Little dent on the back? - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I noticed on the back of my EVO there's a little dimple on the bottom left corner... Anybody else have that little dimple?

I do. Always thought it was from a time when I dropped it or banged it against somethin. Weirddd

One of my buddies said it's part of the manufacturers design... But why would that be there lol? I thought mine was dinged coming out of the box

Ha! Never noticed it... I'm on my 2nd EVO LTE, so I guess it was on the first too...

Yep, I have one as well. Never noticed it under my Diztronics case, but it's clearly a manufacturing thing as it's perfectly circular.

Creaky

Hey, just wondering if anyone else's MoPho kind of "creaks," esp. the battery cover, or if its just mine. Thanks.

Yeah especially on the bottom right side.

Mine does bottom center but everywhere else is tight. Only "issue" I've had.
Thanks, just wanted to make sure mine wasnt the only one.

Mine creaked so I complained to Moto customer service and they sent me a brand new back door free. Installed it and the creak is gone. Its an easy fix!

Yep same here... and did same as above. Got on Motorola support site, spent 5 minutes on their chat support, few days later had a free back cover. Squeak is gone now. Looks identical. Not sure what's different but it works! No reason not to try it.
This ^ is why I love XDA.

No creak here....but now I know what to do if it starts lol!

Ghost armor. Or did that company die? I remember them being the ****, haven't heard anyone talking about them in a while lol

Lol interested thread, op. A case will prevent damage, definitely. Also, ghost armor is still really great. My other half has it on his sgs2.

Problems with NFC chip

Sent from my EVO using xda premium
I haven't tried using it yet.
ive tried today and it didnt work does anyone know the reason why it wouldnt?
Mine didn't work the first time but does now. Mine was EVO to EVO though.

The chips aren't aligned in the two phones. You have to put the nexus butt near the evo head.
After doing that it worked for me.

What does everyone call their new Evo 4g LTE?

I called my original Evo 4g just "Evo". Then the 3d came along and there was this poll about the name. 3vo, I think, was the most popular. But what about this Evo. Just call it Jewel I guess. Any suggestions?

Or we could take it from Charles Barkley and call it the Evo "lite". Lol

Just EVO lol, everything else feels clunky

my "new evo", I can't call it LTE since that feature isn't available for me and 99% of sprint suscribers right now
Anyone that called the EVO 3D the "3vo" does not deserve to have input into what to call the new EVO LTE.
I like the idea of just calling it the "New EVO." We can piss off everyone with a "New iPad."
LTEVO of course... But I cant call mine anything because its never ever going to come in the mail!
Bad ass

Hopefully the New Orleans region rolls out early in the second stage.

You did ask what doors? Eventually my phone will become laggy when it starts depending heavily on drugs and alcohol.

[Q] Swapping Battery

Since the new HTC One X+ has a larger battery would it be possible to crack the 4G LTE open and replace it with the One X+ battery?
Oh sure. Why not? The evo has an aluminum back that will probably bend right around the larger battery.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
Technically, as long as the specs are the same it should work. But getting it to fit would be a different story. Not to mention the EVO LTE likes to turn off and never come back on with the stock battery. I wouldn't do it, but u can be the guinea pig.
When I say as long as the specs are the same I mean I haven't checked. That entails the connection, voltage drop, and physical size allowing it to fit.
