MoPho RSD Protocol Error - Attempting to unlock bootloader - Motorola Photon 4G

Unfortunately, I have spent countless hours trying to completely get my phone unlocked and rooted. I have been going through these guides, and the number one guide to rooting photon has invalid links. When I am attempting to unlock bootloader, or use anything else using RSD Lite, my phone itself gets an error:
Code:
SVF: 106:1:2
sec_exception: b655, eddc, eb
If anyone has a resolution, help a brotha out!

Looks like the error you get when updated to 2.3.5 with the locked bootloader

If you are on an official 2.3.5 there is no unlock.
Which guide did you use? All my links are live last time I checked.

Out of curiosity is anyone even looking into re unlocking the bootloader or has that ship sailed.
I really wish I had never accepted that ota update now....

No ship has sailed just yet but these things take time if they can be done at all.

I used [PUDDING] Photon/Electrify Pudding bootloader unlock by the2dcour. But I'll definitely keep you in mind with any new changes I make to my device. It was a pain trying to manually find each of those links.
On another note, after rooting my phone my notification bar is kind of screwed up and often makes all notifications unreadable, any fix for this?

I used photon torpedo to root and it worked fine.
root checker, ad blocker, super user, titanium backup, solid explorer
and all the rest of the apps requiring root are working with no errors.
Someone mentioned here on XDA not use the old tethering app so I am using (Foxfi dot com / bin) since Sprint has it locked out on the Play Store.
Everything is working great on the latest OTA even with the locked bootloader. I have never had any issue tethering my laptop which I do a few hours each week for several gb of data transfer.

I'm still using mine and works perfectly I wouldn't suggest it if I wasn't sure it works my friend used it on his bionic so I tried it on my atrix running gingerbread 2.3.4 and it works
I use SuperOneClick root, but this program only root your phone, not unlock the bootloader. It's fast and easy, only a single click and you are done.
if ur on at&t !!
the best way to unlock is to use the automatic bootloader unlocker !!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ight=automatic
for how to do it, here's a youtube video describing the same !!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6a0BWquqAc
also do some research before doing it !!
and be sure, never flash sbf files or use rsd lite after unlocking the bootloader !!!
i unlocked my bootloader using the automatic unlocker (but i was on 2.3.4[4.5.91]) !!!

Root for Internation Razr

Hi All,
I just got my Motorola razr XT910 in the UK and tried rooting it. The root methods for XT912 Droid Razr do not work.
Does anyoe know if there is a root method for the EU version?
I received my XT910 (Rogers Canadian Version) on Monday (had to activate and purchase to get the Sales Rep to Give me one) and while waiting to receive my Sim Unlock Code, used the quick rooting method that came out same day or so, and worked as advertised.
I followed the how to, and it was really point and click... done!

HUGE PROBLEM!!! MDR GSM stuck in fastboot.

So while I was rooting my MDR, I decided to load a new ROM (Artic) but the rom failed and crash. So I tried to flash back to a stock rom.....no dice. At this point in the game, I have no recovery, im stuck on fastboot with "Flash failure" at the top, RSD doesn't see it, and I've tried every fastboot flasher under the sun. I need major help!!!! I can't get anything to work.
UPDATE
Now it won't turn off for me to charge it, no matter what I do.
I am having the same problem too!!
I am waiting for a guy on another forum to send me a GSM restore package to see if that helps, but i feel very doubtful... I think we may need a new phone... (
Fingers crossed we get our phones working!!

[Q] How to unlock bootloader on excatly this phone?

Hello guys,
I tried to unlock my bootloader a few weeks ago and it was horrible, so i sent it to service and they sent me a brand new phone. But i want to unlock bootloader and i don't know what files use excatly on this model. Can you help me?

Android stock 2.3.4
build num.: 4.5.2A-74_OLE-31.20

unlocked bootloader: no
What exactly is so confusing here?
Clearly you need to use the ihop version. The rest of the process is the same for every Atrix out there.

Guide
IHOP bootloader
Unlocking the bootloader doesn't always work (depends on the device and some other things), but I can't imagine a situation where a failed unlock would require taking the phone to the service center...
Ok, i'll try it tomorrow thanks....but when it fails ? ...last time it said me "failed to boot 2" ...
Did you actually read the whole procedure? Because it doesn't seem like you did.
Yes, I did....then i tried to search far on the google and i found that i am not alone with thi problem. Many people is saying, that is unable to unlock this bootloader...:/
http://mobility.forumsee.com/a/m/s/p12-9847-0229151--atrix-bootloader-unable-unlock.html
"Failed to boot" is a perfectly normal and expected part of the unlock process and everyone gets it. All you have to do is boot into fastboot mode and flash a custom recovery, then use that to flash a ROM. I don't know why you went to Google, literally all you need is here on XDA.
I used this guide to unlock 4 Atrix boot-loader so far including my own http://atrix4ghacks.com/atrix-4g-hacks/how-to-unlock-bootloader-and-install-permanent-recovery/
Ok, I will try it now ....
EDIT: it still gives me that OEM unlock is not implemented...
Either you didn't flash the IHOP SBF correctly, or you have one of those newer Atrixes that cannot be unlocked.

The only thing you can do is join the crowd of people who have the same problem which has yet to be solved. There is nothing you can do right now to unlock your device.
I know that pain.. I am an Atrix owner too, who owns a newer one..
I don't think that we will see them unlocked, because a lot of devs already moved on and there are now just a few Atrix owners..
