exe. Files - TouchPad General

Decided to doctor TP prior to CM9 I am a noob at this and did a lot of reading prior.
Tried to download the doctor from my account and when verifying said Java version not available, error, follow link to Java site, confirms I have latest Java 7
Download doctor anyway run it to get Palm inc file look in Programs etc file is there but missing Novacom.exe file.
Run webos quick install click reinstall Novacom install "Driver error".
Also I have downloaded the doctor via "webos doctor versions" each time no Novacom.exe file. everything else is there but no exe file!
Tried to download universainstallerintstaller initializingntialising like many other users are finding.
So finally me question, how can I install CM(9 on Touchpad without Novacom exe file in Palm inc file?
Asearchingrs of seaching downloading etc I can not progress any further, any help appreciated.

Okay, a couple of things.
Firstly, when you install Java, sometimes it doesn't put itself into your path, so that'll explain sometimes why it couldn't find your Java.
Secondly, make sure you're running your Command Prompt as an administrator, and not just a user (or temporarily disable UAC and reboot).
To get the WebOS QuickInstall to work, open a command prompt (as Administrator), then type PATH. If, in that long list of gabledness, you see something that looks like "C:\Program Files\java\jre7\bin" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\java\jre7\bin" (or something that says java, a jre / jdk, and bin), you have it in your path. If you don't, then you need to find it. Type "C:\Program Files\java\" and then hit tab. Once you have the option that includes jre (I don't know the exact path, since I install it manually to a different directory), type \bin after that. Hit the HOME button, type PATH=%PATH%; (all caps, use the %'s and the semi-colon at the end) and then have the "C: bit start right after the ;. That should give you the ability to use Java from the command prompt.
Next, remember where you put the WebOS QuickInstall .jar file, and go to it (cd \users\YOURUSERNAME\Downloads usually on Win7, or C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\My Documents\Downloads on WinXP), then type java (the webos quickinstall jarfile). That should open it up, and allow you to install the Novacom drivers.
From there, you can then install CM9 by following the instructions listed everywhere. Hope that helps.

a word of advice. SWITCH TO LINUX. so much easier. also are you using 32bit or 64 bit windows? make sure youre also using internet explorer Other browsers do not show the 64-bit Jave Runtime Environment installer.

Many thanks for your reply I have tried to follow your instructions but unfortunately they are beyond my skill set.
I have located all paths for Java & Webos Quick install but using the cmd promptcompletelyy stumps me even after reading it x5, when using cmd paths did not show up, (I managed to follow by properties etc)
Is there any way I can just acquire said Novacom exe. file?
Thanks again for your help.

You can download from here
http://code.google.com/p/universal-novacom-installer/downloads/list
Regards

here. right click on this in windows after you have downloaded it and choose to open with whatever java runtime you have. it will automatically detect your OS and popup a download button so you can automatically install just the novacom.

Thanks, haxin & ssstar, I have tried universal installer on both links, when downloading "installing driver, stays stuck on initializing" this is a problem for a few people, and as yet unresolved.
Thanks again for you time.

Don't think that should make a difference as I have installed it on my 32 bit and my daughters 64 bit laptops. As you have already said make sure UAC is disabled and right click on the Java app to install as administrator.
Good luck.

When u run the universal installer , on the window where it asks to "download" "select file" or "cancel" , choose select file and browse to the webos doctor u have.
Select the webos doctor file, the drivers will be installed from it.
Then just find the palm inc. folder. Should be in program files.
Oh and if ur computer is set to hide file extensions it wont say EXE after it.

Need help with a GSB theme

I know what I want but haven't yet figured out how to make it work. I read that you can simply open an existing theme, with 7zip for example, and replace what you want, but when I tried this the entire status bar disappeared.
I am basically looking to add elements of Galaxy Green to the stock GSB system app and also add some different colored notification icons, such as a blue icon for bluetooth on but not connected and a different shade for on and connected.
If someone could point me to some directions that work, some software to create themes, or if someone would be willing to take on the task I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes.. You can open an apk and replace the png's within 7zip or winrar without extracting anything. Part of the problem I've had with doing that on th CM7 roms was status bar problems like you've said though. Also sometimes getting fc's on some things with the status bar and notification area. If you have the images you want to use I could help you out or if you want to put them in a zip and send them to me and I can throw them into a theme chooser apk for you. That so far has been the best way I've found to avoid issues on CM7.
@playpolo4life Thanks a lot. There is a lot to read there and hopefully I'll make it work in a few days.

I might just do that. I read some of the material linked above tonight while I was at worka dn on my next off days I'm gonna try to theme it myself. If I don't have any success I'll PM or shoot you an email. Thanks much for the offer.
Haha yeah its definitely a lot. I've tried to read it in one sitting and comprehend everything, but just couldn't do it. I don't think I have the patience for most of the theming requirements. I gave up when I got to the xml editing and hex editing parts lol.
Well I tried apk manager and followed the video instructions on how to set up the java path but since it's a WinXP video it gave me an error because I'm on Vista 64. I got apktool installed and working but after more videos and reading I have a headache and I still have no idea what I'm doing.

I could have misunderstood the directions but when I click the script.bat file a window opens with the message that reads, "Java was not found, you will not be able to sign apks or use apktool
Press any key to continue ..."
Hit enter and a lists of tasks pops up. Try any task and it wants to know what project you want to work on (option 22). I type "22" and it says to choose the app to be set as current project and says enter it's number. If this is working correctly then I clearly have absolutely no idea what I doing (always an option) since I don't know how to obtain project numbers, but I thought it might be related to the java not found message.
I do have the latest Java and Java SE DK installed. I'm getting really close to taking you up on the offer but what I want is extensive, at least I think it is.

You have the latest version of Java JDK? you shouldn't get that error. But for your project numbers... When you type option 22 it will bring up a list of all the apk's in the place-apk-here-for-modding folder. Type they number that corresponds to the apk you want to work on. Then hit option 9 to decompile the apk and go to your projects folder and you will see a folder with the name of the apk you just decompiled. everything will be in there
I uninstalled JDK and downloaded it again from the Java site although it was the same version I already had. I reinstalled it and tried apk manager again. This is the same message I was getting before ...

Well, I tried that "path" update and it didn't work but I noticed the post right below the one you're talking about said you have to have a 64 bit Java version.
I had installed the 32 bit version because AndroidSDK didn't want to work with the 64 bit version. After installing hte 64 bit Java the first error message went away but then it said ADB was not found. I only see one SDK download for Windows.
I also tried the method of opening the apk with 7-zip, dropping in the new image files and closing 7-zip. I moved the apk to system\apps and rebooted but it wasn't recognized so I deleted the file. I then tried to install my modified/renamed apk from the SD card and it went through the steps but then said app not installed.

Something sounds strange there then... I always get the adb not found when I use apk manager because I don't have it in the sdk with adb. It's ok to get that message you just won't be able to use the adb portion of apk manager is all. the one you modified and renamed... you decompiled it, replaced what you wanted then compiled it and signed it?
Decompiled, replaced files, recompiled ... it asked if it was a system file and I said yes. It created a new folder and told me to remove everything I changed and then press enter. Did that and it created an unsignedSystemUI.apk but when I open it all of the changed files were missing. The stock ones were not present either, they were just gone.
I have a headache again from this crap. I quit for the night.

nothing was there? That doesn't make sense Try doing it as a non-system file. It won't tell you to delete everything then. You'll just have to move it to system app because it will install to data app... one other question... Did you say yes to it copying stuff from the original doing it as a system file? If so try saying no when it asks that and it should compile with everything from the project folder instead of telling you to delete the things you changed.
Yes I did say it was a system app and yes I did say I wanted to keep stuff.
Not everything was gone, just all of my changes. I'll try it as a non-system app when I have time on my next off days.
Sent from my Eris ADR6200 using XDA Premium App
This has got to be part of my problem. When I try to decompile the systemui.apk using option 9 I get this ...
I tried using option 10 since it is a system file and I get this ...
I thought framework-res.apk was the dependency but when I try that it tells me that is not the dependee apk. Is there a way to tell what the correct file is?
Have I mentioned lately that this is really aggravating?!
GSB 2.9 Themes won't load
Starting with GSB 2.7, I have't been able to set themes. Still having the problem with 2.9. When I try to load one it goes through the motions but all it does is change the color of notification icons. Anyone know of a fix? Other than that 2.9 is great, very fast and no other issues at the moment.

I cannot get ADB working PLEASE HELP

I am hoping someone on here can help me. I am seriously at wits end here. Since the upgrade of jdk to version 7 I cannot for the life of me get adb or Eclipse to work. I have tried uninstalling reinstalling multiple times. I have searched Google high and low for my errors and none of the solutions solve it. I tried using the 32 bit of jdk, still doesn't work.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit professional. I have unzipped android-sdk_r17-windows to C:\android-sdk-windows. I have installed java multiple locations updating my system variable every time. I have Eclipse in C:\Eclipse.
Here is a list of everything I tried:
1- When I tried to install SDK Tools via the exe file it gave me an error when checking for java
$(^ Name) has stopped working
I googled it couldn't find anything understandable or related to SDK.
With using the zip, it does not give me the platform-tools folder. In the adb has moved.txt file it says to run AVD Manager and SDK Manager. However when I do so all that happens is a quick flash of the command prompt then nothing.
So after researching that a bit I ran from the command prompt the following:
Code:
>CD android-sdk-windows
>CD tools
>android
Error message:
find_java.exe has stopped working.
This must be the $(^Name) error I was getting earlier.
Uninstalling 32 bit Java
2 - This time I installed Java into the default directory of C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_03\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\
SAME THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uninstalling 32 bit java...
3 - Installing 64 bit java again... in default location
I did not install javaFX this time idk if it makes a difference
SAME THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to try to restart my pc now..... MAYBE JUST MAYBE that'll work....
Nope...
Now when I type the command lines I get this:
Code:
C:\>cd android-sdk-windows
C:\android-sdk-windows>cd tools
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>android
Error: Unable to access jarfile lib\archquery.jar

Any help or suggestions that I did not do I am open to. I am in no way shape a newbie I have been theming and using ADB for 2 years. This damn update is just killing me. (I am also about to have my BS in IT so that pisses me off even more I should know this stuff!!!!!)
I know at one time Java 7 was not supported for android development, jou had to use java 6, IDK it that is still the case or not though
I think it got it working somewhat...
It is the android.bat file it is written incorrectly

But now I can't get it to connect to google using http or https
Its probably the firewall here, I am going to install it all tonight on my laptop. Then copy it all and paste it here 2morrow...
I did reinstall jre6 but I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.
I use JRE 7 and working, but I have 32-bit Win7. The problem is, the path not set correctly.
I found this by Google, try it:
Code:
5. Add the ANDROID_SWT user variables:
5.1. Open start menu, enter sysdm.cpl into the text field and press enter.
5.2. In the opened window, select Advanced System Settings on the left.
5.3. Select Environment variables in the lower right corner.
5.4. Press the New button under the User variables windows (the top one).
5.5. Enter ANDROID_SWT in the variable name field and the path to the swt 64-bit SWT file into the variable value field. For example C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME HERE>\android-sdk-windows\tools\lib\x86_64.
5.6. Press OK in all the windows to close them.

If your still having trouble PM me. I never got thr whole Android SDK installed. I am having the identical problem you are. I tried everything I could find. Just like you. I think its just a compatibility problem with Win 7 x64. I did however set up adb to work properly. I can send you the folder with nec files. Let me know if this would help you at all.

Hello!
I actually managed to get around it. Install the 32-bit version of JDK and then download the SDK set up file (as in save it to disk). Go to where it in and open it in compatibility mode- for me i set it to Windows XP and ran the set up.
Everything installed fine and ADB works as well.
Hope that helps
I can get adb to run if I cd to the platform-tools folder in the command prompt. I know that is the path issue but I have it in there...
I downloaded all the files needed on another Windows 7 x64 machine then copied and pasted them into the folders on this machine... however when I try to create a project in Eclipse it tells me there's no SDK target, although when I open SDK Manager it tells me everything is installed.

I've been using the other PC for saving my .9 files from Eclipse then copying them back over to this machine to install. I know it sounds silly but that's the only way I got it to work.

I wanted to add that I was having this same problem and installing in Windows XP compatibility mode also seems to have solved it for me. I think it is a problem with Windows 7 x64.
FIXED!!!!!!!!
Found the fix!!!
Delete following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JavaSoft (not in Wow6432Node)
This will work even if you install both 32bit and 64bit Java SE JDKs!

Sebanc's Brunch Project

This is what I do, and it has been working awesome. I have done it several times experimenting.
Starting with a dual boot Windows and Linux Mint setup, each in their own partition, plus another partition which I refer to as "storage" (sda4).
From Linux Mint I have download Sebanc's Brunch package and Rammus Recovery image. I extract them both, and place the recovery image inside of the extracted Brunch folder.
I install the pv, tar and cgpt packages/binaries if they are not installed already:
Code:
sudo apt install pv:
sudo apt install cgpt;
sudo apt install tar;
I then run the following from inside the extracted Brunch directory (making my img file 20 gb):
Code:

Still in Linux Mint, I will then add the menu item for launching the image from the Linux Mint grub2 menu.
There are different ways to do this, but I use grub-customizer:
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer;
sudo apt update;
sudo apt install grub-customizer;
I add a new menu item, selecting "other" as the type, pasting from what is displayed at the end of the chromeos.img creation):
Code:
img_part=/dev/sda4
img_path=/ChromeOS/chromeos.img
search --no-floppy --set=root --file $img_path
loopback loop $img_path
linux (loop,gpt7)/kernel boot=local noresume noswap quiet splash loglevel=7 disablevmx=off \
cros_secure cros_debug loop.max_part=16 img_part=$img_part img_path=$img_path
initrd (loop,gpt7)/initramfs.img
I then reboot, and I will see the Chrome OS option in the grub2 boot menu.
I hope this is helpful to someone.

Spent some days reading through this thread and trying everything I could find to get mine to install properly but it all ended in the same "Missing OS" error or something else.
Thankfully it all did lead me discover Sebanc's Brunch Framework which worked perfectly for me... aside from having some issues with the installation as some of the documentation wasn't as newbie-friendly regarding some stuff and their Telegram group is private but that aside, as a complete noob I imanaged to get it running in hours and every function related to the OS itself is working perfectly on my dual-boot PC and laptop.
Just sharing in case anyone else is going through the same thing here.

Thanks for the information. The sebanc brunch tool worked great. It seems to have taken the best of various methods, but made it simpler without having the manage various partitions. Even better news is that I had issues with my Dell Venue 11 Pro not working with any method for a while. Arnold after R56 or something stopped showing video and other issues with all other builds, including Fyde, that I tried . Using brunch with just the recommended recovery (rammus), which is a more generic build, everything works. The grub/boot it comes with also seems to be a bit more generic and better than I had with Arnold.
Instructions and downloads are here: www.github.com/sebanc/brunch
Some clarification, particularly for dual-boot, is that it brunch documentation doesn't seem to mention that everything, once installed, resides inside of an image file (.img) on one partition (ntfs or ext4) on your drive. It also doesn't tell you to copy the boot files anywhere, but rather to boot from a USB/SD then it will boot up the img. I got around this by loading the boot files onto my main boot partition where I'm triple booting Windows 10, Ubuntu (I used ubuntu to do this), and Chrome OS. I don't think that matters too much since I'm using rEFInd (www.rodsbooks.com/refind/) as the main bootloader and I think it has modules to chainload from any partition, not just FAT like most BIOS need (I could be wrong, since all mines on the the main FAT boot partition). I'm using the minimal theme on the refind site with some custom icons. I modify these files in Ubuntu with a sudo bash shell.
Another note is you may be able to secure boot with brunch since they include a certificate you could theoretically load to your system's key for secure boot.

@ralphwiggum1: Can you share how you got reFind to work? I have updated manual.conf with the following, but it gives me an error:
Starting (null)
Using load options 'initrd=(loop'
Error: Not Found uhile loading (null)
* Hit any key to continue *
Here is what I have in my refind manual.conf file - which matches what I have in my Linux Mint grub2 (which boots up great):
Code:
menuentry "ChromeOS (boot from disk image)" {
img_part=/dev/sda4
img_path=/ChromeOS/chromeos.img
search --no-floppy --set=root --file $img_path
loopback loop $img_path
linux (loop,gpt7)/kernel boot=local noresume noswap loglevel=7 disablevmx=off \
cros_secure options=enable_updates cros_debug loop.max_part=16 img_part=$img_part img_path=$img_path
initrd (loop,gpt7)/initramfs.img
}
Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Tried using the script after I discovered it a few days ago, and it worked perfectly inside of an Ubuntu VM I created. Overall, everything built successfully when using the Croissant script to create a Chrome OS image (I used ATB R80 Special chromium image, Eve R80 recovery image, and swtpm.tar) and I was able to write it to an old USB drive and boot off of it on my old laptop. Most things worked fine except for the Play Store, which would give the generic "Something went wrong" error. I tried again, this time not enforcing SELinux when asked by the script, and the same exact error came up when using the new image. The chrome://flags page was also completely empty.
I eventually tried using Sebanc's Brunch Framework since other people on here have used it, and the resulting image file that I wrote to the USB drive worked great with my old laptop. Every function including the Play Store was working, albeit sluggish due to the flash drive I was using being slow.
Not sure why the Play Store wouldn't work when I used the image created with the Croissant script, yet worked when I used the image created with the Sebanc's Brunch Framework. I guess it's because my laptop (Acer Aspire E5-571-563B) is simply too old for the Eve recovery image. Either way, big thanks to the developers of both the projects for allowing us to run official Chrome OS on normal laptops.

I'm using Refind, but using it to load Grub. Refind may not have all the capabilities of Grub to be able to boot Chrome OS, at least I don't think it can.
With sebanc/brunch, I was actually wrong before, they do say to copy the grub info to your existing grub config. I had missed that part.
Copy the GRUB configuration which appears in the terminal at the end of the process (between lines with stars) to either:
your hard disk GRUB install if you have one (refer to you distro's online resources).
the USB flash drive / SD card GRUB config file (then boot from USB flash drive / SD card and choose "boot from disk image" in the GRUB menu),

So if you're already using grub, you could add your Chrome OS menuentry to it, but it may not be possible to make it a separate item in your refind boot screen. In that case, just copy the sebanc/brunch boot files to another folder on your system's efi boot partition and make a folder called 'cros' or something. It's just the grub loader and the grub.conf. Then just make an option in refind to load that grub file. You can maybe play with that grub's config file to not show the grub menu and autoload the first menuentry.
Hope this helps.

Sorry about that. I followed the YouTube video on the link in the Croissant thread to create the USB Linux with the Chrome OS folder inside. But when I try to install it presents me with the errors in the screenshots. I've tried installing to the HDD and it always give the same errors. I'm not real versed in Linux and maybe that is my issue.
Forgot the screenshot.

I've had great luck with Project Croissant and maknig bootable usb drives, I just haven't found any recoveries other than lulu 80 that are stable enough to use, however, it lacks the linux container. I'm currently running Eve76, with the linux container upgraded to Buster, with backports and flatpaks. That's working really well for me... but, its not 80 :laugh:
I'm determined to figure this out though, because I'm home and bored out of my skull.

Thanks for the info. I'll check there. I used the Linux mint method and created the folder and the IMG file but I could ever get it to install to disk. I tried various methods from the brunch page and no luck. Thanks though.
Here's what i did to get Brunch to work for me.
I used R80 k4.19 testing v3 from this page: https://sites.google.com/view/brunch-project/downloads
and the Rammus 80 recovery.
Using two USB thumbdrives, I booted Linux Mint from one, running apt to install pv and cgpt.
On usb drive 2 I had my unpacked brunch and the chromeos recovery.
I then followed the instructions for installing it to /dev/sdX to install it directly to my harddrive, found here: https://sites.google.com/view/brunch-project/wiki/how-to-install-chrome-os-on-your-laptop
I shutdown the computer, rebooted and let it do its thing. 10 Minutes later, I'm running ChromeOS 80. This seems rock solid so far. Playstore started no problem, updated and installed the various apps that I had been running on Eve 76. Linux installed and I updated Buster, added backports. Installed flatpak and am so far very happy.

That's cool. I had Fyde working pretty well, but battery life was awful and there were some glitches and flickering. I tried using Ubuntu in Windows to create a Cheomeos img but it tells me recovery image can't be found and all I have is a folder of files. Gonna go back to Fyde while I try to figure it out. Thanks for the input it's much appreciated.

This is what I do, and it has been working awesome. I have done it several times experimenting.
Starting with a dual boot Windows and Linux Mint setup, each in their own partition, plus another partition which I refer to as "storage" (sda4).
From Linux Mint I have download the Brunch package and Rammus Recovery image. I extract them both, and place the recovery image inside of the extracted Brunch folder.
I install the pv, tar and cgpt packages/binaries if they are not installed already:
I then run the following (making my img file 20 gb):
Still in Linux Mint, I will then add the menu item for launching the image from the Linux Mint grub2 menu.
There are different ways to do this, but I use grub-customizer:
I add a new menu item, selecting "other" as the type, pasting from what is displayed at the end of the chromeos.img creation):

Maybe you need to enable it on the BIOS. UEFI or Legacy?
Just run tpm.msc and it should give you status of TPM. If your PC supports it and it's in disabled state you can enable it from BIOS as earlier post suggests
Not sure which MBD you have but it's in the BIOS for sure. I had to search to find it on my ASUS MBD.
I'm excited to try windows 11 but my machine is very old i7-4720 and don't have TPM 2.0, i know there is workaround, when i saw the UI and android app via amazon store will be available later, i'm very excited.
Is there anyone try windows 11 without TPM 2.0 with just modified registry in set up installer? (without replace dll or install.wim/esd)
Windows 11 installed fine on my cheap HP desktop.

You need to enable fTPM in BIOS. It's somewhere in Security or Advanced section in your BIOS. I had to do the same with 3600.
Not all CPUs are compatible with that, and not all the manufacturers give the option to enable TPM. Lets bypass it, shall we? Create a new txt file anywhere on your pc and open it. After that, add the following lines:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\LabConfig] “BypassTPMCheck”=dword:00000001 “BypassSecureBootCheck”=dword:00000001
Save the file, and then rename it, just remove the "txt" and replace it with "reg". Open the file and BOOM. The setup should work.

I used that too to check compatibility.
Yea I've seen that, it came up after it ran a check to see if I can upgrade and said my puter wasn't able to get Win 11....
Funny thing is I'm already running Windows 11 so not sure how to explain that....
1: Create your own installation media
2: The steps necessary to remove the "Secure Boot" and "TPM 2.0" requirements error when attempting to install Windows 11
3: Obtain the newest available Windows 10 ISO from Micro$0ft;
Already have made your Windows 11 USB Installer using Rufus;
Mount Windows 10 ISO;
Find and locate the folder named Sources on the mounted ISO;
Copy all of the files in the Sources folder of the mounted ISO except for install.wim/install.esd;
Navigate to the Windows 11 bootable USB Installer that you have previously created in your File Manager;
Open the Sources folder on the Windows 11 bootable USB Installer;
Paste the previously copied contents/files from the Sources folder on the mounted Win 10 ISO to the Sources folder of the Windows 11 bootable USB Installer, and make sure to replace the files present in the Windows 11 USB Installer Sources folder;
Boot from Windows 11 USB Installer;
Profit from not having the requirements of Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 being enabled in place.
For more deatils hereis detailed tutorial. Link.
Interesting. Has anyone actually tried this method with success?
I'll give it a try
I remember very similar pains when Windows 10 first released. I think everything will be fine for the most part as long as your machine can run Windows 10. Not much is different between the two.
Thank you thank you thank you I thought I was screwed too I've got an old optiplex 790 with a Intel i5 4 series and I just booted all I did was change the registry through the BIOS on the front end during the install which means I made the ISO file for USB UEFI boot I got the error saying that my machine hardware was not suitable for Windows 11 so I hit shift and F10 to command prompt and entered notepad because I already copied the registry into a text document that's accessible from the file menu in the notepad never done that before and that was pretty cool..copied it and then went back to the command prompt and went to the regedit.exe... copy what I had on the the text document into the actual local registry and then started the install process all over and Golden... I had to actually download the ISO file from Android host file of all places checksum good worked out everything's even better when I can beat the status quo

I am modifying Windows 11 now, running JROM on my Host PC as well as a Virtual Machine, and will do a video once I get my modded Windows 11 posting in VBOX and properly write out what all was removed and left in~!
This includes my toolset to root anything android, called "Phonetoolz" Which is a series of batch files to easily root most anything android that you have the bootloader unlocked on, but that will be explained later...
JROM - Win 11 Iso link has been added to the thread. It is 4gb in file size. I am working on my "Rooted" version of the Win 11 iso, which will have WSA and more included on the ISO. When that is completed I will put all these iso's on their own thread and place that link here. Lol.
These ISO's were made for Virtual Machines, but will work with Rufus USB method too
TPM Requirements are off~!
Also, I took my Virtual Machine thread down Temporarily, when my root copy is complete I will post a VM image on that thread...
THESE ISOS ARE UNACTIVATED~!
This is intentional!
Good Day Sirs~!
Windows 7 is slightly different~!
Here's the command \ steps for anyone interested.
Copy the Window's 7 ISO Contents to the DVD Folder,
Run the start command in the MSMGTK12 folder.
Select option 1 and then pick out the version of windows 7 you want to install.
Proceed as normal
"
Main Differences Between Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate
The Ultimate Edition can boot files directly from VHD without host interference while this is not possible in Professional."
INTERESTING~! LETS EXPERIMENT WITH THAT
Working on some things for y'all <3

My modded variant of Windows 10, Lazily named "JROM-Win10" has been transferred to the cloud, and added to the string. The ISO is 4.24 GB in size.
I'm adjusting Windows 11 presently, codeprozone running JROM on my Host PC as well as a Virtual Machine, and will do a video once I get my modded Windows 11 posting in VBOX and appropriately work out what everything was eliminated and left in~!
This incorporates my toolset to root anything android, called "Phonetoolz" Which is a progression of cluster records to effortlessly root most anything android that you have the bootloader opened on, yet that will be clarified later...

This is a little strange, haha. Rewording, that which I already wrote.
I like your style.
I do see you guys' interest in how the phonetoolz work, my only limitation right now, is the fact that, A. The fastboot drivers continue to break in windows 10.
I want to find out why, but the thought lingers, that these tools, adb, etc, have existed for years without ANY trouble on windows 7, as my toolkit comes from batch files that I made 6 years ago....
I tried to simply install windows 7 on my machine and it was rejected due to "nvme drivers missing" and I was like, what the heck is that>? found out modern systems with ssd only cannot natively run the iso.
Learned about DISM and DISKPART. Figured DISM to edit and inject the tools into the iso could potentially rectify this, but I am failing due to our friend "TIM" TrustedInstall manager....
I realize that everything would work as is right now, but I want to complicate it in a way that teaches myself, and others, bc there's like an infinite way you can do things in computing today, with all the Languages our Puters know...
I got off track, but my other limitation is my USB on my RAZER PHONE 2 went bunk :< I do not have another android phone to show these on yet. Maybe I can find a cheap burner to teach on~!
Long story short, lemme correct these complications and we absolutely will go over these batch files~!
I am trying to build a tiny windows 7 virtual machine with the drivers preinstalled correctly so you could in theory run a script and boom we have root... and windows 7 A for compatibility of ADB and FASTBOOT but B for the filesize of the entire system... you can get that crap down to 1.2 gb zipped...
AN ENTIRE OPERATING SYSTEM, PREINSTALLED, ZIPPED FOR 1.2 GB....
CASE AND POINT
Google Drive - Virus scan warning
drive.google.com
This was made using Experiences' Modded windows 7 called "Tiny 7"
It kinda still works to this [email protected]
This is evidence that virtual machines can preserve history~!
Let's also not forget the fact that Windows 7 could run 21 Virtual Androids at once.
Not as expected, but the music they made was.... One Of A Kind~!
Skip to 2:47 in the video to hear them Sing~!
Also I just ask that people give me time.
I'm just an ordinary girl and I work at an ordinary place. It makes me tired.
So I try my best to make good use of my few hours off before bed haha.
Just a heads up to users still learning, who rely on scripts and tools to learn the process of building your own environment/lab/station. We all start somewhere not knowing what to do next, or which direction to go. especially when it comes to the line between experimenting in isolation and using unknown tools that then are allowed to coexist with your production ready, day to day, IRL devices/servers/network. There is a reason the term edge is used when discussing the line between private and public networks.
Malicious/suspicious code should be treated like like what it is: a novel virus. Untrustworthy, suspect, potentially deadly, and not something you're going to expose your loved ones too if for little else than to save you time, money, effort, and stress when you inevitably have to go into triage mode. Zero wipe your entire setup down to the firmware and driver headers on every machine in your network; muttering to yourself at 2 in the morning, cursing how much there is left to do after you're finished tearing it all down, hoping that it wont show up again like last time 2 times you missed a spot.
Code doesn't care about your intentions, good or bad, innocent or nefarious. It's not concerned about who, why, if it's good or bad, if it's helpful, funny, or destructive. It just is, and it does what it was told to do by someone you'll never know. Zerotrust is the new term, I still prefer paranoid. Everyone else should embrace that as well, especially before running something that has 9 separate flags in a 31MB file on a forum. Even when the poster shows no other signs of mal-intent.
Never forget, it's not a fairytale.
This is the internet, and there be dragons.

Based on that, Something is trying to use logic(boolion) code where it's not allowed. Whatever flipit grid is (maybe tiles for start menu?). Windows is throwing the error because it was blocked from doing it's thing and whatever it is wasn't programed to recover from the halt in code at that point. Seeing as how windows covers those types of expectations, I stand by my earlier post and say anyone downloading this person's files should know what they are doing. It threw many flags on virus total. Regardless of their intentions OP should not be trusted. Guess I'll hit the report button since they obviously won't pull the content themselves.
