Bought the same pack from a different seller a couple months ago. I think I paid about $10. Regardless price can't be beat.
Pros:
Pretty good life, roughly 75% of OEM.
Cons:
Charger has since crapped out, one of the pins broke off inside.
Batteries wouldn't charge in phone, gave message "battery disconnected" on screen
One of batteries died on, wouldn't charge.
Overall a good deal so long as your charger doesn't crap out like mine did. I've had this same charger come with almost every cheap battery pack ive bought for different phones. It's the exact some one except the size of the battery slot changes for each battery. This is the first one i've had crap out so i'd say its a fluke.

I have this charger and Anker batteries. No problems so far. http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Upgrade-2700mAh-SGH-I717-GT-N7000/dp/B006BHQWX0/ref=pd_sim_cps_1

I've had so many chargers like these, you need to make sure you slide the battery in gently so that the pins for charging won't break, it's a pain but it will make it last forever

How much did you pay for yours, $30?

I have this one as well.
I have the same pack and I purchase from the same listing at Amazon. It allows me the added assurance of battery power.
CONS:
The batteries wear down faster than the OEM battery that comes with the phone
Something else to carry so you need to have them in your pocket or a traveling container of some sort to carry them with you.
PROS:
Fast swap with a fresh full charged battery.
I love the charger has an USB port where you can plug your micro usb cable in and change the battery in the phone at the same time that you charge one in the dock.
It was worth the buy for me. I'm always looking for more ways to accent my device experience.

Portable USB charger

what do you think about portable USB charger?
does Sony CPA2LS charge XS twice?
There are smaller ones, I've seen a nice tubular one, but I don't remember where
I have the Sanyo USB eneloop stick booster. I leave it in my car or backpack and since I can keep rechargeable batter with me or find AA really easily.. its convenient

I have CP-ELS and it can charge abit more than once (about 1.15 ~ 1.2) . So I think CPA2LS would charge XS twice. The charger charged the ph pretty fast in stand by mode but it slow while in using the ph. The recharging time is long cos my one only come with 1 usb cable to charge from computer.
I just bought a NewTrent one from Amazon that is 5000mAh which should, in theory, charge the XS about 2.5x
I'm going camping in a couple of weeks so I'll have a chance to really try it then. Was pretty cheap though - £22
I've had my zagg sparq Iver a year now. Had an apple battery pack which got wet unfortunately, did the job but wasn't impressed with it. Since I've had my zagg ive managed 4 full charges from it.
Not the cheapest but it do believe in you get what you pay for

good thing it has two slots so you can charge two devices simultaneously...
do you know any portable charger with 1A or 1,5A output?

GS2 wont charge due to liquid damage.... what to do.

Hey.
My girlfriends little brother spilt liquid all over her phone. Now it works but it will not charge, i gave her my battery and if worked fine but refuses to charge. Due to working different hours i cannot use my phone to charge her battery.
Sent it back and they knew it was from liquid damage so they gave it straight back.
What can i do? Buy a new board of ebay or something?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
you might get away with just replacing the USB board, which is a really quick easy change...
you could also go on ebay and get the Anker battery and charger set which includes two 1900mah batteries (same dimensions as the stock 1600mah)
1 charger for the battery
It costs about $20 and means you can charge 1 battery, use the other...
Oh awesome might look into that battery thing.
And i thought of the usb board replacement to but where can i get one?

such a cheap fix, it's worth trying that before replacing the whole main board which is $$ whereas the battery idea is quick, and the batteries are just flat out handy... especially because you can charge them outside of the phone... i believe you can use the charger on your Nexus too... it's a cool adaptable charger. so for less than $30 you can get the batteries, charger and the usb board shipped to you... which i think is a way better idea than trying to get a main board.
PS... thanks button haha

Galaxy S3 Charging Very Slow

In about two hours of charging I went from 8% to 41%. Is anyone else experienceing this issue? I'm using all the cords and plugs given to me for the wall.
I don't have the SGS3 (yet), but my guess is that the battery is so large it takes longer to charge. Keep in mind that it's a 2100MaH battery. Depending on the power that the charger puts out, it could take longer to charge this battery than another phone.
Mine charges fairly quick with stock items.

Mine went from 2% to Full 100% in a little over 2 hours on the stock Samsung charger.. I'm going to cycle mine 3 or 4 times being that it's new obviously.

So would you agree something is wrong with my phone?
I agree, the first few cycles might not be too accurate. If you want a faster charger get the HP Touchpad charger, it has 2 amps where as the Samsung one is .75 amps of charging. only $5 on hp website. that's what I use.

Monoprice sells a 2.1 amp 4 usb wall charger as well but it is not as cheap nor do they have free shipping *although atleast in CA I can get a flat rate of 25lbs and under for ~$5 shipping.*
I'm surprised no one has posted the correct answer to this yet. The wall charger Samsung has decided to include with the S3 NA is complete and utter crap. I believe it is .15amp draw. You need to immediately throw it in the trash and buy a new one. It is not a problem with your phone.

My Samsung Charger that came with the phone is 1Amp...charges the device fine. I don't think the 2Amps will make a difference if the charging chip doesn't support it (not saying it doesn't but the SGSII would only charge at 650maH no matter what charger you put it on)
Mine's charging insanely fast with the stock cable. Not sure if it's a good thing because battery life isn't all that amazing on my phone so far.

doesn't that mean each USB port is 0.5 amps?
Anyways if I'm not wrong the amps has to do with what it can supply. Whether the device tries to draw that much power is up to the device.
The stock charger is 5V 1amp.
Even if you use a 2 amp charger it will likely only draw one amp.
Even if it does draw 2 amps that would mean you are increasing the heat associated with more current. Heat is the worst thing for battery life. Its always better to do slow charge unless you're in a hurry. Your battery will last a lot longer that way. Having said that, I think 1 amp is a good compromise for speed and heat.
p.s. computers output 0.5amps per USB slot by default specifications.

Charging issue

Okay, this is a weird one. When charging my phone, almost every single time, it will charge up to about 76-83%, and then stop. However, if I unplug it and then plug it back in it will resume charging like normal up to 100%. I mean this is bizarre...is it a battery calibration issue, perhaps?
Edit: Happens on any/every ROM I use.

You mean the usb box from ur galaxy s2.... If so each box may have a different output for each phone..... For instance when i use my daughters charger it takes 5 times longer to charge my og than the og charger so that may be ur problem.
Via LG OG running Rootbox 4.2.2
Had the same thing too and as described in the post above it is in fact due to the output. Just compared my old but still kicking s2 and my og charger and the og charger has a much greater output.
Yeah lgog charger is 5v 1.2a. It's very nice. We also gotta qualcomm technology called quick charge or something like that that enables the battery to charge substantially faster without damaging itself. It's a logic chip in the phone and improved battery chemistry from LG. Asian manufacturers have a huge portfolio of products and are weirdly driven to diversify in all directions. LG has their own chemical company, and that's who makes our pimp batteries. I stuck with HTC for 7 years, but if LG flagship phones continue to have decent development then I'll probably stick with LG for a while. It's cool that they manufactured the entire phone from scratch except the SoC, no other company can really say that besides Samsung. And they're both Korean companies. Btw, south Korea is a great place to vacation.

It looks as though I need to pay attention a bit more. I was using the LG wall charger, however, I wasn't using the right cable. I was using my Samsung cable. The Samsung cable is longer and reaches to where I can charge and play with the phone at night. I'll try the cable it actually came with and see if it continues to pull the same trick. The LG cable is definitely thicker.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
I totally agree with you on the length of the cable and is why I was also using the s2 charger as well. If you need the extra length you can probably get by using an s3 charger. I steal my girlfriend's s3 charger from time to time just because I want a little more mobility than two feet and it charges the phone just fine with very similar output ratings....... 1.0 amps compared to 1.2 amps of the og charger.
I've had something similar happen recently. The phone will either charge extremely fast or extremely slow. I usually charge my phone at about 30% and sometimes it will charge fully in about 90 minutes and others it will take up to 8 hours, with the slowest part being in that 73-87% range you describe. I always use the LG charger and cable because its the only one that I have. I'm running code fire's CFX ROM if that helps anyone out.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
That's some weird stuff. I'm getting good performance right now using the stock cable with a belkin 1A cigarette lighter to USB adapter. But last week I grabbed a cheapo Chinese retractable cable that was in my wife's car and plugged it into the built in USB port in the car (don't know what it's rated output is) and the battery drained VERY fast... Roughly one percent every minute or 2. Freaked me out... Certainly appears to me this phone is temperamental about cables...

yeah had the same probably with a car charger with my og and to think about it my s2 as well, I travel a lot for my job and constantly use gps while traveling and I've found that a lot of those cheapo car chargers you pick up from gas stations may charge the phones while inactive don't really charge them very well while in use. I could watch my battery percent fall while charger on both my s2 and og while using navigation, ended up finding a high output charger at a truck stop with a cord the size of a cb radio lol and havent haven't had any issue with it since. This is with stock and custom rom, even reverted back to stock a couple times to make sure that it wasn't the custom firmware that was causing the issue. Guess the makers of cheap chargers haven't caught up with the big batteries todays smart phones pack, should of hold on to my bag phone charger a little longer lol!!

Agreed. In my case the phone was discharging rapidly while not in use. Screen off. I'm thinking the plug on that cheap cable was shorting a couple pins on the plug..

That's on thing i do miss about having a removable battery though, is the fact that a large part of my job is in very dusty dirty environments ....i.e. steel, aluminum mills and other high temp dusty and dirty as hell places is that i could remove my battery and feel safe while using a little contact cleaner. Now og days i play it safe with air. But either way i don't think that has anything to do with the use of cheap chargers lol. Best bet would be to stick with oem or pay the extra price tag for those high out put chargers that att offer.

Did you find yourself ignoring the Spare Battery Charger

Did anyone purchase a spare battery charger and find themselves still plugging their phone in most of the time, forgetting their charger at home, not wanting to take off case and rebooting phone every time, etc? And find themselves only using it for emergency purposes?
