Hey what's up guys?
I got a question for everyone....everytime after I reboot my phone the pics to the apps I've installed are no longer visible on the icons on my homrscreen.....I have to actually remove the icons from the homescreen and re-add them back.....has anyone gotten this at all after reboot.....I've done a factory reset already and such......lemme know yur thoughts on this......

Yep. Same here. usually it's involves the apps I've moved to SD. Move them to Phone, reboot. The apps2SD is kinda silly I know, but I like as much free phone memory as possible. SO, if it ISN'T on your home screen, move to SD

So, correct me if I'm wrong. Basically in order to have the app icons on my screen with their assigned icon pic, I can't have the apps on my SD card? I have to put them back on the phone memory? Is there any way around this if I'm correct? Thanks!
Its a problem with htc sense in which it needs to be reloaded. Just change your scene then change it back and your icon pics will return regardless of where they are stored.

This problem occurred with the 2.3 upgrade on the evo also. It is not specific to the 3D. I don't know why gingerbread messed this up. Never had a problem on Froyo, but as soon as I upgraded to 2.3 GB on my Evo I would lose icons after a reboot too. Froyo seems to handle the SD card app moving better than GB.
Download fast boot from the market much easier

Is anyone having problems with their camera app? When I attempt to launch mine, the grid pops up then the app FC's. I have no idea why. I've cleared data, rebooted, and still nothing.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Yeah. My camera sucks. Slow. I use my phone to take pictures of my kids. I take 10 for 1.
It cannot deal with speed of an object at all whatsoever.
There is no constant shoot. On my galaxy and g2x you could POP 9 shots in a row.
I desperately need this feature.
Is there an app that has a continuous shot?
Anyone? Help?

I remember seeing a post somewhere about fast burst camera on the market. . . There is a paid and a free one. I have not used it, but it says it can take 5 - 10 pics a sec. . .

mine forcecloses to. i noticed if you toggle the 2d 3d button before opening the app it helps.. IE if your switch is set for 2d and u get a force close when trying to open the camera app, set it to 3d open the app (hopefully without a force close) then switch it back to 2d.. works for me.. would be nice if i didn't have to do that though..

use a file explorer and look under dcim on the sd card.
How are you enabling this feature? I enabled mine through the browser, but holding power and home does nothing for me.

I dont know what you mean by enabling it... When i first loaded my ROM i halfpressed the power key and hit home it made the sound, said it was taken but i cannot find it. I see them under my DCIM folder but they are 0bytes and when i try to view them i get a triangle with an exclamation paint through it

keeps saying it's saving to camera shots and i can't find them, all screenshot apps except drocap2 take distorted pictures. what is the deal? I really like having native screenshots...

IM having the same issue that you have, it make the sound and create a file in the DCIM folder but when i try to open it i get the triangle with an exclamation. same as you. any idea how to fix this?

I use an app called Screenshot It and it works awesome with no blurring. I havent tried the native one because I didnt know how.
never figured out how to use the native screenshot and instead off sitting here looking like an idiot I downloaded dropcap2 and set it up to capture from notification and haven't had a problem at all
Mine will show it takes the picture...but it will not load...i can see the picture file...but it will not open..any ideas?

I'm getting zero bytes also
Rooted 3D shooter in full affect
When I take a screenshot the image appears under Gallery > Camera shots.
I'm not rooted. All I have to do is hold the power button down and then quickly press the Home button.
I have encountered this happening in several threads. Sometimes attached photos show up and others they don't. I have a reply in one thread with 4 photos. The first shows, the second has the full sized blank place holder that if you touch pops up the picture. The other 2 are small place holders that if you touch them lives the standard thread pop up with options to reply quote etc.
I have tried cleaning the data and wiping cache under settings/applicAtions/manage. Also have uninstalled and re installed and still getting this.
Anyone else experience this.

I've had some issues as well. I think it might happen via the pc as well.
I might have something to do with png files?
Were the ones about originally png?
I 'think' the xda uploader converts the png to jpg.
So perhaps that is the problem.
I've noticed jpgs go up fine.
They are jpeg. Usually .png files will not load for me. Let me try a picture from the camera.
These pictures show sometimes others they don't. Did my Serengeti picture show?

I think it is specific to the Note's ICS ROMs, yes. Images show fine in the XDA app on my Captivate running ICS.
I will add i javelin this issue on all tapatalk forum apps...not just xda

im only seeing white boxes and im a PC. has to be the way there being loaded up.
cuz i can go into other threads from my pc or phone and see the pictured. like the post your homescreen thread.
I had this problem a while ago trying to upload from the phone to twitter. The way I fixed it was to convert the photos from .png to .jpg using the app batch image in the market its .99 cents. I haven't found a free converter, but this app is worth it.

Nope, just happened to me on my Gingerbread ROM. What I've seen is that the snapshot saves in PNG format and that's what won't show. If I change to JPG and upload it works fine.

How do you change it from png to jpg in Quicpic?

They are similar but can be handled differently. give it a try and see
Sorry, they are .jpg the XT9 keep changing it to .jpeg when i type it in.

Does anyone else occasionally experience an app mysteriously vanishing after restarting your phone? It's not as frequent anymore but it will happen to me with certain apps.
I'm wondering if this is because somehow they aren't compatible with my 64GB microSD- IF that's the default save location or if anyone else is experiencing this.

First of all, apps can't be saved on the microSD card on this phone. Check my FAQs on that.
Secondly, I've heard of disabled apps re-installing themselves on our phone on reboot, but not the other way around. Can you tell us which apps are doing that?
Airdroid, Fatbooth, FartDroid, etc... you know.... important apps... lol. This is my second phone to do it. The XDA app used to do it too. Some others as well. Their icons still show in folders but when you click it says the app is not installed.

I've experienced the same problem. They will randomly come back to life, but it seems if apps are stored on what the phone thinks is the SD card rather than the internal storage, it has a greater tenancy to vanish.
I've had this happen a few times. I have not noticed whether they are apps I have moved to the phone storage area or not.
When I move them, they seem to be ok. That is until an update for that app, if I restart before moving it back it'll delete.

Last night I moved my apps from internal to phone storage to make more space. After a while, my phone died. When I turned it back on, guess what? 90% of the apps vanished from my phone. Here I am redownloading everything... is this normal or does my phone have problems?

That same kind of thing happens to me. ADW remembers the apps where there, but can't launch them.

I might return and exchange the phone. No apps will save to phone storage and it keeps telling me I have insufficient storage in the internal storage.... Can anyone save to phone storage, restart and see if apps are still there?

Might be something with your handset I have 1.6GB on phone storage and haven't had any apps self delete. I have run out of space on the internal storage, 1GB there isn't much. My plan is to s-off over Christmas when work shuts down and see if any progress has been made being able to move apps to the external SD. There was some talk about it a while ago.

When I click apps on phone storage it shows the apps that are really in internal storage but when you click the apps they say "move to phone storage". Very strange.
I'll do a factory reset and see if it helps the issue.

I hope so! I'm going to do a factory reset tomorrow and see what happens. If it's not fixed I'll replace it after Christmas that way they should have a fresh batch. My last Inc 4g had the same issue.

Well I just got a replacement..... same issue. I'm so bummed by this phone and HTC. Any suggestions for a new phone with an SD card slot? Verizon is about to hook it up. I like the DNA but I hear there's no SD slot.

Dont go, root it and try my sdcard swap mod on development section, and fix permissions and i recommend viper rom, that made that error go for me
