps in my car a lot, and I like to have the Wi-Fi off so the phone doesn't keep trying to connect to Wi-Fi networks that require authentication.
Now its happening the same with me...when wifi is off... It supposed to be an option in the wifi advance settings but...i dont see anything there...that helps...
Have you tried going into settings-security & Privacy-Location services-tap on 3 dots-scan settings and make sure wifi and Bluetooth scanning is off?
Yea, i did that too... Everywhere i could possible know it can be a setting to scan/ locate )... Only thing seems to work for not so many popups is letting wi-fi on all the time ). Good that it has good battery life...
Turning the WiFi + off solved the problem for me.
I have the same problem it's really annoying... And it pops out every once in a while it doesn't matter if you click agree or deny on this message
The only thing that seems to be working it's keep the wifi on... But of course I shouldn't be like that.... Any idea why we have this annoying pop up message?
Found this at Android Central, has to do with incompatibility with latest play store update. If you downgrade play store , then you get popups about Google play services being out of date. Oh well, just keep hitting cancel I guess. Im sure an update to solve will come soon. Lol
Here is what Huawei sent me:
Thank you for contacting Huawei Device USA!
We really appreciate your interest in our devices.
This is caused by incompatibilities between the device and Google Play services of version 12.8.74 or later.
Solution:
It is recommended that you try to solve it in the following three ways:
When pop up, touch CANCEL button.
Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Location services > The three vertical dots > Scan settings, turn off WLAN scanning.
For now, you are advised to go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Apps > More > Show system processes > Google Play services >The three vertical dots > Uninstall updates(This path will not appear until the version is updated).
Feel free to share this information.
Huawei is actively working with the Google development team to provide a final solution. Please stay tuned for updates about this issue.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you, we are working hard to make a connected world and this includes the satisfaction of our valuable customers.

Mate 10 lite here, been receiving this pop-up like mad yesterday. So I was right in thinking that the pop-up was probably caused by Google being Google again.
Hopefully we get a final solution that doesn't involve downgrading Play Services, a component that insists on being up to date.
