Hey.
I currently have an issue where headphones aren't detected. A reboot won't fix it and neither will reinserting.
On checkrom 3.5 siyah kernel and loudness mod.
A nandroid restore to checkRom 2 fixes it for a little while but eventually it comes back.
Anyone else?

Are you sure it's a software-related issue and not a hardware-fault due to a broken microswitch in the jack?
Positive due to fact that after the nandroid restore it instantly works. Even unplugging and plugging in multiple times works every time until eventually it just stops...

I had that problem when I updated to the new firmware, but I unplug the headphones and put them back no problems, did you try a hard rest ?

What's a hard reset? Power down fully then power on? If so, yes. Thank you.

Could be the loudness mod.
Had the same issue and thought my headphone jack was damaged. Can't remember which version I used but after copying my original file back I have not had any issues since.

I had a similar issue when i unpacked my phone, my earpiece didn't work nor my headphones on stock player. Then i dl. Poweramp and all started working and worked ever since.try dl. a 3rd party player
Yeah sounds weird and f..... up.got it on a friday and i was about to return it but it was weekend so i had to wait until Monday.

After installing ICS rom, my pandora bluetooth in all my cars is not working. it keeps pausing.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I've had this issue a couple times with gb ROMs.
This sounds crazy, but after un pairing and repairing a couple times I was finally able to get it working by starting the Google Music app. Strangely enough, I was able to do this a couple more times after flashing other ROMs without needing to repair the device.

My regular phone Bluetooth in my car has been unreliable since ICS. It will be fixed in time so I'm not really worried about it.

While the ford sync is obnoxiously buggy, I haven't had any problem with bluetooth music with my note or my brother's SG3. I do find it annoying having to back out and re look at the entertainment menu to see the phone as an option.
No problems here either. I have a 2011 Limited Escape. I'm not sure what version of SYNC software is running because there's not a whole lot of navigation I can do in its menus/interfaces.
I'm not sure how I can get the text message functionality working but apart from that, everything works for me. What problems are you having?
Basically I can only play audio through Bluetooth for a little over 30 minutes at a time before the phone freezes and reboots. When I use cm9 it has never restarted.

Ford tech here, try a master reset (disconnect the battery for five minutes or pull the apim fuse), delete and repair phone.

Thanks for the replies, I tried a master reset through the sync dashboard and it still froze up after a half hour of music through the phone. Would pulling the fuse be any different? Thanks again!

Tried a master reset and it still froze up and rebooted on me. Should I try installing the odexed version of the stock ICS Rom? I don't understand why my Bluetooth world work flawlessly on cm9 but not stock. Thanks again

Yes, the master reset through SYNC is more like a soft reset, disconnecting the battery or pulling the fuse will restore her back to stock. keep in mind after the fuse pull, itll a take a couple of minutes before she responds. just curious what kind of sync/car?

this morning I had it hooked up to my aux cable for my car and it wouldn't let me turn up the audio.. was stuck at mute (all the way down).
tried rebooting and still didn't fix it, had to shut it off for a few minutes then restart.. anyone else notice this before?
Sounds like hardware. I haven't heard of that issue elsewhere.

well i did try a new game last night so I'm going to try to recreate the issue.

I can't make out the text on their image. I have replaced mine a few times and had trouble with a Rev 2.3 board - if I recall, there were problems with the speaker and signal reception was very bad. My original was a Rev 2.2 and when I got one of those everything worked perfectly.

Had serious thoughts about sticking with it, but the siren call of the S4 was too strong!
Do contact the vendor. This is a key question in whether the part is actually compatible with the phone - the model number is insufficient - so if they know their stuff they should help.

I feel kind of stupid but I used to have a swap button and now I seem to only have a record button and can't switch when I take a second call. Am I missing something, this seems to be the case in the regular dialer and in rocketdial

I'm going to help get this back to the top cause I have the same problem. Not sure when the swap button went away but I'm sure it was there at one point. I can not find anywhere in the settings that would change this. Only things I have done is root via chain fire method, install twrp, flashed freeza's crt animation mod for the native wifi tether and his beastmode kernel. Have you done any of this? I would love my swap button back but instead I have to hang up with both callers then call back whoever it is I want to continue talking to and it is really getting irritating. Anyone have any ideas or the same issue?

Thank you. I don't feel so alone and dumb now. I rooted using the other knox safe method dela root and odined the same file in that post although my baseband and software say mi3 and the build says mi5. With calls that is the exact problem I have. I can now record a conversation when its on speaker phone but dont need that. Only other thing I downloaded was rocketdial for a while I thought that was it but uninstalled and have the same problem

I am finding it hard to believe out of 200 views we are the only ones with this problem. I let my phone update to mj4 before I rooted it. Have you installed the crt animations or a new kernel? We seem so far apart in what we have done to be able to make sense of this.

Hope the bump helps. I don't have the issue you described, but I am with Sprint on MJ4 - what root did you use?
Dela vega. Lets try this does everyone else have a swap button in the top left position or does it say record. Or do you have a record button that switches to swap when you answer a second call

Its hard to tell because I reset with De la vegas again. But the first thing noticed n Wanum was the record button checked and unchecked it calls work fine now.
Finally got to mess with the phone and wanam was definition the culprit. I can now swap between calls again. The issue I still have and not sure what happens on the stock rom, when I want to hang up with one person I tap end them it doesn't switch me back to the person on hold. Instead it acts as if someone is calling me and then have to answer the phone where that person had been on hold the whole time. Hope this makes sense.

Did you just disable the module this is frustrating I never noticed until today when I tried switching back to the first call I had on hold
It's under the phone tab. Uncheck add record button or something like that. Should work. I have since installed a rom so not 100%. Let me know if it doesn't work and I will reinstall it to see if I can find it.

I wish we could have both. I want call recording but also want swap. I use swap so little however that I live without it.
what I want is behind the scenes fully transparent over any connection bluetooth or speaker call recording in the background fully automatic.
I had this on my Touch Pro 2 (windows mobile) and its one feature I really really miss. it just "always" worked.
