Idk if it was the radio update or what, but recently, my WiFi connection had been reallyyyyy slow or just not connecting at all, and I've tried on a couple networks, so its not just mine, does anyone know why this is happening?

Have you checked your wifi settings to make sure that you have 2.4 checked instead of auto?. Also is your wifi set to never time out.? Also when was the last time you upgraded your routers firmware ?

Hi people since a while im facing an issue on alot of roms and its wifi it used to work fine but i dont know what happened im sure its my.phone because i can conmect my pc whit no problem so here it goes it first comnects and randomly disconnect? Or sometimes the wifi icon is there but internet dont work and when i go settings>wireless networks it shows "disconnected" then says "connecting" but i have to manually connect it any clue why? Basicly my wifi connection drops for no obvious reason

Hello everyone!
Just like everyone else I have been waiting infront of the screen for 3 days now to get this god forsaken update and when I finally get it everything works fine exceopt for the WiFi.
on 2.1 I used to get an Internet connection when on my WiFI, Now im connected to the router with full connection strength but I have absolutely NO internet connection, only an evil triangle telling me that I have limited network access.
This has happened to 3 of my phones (All of which are Identical)
And the only even closest similar issue here on XDA has been with the HTCD which dropped the WiFi connection if the signal was too weak, but mine is at full strength.
In short: My phone can do Everything but going on the internet...
What I have tried:
Putting the phone in DMZ
Disabling Firewall in the router
manually enter Static IP settings
anyone else experiencing the same issues and/or know how to silve it?

Hi i get this too but ojly since the update, i have it working now but its still a problem it sorts itself out if i leave it on for a bit?

I have the another problem around since 2.3.3.
Wifi works fine,
But when not near a Wifi spot cannot access internet /send mms recieve mms , or download internet&mms settings. And this is the only similar problem i found <.<
But on your problem ofcourse might seem silly but im guessing your already tried rebooting/resetting the router? ^.
I beleive you have to be coolnnected to wifi to get settings for internet and mms.
And yes i have tried rebooting the modem but it didnt work so i just connect to the btopenzone signal my modem also gives off

This might be a common problem as mine does this too. Mainly when I am trying to connect to corporate enterprise WiFi.
go to settings, wireless & networks, wi-fi settings and select the network you are trying to connect to, you should be prompted for your security code. This is not the wifi security code, it is the one set under settings, security. I have no issues with connecting to my home network, but at work I have to go through the above process.
I have same issue but mine won't connect at all it was working fine and then just stopped when I go under WiFi settings n Advanced settings it says ip address unkown. I didn't recieve the update yet and am not rooted. You think update will fix this or is my device shot and need to be exchanged

Is this just a common issue with the phone? I use wifi all the time when home and might be a reason to return it.

Mine did this until I updated the software. Go to settings about phone HTC updates check now.
If u are like me and haven't gotten the update yet I downloaded a app called wifistatic from market manually put WiFi settings in and forced connect and BOOM no issues works better then ever

Anyone with the Amaze 4G for T-Mobile USA notice that it often doesn't connect to remembered WiFi networks even though they are in range and it will only connect if you go to view WiFi settings/networks under settings then it connects?
Also, anyone have any issues connecting to WiFi networks where the SSID is not being broadcast? I can get it to connect initially but it will never reconnect to a hidden SSID network that it "remembers"?
Using stock gingerbread ROM.
I notice this happens every now and then... I will have to open my WiFi networks, then before I can click on the network, it refreshes. It happens only rarely for me, but I have noticed it at times

It was OK for a while then noticed the next day or so it wasn't connected. I tried manually selecting the SSID but it would not connect. I tried forgetting the SSID and re-entering the password but it wouldn't connect. A reboot finally cured the problem and it was fine for another day. I haven't worked out the patern yet I'm guessing once I leave the WiFi signal area it never regains connection?

I do not have problems with wifi only once in a while i see in the bottom of my screen that it is contected with my wifi and it didnt disconect.

With the latest update my wifi won't even switch on.
People suggested that I should flash stock firmware, which I haven't tried yet.
I will let you know if it solved my problem once I do flash the stock firmware.
I have the wifi problem today when i update my mega, just do a factory reset and then update your mega again.
