My wife just bought a SGS2 i need to test the ability of its display playing 1080p HD video, where can i find a small nice sample?? (nature, action scene, ...)
any demo file on samsung website?

but youtube are flv files, shouldn't the file be mkv so that it is a real hd quality?

Hey guys
Today I tested a HD trailer on my Titan and although it looked excellent on such display,I think it wasn't as smooth as iPhone 4.I maybe to sensitive but I think it was kinda less smoother.
So I decided to record a video with the phone and it's playback was very smooth(same as iPhone).
So,shouldn't the videos I synced from the PC play smoothly too ?
Just curious, what was the framerate of the HD video? Also, what was the codec and bitrate if you happen to know.

OK,so tested the trailer side by side with the iPhone 4 and it ran pretty much the same.(iPhone being a tiny bit faster).
On a side note,Titan "destroyed" iPhone 4 in terms of video playback lol first because of the large screen and second because the colors look way better on the Titan !
does the titan play .mkv files. i'm planning to get one after the holidays, but i don't know if wp7 can play .mkv!! i know that can play h.246 codecs. most of the video files i have are .mkv and not .avi. can anyone test it, please??

No,it only supports MP4 visds,so you have to convert them
if someone has the s3 already or is getting it tomorrow ( mine coming on Wednesday ) can you download or put a 1080p .mkv movie (7-12GB) on your phone or sd card and play it using stock player and dice player. can you see if it will play smoothly? any lags, audio issues.
i would love to see that test aswell,+ if it would be possible over MHL to TV.to see how much frames sg3 is doing while streaming 1080p to TV

can sg3 play high profile 1080p h264 videos @ 40 mbs like tegra 3 does?sg2 does not....

thanks man. remember it has to be a 1080p .mkv file. cant wait. as im getting my white one tomorrow. play with stock video player and dice player.
also can you install sopcast on the device and run a HD stream for me to see if the video is not laggy and is in sync with the audio and the video is not slow.
i have a galaxy tab 10.1 wifi and when i play a HD stream the video is slow and is out of sync with the audio.

1080p file playing very smoothly with some ever so slight stutters(not irritating by any means) here and there, which I guess could be due to my awfully slow external sd-card). Didn't get any sound due to it containing only the trueHD soundtrack, so I'll try another file on the internal SD-card soon! Still 20% on the download to go. I also had a lot of apps open in the background which could affect the smoothness of the video(stock video player). Gonna try dice player now!

Hello guuys i wanted to know the settings that you guys use for HD video full screen for htc radar..... NOTE : i downloaded HD videos converted them into mp4 1080p and it worked awesome in radar but a normal 4 minute song was 250mb video file so wanted to ask if anyone knows any settings HD video less than 100mb?

(I don't like this kind of music, I think that video could be even unlegit)
but as you can see, you should use that bitrate when encoding your videos, firstly download that one and try it...
Hi Mega owners, has any of you played MKV movies on your Mega 6.3? I am interested in watching 720p MKV movie rips on this phone. Most of my movie rips come with AC3 or DTS audio FYI. How does the Mega perform in this category? Thanks.

I use Archos video player and it works great as it plays DTS audio and can download information, subtitles, cover art, and more from the web unlike other players. I also have MHL video cable so I use the Mega as a media player connected to our 50 inch telly.

No, I haven't found a file that won't play smoothly. The audio and subtitles selection works great as well with the Archos player.
