I have a family plan on T-mobile i just got the GT-I9300 what are the best options in regards to changing my data since i only get edge or should i just leave my 5GB plan. And anything else i should know about the GT-I9300 on T-mobile i would really appreciate

There's almost no way you will ever use 5GB of data while on EDGE.. if you really want an i9300 you should get the minimum amount of data for your phone and get a 5GB hotspot plan.

Yep! That's what I am doing. Sorry, I didn't see you already had the device but the minimum amount of data is enough to use EDGE in a pinch and otherwise I just use the hotspot for data

Im with at&t right now but I want unlimited data on a smartphone.what choices do I have

I believe all current data plans offered by Verizon are unlimited. At least unlimited as long as you don't abuse it.
Pretty much anybody that isn't At&t. Verizon, Sprint both offer unlimited data.
I'd avoid t-mobile, because of the merger with at&t.

Yep, ^all right.
Verizon killed the 15mb plan and now its just unlimited data plan only.

Unlimited Data plan is $29.99 and
I assume you mean Talk(Voice Plan)
450 minutes $39.99
900 minutes $59.99
If you add txt, it's $9.99/Month
So, lowest bill you can get is $70 w/o txt or $80 w/ txt.
Thanks for the help, looks like verizon is the best choice for me

Would it be possible to flash the view to boost mobile and just pay the $50 a month for unlimited data?

People have done it, and I've seen youtube video's about it, so yes. Apparently it can be done.
I don't think you have to "flash" anything. You just call Boost and tell them you want to activate it on your account. If they don't notice it's a sprint device you're good.
Im on t-mobile and this constant data drops and crappy signal in my house and everywhere u go is intolerable. I really don't wanna sign a contract but heard.good things about straight Talk. So i need advice or current user input on this matter. Or recommend me to something worth checking out. Thank you.

StaightTalk seems pretty good for at&t users who want to change carriers with minimum fuss. Your at&t note won't need any rom or modem flashing. But, you will have to unlock it and manually input the APN settings.

It runs on AT&T's HSPA network. So it's the same as that. You won't get LTE though. That currently only for AT&T.

Just order a sim card online...I'm currently on ST n its got fast data speeds n good coverage
If you have an AT&T phone and plan on using ST AT&T then you don't need to unlock your phone! I'm using the GNote on straight talk AT&T without it unlocked.

You can freeze Tethering Manager with TiBu but its almost a guarantee they will notice it and charge you..
Carriers are able to see if you are tethered..

Anyone know the world record of data used in one month? I wanna go for a terabyte. Right now I'm at 55gb only 2 days in cycle.

Lol nice. There were a few members here a while back that posted screen shots of about 450 in a month. That's the highest I've seen. Most I've used is about 150.
