TW sounds on CM9 - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

So my wife hates TW and wants CM9 when it is more stable but really likes the nature sounds. I know should be easy to just copy them from TW onto the phone after flashing any rom. My question is how hard would it be to create a flashable zip with them? Also what about the fonts that they have?

You can also create a folder on your SD card
It would be like this
/sdcard/media/audio/ringtone(s)
I can't remember if there is an s or not
And just put the ringtones in there
Also no root needed and it carries onto any rom

[Request] MIUI SMS APK

Hello,
Could anyone here pull from me the MIUI SMS application from MIUI ROM in order to install it on ICS?? i really like so much the app!
I tried to use GO SMS with a theme but it isn't the same thing like in MIUI
Help! and thnx so much
I am 99% positive it won't work, but if you feel like trying just download a MIUIv4 rom (doesn't matter for which phone) and use a file manager to extract it. Its located in system/app

[Request] S3 Weather Widget for Galaxy Note

Hello All,
I've been looking for a way to install the S3 weather Widget onto my Note I717. I'm currently using UCLF6 (official ICS) rooted, but I cant find anything. A CWM zip would be awesome. I tried extracting the apk file from a custom rom and pasting it into my /App folder but it would crash when I tried pasting the file. Any help or info would be awesome!
Thanks in Advance!

Try this, it applies most of the GS3 stuff to the Note.
Ahhh poo.... PhMod doesn't work on the official rom.
I want one too. Thanks
Thanks for the replys, I would really like to stay on the stock Rom (Not use Goldie) but I would like to use the S3 Widget. I did find a post that flashed the S3 touchwiz but it wasn't for the Note I believe it was for the SGS2. Not sure if it would work, I guess I could Nandroid backup and reflash it and see if it works.....when I attempt it i'll let you all know. If I could extract the S3 touchwiz and widgets from a custom rom like "objection" or "Goldie" I would..but I just dont know how. As I said before I extracted the Weather/Clock Widget from the custom objection rom and placed it in the /system/app folder and rebooted but it didn't show up in the Widget selection....if theres a step i'm missing i'd gladly listen to suggestions. Maybe adding a file to the /lib folder or something? I'm willing to try anything. Thanks again for your responses.
I took Asus weather widget realized from the hybrid rom and use it on pretty much every other rom. The way I did it is download zip and extract it. Go to /system/app/ and look for the widget apk. Copy and paste it to /system/app/ and set permission to rw-r--r-- and check the drawer for the widget. I don't know if that helps or not.

I apologize if this has been answered. I've searched in the i717 forums but can't seem to find a straight answer. I'm using flappjaxx's latest with the touchwiz ux launcher (flashed through the OTA tool). I'd like the accuweather widget as well from the S3. Is this available to us? If so, can someone give me a link to one that works? thanks!

S-Apps for AT&T Galaxy Note

Hey guys. I am using the Padawan ROM and it does not come with S Memo and S Note. I want to learn how to install these apps on custom ROM's that do not include the S-Apps. I tried flashing someone's ZIP and changing the permissions using Root Explorer and it didn't work. I also tried adding the apk's to the system app folder manually and changing the permissions. This was also a no go. Has anyone been able to successfully do this on custom ROM's that do not have the S-apps? If so, can you guys shoot me a bit of help?
If you were unable to successfully install the apks manually, I would recommend that you could:
A) restore your backup of your stock ROM (I'm assuming that you would be clever enough to create a CWM or TWRP backup before flashing a custom ROM),
B) use Titanium Backup to backup the S-Apps (really you should backup all your apps just to be safe),
C) flash the custom ROM of your choice and restore your apps using Titanium Backup. However please note that you can only restore the S-Apps to Touchwiz based ROMs.
I hope this is helpful for you!

I've seen many developers write that the s-pen apps require TouchWiz framework ( i.e., s-pen will not work on any CM or other non-TW based ROMs).
Here's hoping someone find a work around.
Da g has successfully ported hovering point in a couple of his custom ROMs that are mixed of different bases loaded
I'm also very interested in seeing the touchwiz/pen based features (snote, smemo and related features) in JB. I'm running the paranoidandroid hybrid cm10 ROM (love it so far!) and these capabilities would really round it out for me.
S-apps are TW dependent, and require the Touchwiz framework to function....
We may see JB TW based roms in the future that contain these APK's, but until an official JB update is sent to the note 1...(if ever) we are forced to use a TW rom (UCLF6)....or a play store variant of the S-apps,....g
Papyrus
I installed Papyrus to get some of that capability back. I read about it somewhere here. It has just been ported to GNote in the last little while I believe. projectpapyrus dot com

The Padawan ROM is ICS based but the author pulled out those apps (along with many other apps). But he saved off all the extracted apps which can be found on a link he provided in the OP (the server has been down lately though).
So go to that link, download the 2 apps u want then reboot into recovery and install the zips. That's it.

ROM question

Ok I'm not a flashing noob. That being said I'm looking for a sense ROM that is really stable for a guy I work with that is not a tech guy at all. Also I haven't ever messed with any of these app2 to see apps which one is best as I see the the phone memory is really low. Not much activity on the development and most roms have no activity any more.

S2E has worked great for me. It's very easy to install and, once you set it up, it automatically moves all apps and cache files to the sd card. But it only works with CM roms. If you want a very stable CM rom use CM7. Its a GB version that works flawlessly.
If I recall correctly, the best Sense rom is "Liberated," which is a Froyo rom. I think it has an apps to sd function built in.

If you want to hold on to Sense UI, sorry the information I provide may not be of any help. But as much as I know, S2E is the best way to ensure that your phone will never run out of memory.
Flash the newest stable CM7.2 found here:-
CyanogenMod 7.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1430267
or you can navigate over to CyanogenMod's website > Supported Devices > HTC Aria > Downloads
S2E can be found in the market. But I guess you could find a guide on how to partition your SD card in order for Apps to be installed there. It's easy and simple. All can be done with Recovery.
If you're unsatisfied with the speed of your Aria after CM7.2, flash Drowning Kernel with Recovery from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970543
Thanks guys the guy I'm fixing this for I probably could have left it stock but I had to change his apn so I thought while doing so I would put the best on I could for him. I might go ahead and put the cm7 on for him. I'm currently using jellytime which is cm10 and love it. For him I was trying to stay close to stock.

Stock Samsung Notification Sounds

Hey guys, yesterday I've wanted to set the sensewiz theme, but don't wanted it anymore and broke installation up in wiping notification sounds progress (the first one). Now I've only have 3 sounds left, can anyone please upload them and show me how to set them back?
Thank you!

It's over 25MB zipped....
Suggest you download a CWM version of the ROM you have, or any similar ROM (Wanam's ROMs are a good start) and simply extract the /system/media contents and copy then fix permissions.
