[Q] is anyone else getting constant freezes?

I have tried in freezing all the apps to Bo extent and haven't uninstalled anything. I thought it might have been launcher pro so I uninstalled that with no success. It happens frequently when listening to music. Maybe I need a task killer? Help?

Haven't had this problem.
Can't say that I have had this problem.

ive never had that propblem... i dont know what moto did, but this is the most stable android phone ive ever owned, and ive owned just about every one verizon has sold.
Well I can't seeing it being a defect because it allows me to click the app, but it freezes halfway through. Maybe I'm not giving i enough time to boot up..?
I've had this issue as well. Freezing mostly when playing Angry Birds. I'm not sure if it was to do with Wifi since I only play when working at the gift shop and I'm on wifi because no cell service in that part of the hospital

GTA III htc rezound

I just gave GTA III a quick spin on the rezound and was pleasantly surprised. The rezound runs it with such ease and they really did a great job with the controls. It's still hard to wrap my mind around being able to play such a massive game on my phone. This game will be definitely taking up a lot of my free time over the coming weeks.
I can't wait to pick it up. Also, Sonic CD came out today. That was pretty much the last game I expected on a phone. You have no idea how excited I was lol. I saw it on AC and I exclaimed "what the ****? Hell yeah!"
I haven't gotten a chance to try out sonic cd yet but I'm pretty blown away with the number of awesome games hitting the android Market, and I'm pumped that I have a phone that will be able to run them all so easily.
played GTA 3 tonight and it works very well. Was suprised how fast the loads are. My accelerometer was acting wonky though so driving was a pain. Car would pull all the way to the left with accelerometer on. Going to try a soft reset and give it another go.

I too tried GTA3 tonight and was also surprised at how well it ran. I'd like to see some of my other favorite games coverted over as well. The rezound has better gaming performance than I expected.
How did you guys download this? The market keeps telling me my phone is not compatible.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
You shouldn't have any issues downloading it from the market with the Rezound since it's compatible.. but if you are for some strange reason you can always log into the market in your internet browser and download it from there, you just select your device and it should start downloading to your device within minutes
I'm not having any luck. It definitely says it is not compatible with the rezound. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening or how to fix it?

this game is amazing, also look into OnLive app for some really good games

Yea i have this problem also and i just email Rockstar about it. ill report back when i get a reply
I've had the same issues with the accelerometer, when I turn it on in GTA III it forces my car to turn left. Luckily the game isn't dependent on using the accelerometer because if it was it wouldn't be playable

I'm not sure it's the phone. I have other games that are dependent on the accelerometer and they work fine. I just tried to use it on this game, though, and it turned left constantly.
yeah, it says incompatible with my devices (incredible and rezound) wtF?
I am pissed I went to buy it today and it won't let me. Even though it is compatible with the rezound

I already have it but I can't find it in the market. Somewhere there was a link that I used to get it. I need to try the accelerometer out.

I'm wondering if they took it down because of the accelerometer issues, I'm glad I downloaded it the first day it really does work great. Hopefully its back up soon for everyone.

Glad to know it's not just me. Other games using the accelerometer seem to work for me, so not sure.
And it's also not showing up in my market either now. How they get it fixed.

Internet app crashes my phone.

Hey there,
Like the title says, the default internet app crashes my phone when I go to open it. So.. I can't accpect terms of service of free wifi's which sucks because the 3g also sucks. Any easy way to fix this, like maybe just reinstalling the app??
I have a Sprint 3d on [Deodex][Team Nocturnal][2.89]Common Sense v2.0[ICS]. It has been working great for months, its just recently acting up. I haven't done anything major to the phone that I could think would cause it to mess it up.. expect drop and crack the screen,, haha.
Ideas and help anyone?

[Q] YouTube App problems

I purchased the G3 on release date and was excited when I got time to test it out. YouTube happened to be one of the first Apps I tried and I found that it took quite some time to actually start a video up (this is with 3-4 bars of Verizon 4G LTE) and when it finally did start it would only play for about 2 seconds and then start buffering again...this happened continuously for a couple minutes until I got frustrated with the buffering (pausing the video and trying to let it buffer didn't work either) and decided to close the App.
I have had the phone for about a week now and for some reason if I open Chrome on my phone and go to the YouTube website, videos stream without issue, but I'm still having problems with the YouTube App. Is anyone else experiencing this as well? I asked a rep at the Verizon store and was told that so far I'm the only one at that store.
YouTube
Same here, having the opposite problem of most everyone else, streams fine on Wi-Fi massive buffering on LTE.

A lot of people have had problems with recent updates to the youtube app. Many confirmed that changing their dns to a different dns server fixed the problem. However if the problem is on LTE I do not know if this is possible. Just trying help hunt down the source of the problem.
Sorry, I meant that the YouTube app itself doesn't work with LTE. but when I use my internet app and go to YouTube.com with LTE videos play just fine.

YouTube App
Yeah, its an off problem. Streaming via the app over wi-fi works fine for me, when I'm on LTE there I'm seeing an inordinate amount of buffering.
I assume its the app, I haven't tried streaming via the web but that seems like it should be an unnecessary work-around.

Its rather unfortunate as it is a great phone but some minor flaws are putting quite a damper on being able to fully enjoy it. My battery life is horrible too...apparently the amazing screen is too much for the battery, which drains while just sitting in my pocket. Hardly using my phone throughout the day I end up having to put my phone on the charger as soon as I get home. Meanwhile a friend of mine has the G2 and is able to brag about his battery life.

After a bit of adjusting I managed to get home after a 8 hour shift and light phone use with 51% battery left.
Things that have worked bes for me on two different phones:
Turn off WiFi if you are walking around a lot.
Turn off location reporting by network discovery! Leave it at GPS if you need location info. I have been testing this for over 6 months on a galaxy note 3 and I find very little battery use this way.
Disable all the Amazon crapware. You can keep on the Kindle app if you need to view off files.
Obviously watch screen brightness. I have mine on manual.
Turn off the shortcut keys on the volume if you keep it in your pocket. Several times mine turned on by accidently and I got a buch of great burst shots of my pocket!
Hope these help..
install an older version of YouTube ~5.5-5.7
I know on this phone and others as soon as YouTube updated to 5.7+ it started to buffer all the time... likely an issue because it detects verizon... however, switching back to an older version allows me to fully play videos on 4G LTE with no issue. So I'm running 5.5 and it's running flawlessly... and while there could be newer features, it is just fine for me.
Edit: this method worked on my galaxy nexus which just retired ... changing versions I the g3 hasn't made a ****s-worth of a difference. Still buffering every 4-5 seconds.

How to cure smartphone addiction?

Hey, i have a big addiction problem with screens, usually i use buttoned phone rather than smartphone.
But sometimes there is a need for messenger to chat with people to meet them and calendar might come in handy.
So far i haven't found an app that could efficiently block screen time for some apps. They all have some bugs or workarounds.
I was thinking about rooting phone and deleting apps that make me addicted the most like browser, youtube, app store..
Would that work? Or maybe you have some good recommendations regards to some app or other method?
Would love to have smartphone in my pocket for only important things ,but i know eventually it will get out of hands.
That's the reason i don't have tv or have restricted pc usage
Its ****ing weird but its real..

Could you try turning it off, for eg an hour a day?
Maybe start turning it off for 10 minutes and increase it as tolerated?
Do something distracting during this time, eg go for a walk?
Bit like stopping smoking, I guess.

Have tried this. Eventually I will get hooked again.
For smoking, only thing that worked was just stop and never touch it again.
Works with smartphone also, but the thing that wants me using it is fb chat with newly met people.
I see alot of people who have problem with phones, but they seem to not give damn.
For me I see big drop in quality of life so I need to find a workaround.
This is something yo u will have to learn to deal with. Smartphones are gonna be almost as widely used in our lives as laptops are. You will just have to curb your usage. Like after I get off work. My phone goes on a charger and I never touch it again until the next morning, unless it rings of course.
