[Q] CM10 Installation Aborted on SGH-I747M (Bell Canada) - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

Hello, I have read the CM10 builds thread on the OD section and since I cannot post there yet, I will ask here.
I removed the first line in the updater-script file (asserts the model name) to install CM10 on my phone, like I did with CM9.
But I get the message "Installation Aborted" with no error code.
Has anybody else with the same phone tried to install it? Did I miss a step?
Thanks for the help.
edit: I have been using the ROM labeled as "d2att"

LiteningRom-Flash Problem

Hey there,
I want to flash another ROM, at the moment I use LiteningRom 3.2 but for some reason each time when I want to install the zipfile of any other ROM i get the errormessage "installation aborted" - i redownloaded them again and again so it can't be caused by a corrupted file. Does anyone know the problem?
cheers
Your other thread just got moved to here (Q&A), no need to make another. Wait until someone answers that thread.
I moved your original thread to Q&A. Next time do not make new threads either report your post for thread maintenance and wait patiently. Locked this thread

Absolutely no need to open a 2nd thread. Use your existing thread for this question. I've asked mods to close/remove this one.
Yes, this should have been asked in the discussion thread. No need to open a new thread.

[Q] Any help welcome, cannot manually update RAZR to OTA 4.2.1

Ha, excuse me...4.1.2
Hello all,
I'll start by saying that while I'm no novice to rooting and flashing and general Android troubleshooting, I recently became an owner of the original Droid RAZR. It's currently rooted, with SS3, however I unrooted my stock rom because of performance reasons, but is rooted on Slot 1 of SS3.
For the life of me, I cannot get the device to install the OTA update released on Christmas Eve correctly. I have tried every folder on my SD, and the root of the SD and flashed it in stock recovery. Each time, installation aborts, citing this message:
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I know there are things out there like RSD Lite and another program for Motorola phones, but please keep in my that I'm coming from a rooted Samsung Fascinate and a rooted Droid Incredible. I've never run a Motorola device short of basic rooting, so using any other programs I'm not familiar with.
If anyone has any solution to this, I would greatly appreciate it. If I have to follow steps to get it done in another program I will, just kind of tired of ICS. Thank you so much in advance.
Wow really? No one wants to help?

Because there's about ten threads here in three different forums describing how to do it and what you need to do when you get the error you are getting.
You're correct, there are about 10 threads describing what to do, and as I mentioned, all of them are 100% not working for my phone. So please, don't be so quick to judge. Found the solution, none of which were listed here on XDA.

Well you still have SS3, you haven't tried RSDLite, you don't mention droidrazrutility and you don't know what status/error 7 means so that tells me that your assertion that the threads are "100% not working" is not exactly the truth now is it?
Here is a post just a few threads down in this same sub-forum. AND it has a video.

Galaxy S3 I9300- Tutorial Ror Stable ROM or List All Links In One Place

Hello guys,
I apologize in advance if this is someone already asked, but if not I would like to ask if someone could put something like a tutorial, or all links in one place, to set up a new good and stable ROM on S3 I9300. I think it would be good to set an explanation from the very beginning, such as: how to install the ROM (good and stable), how to install Karnel (good and stable), if it is required for this ROM, and explanation and tools to restore the original ROM if something is not good after installing custom ROMs. Once again, I apologize if I was wrong with asking, I'm relatively new to this forum and this could because I wanted to install a new ROM but I'm not 100% sure how to do it and which ROM to choose. I found and read a lot of information, but now I am after all this information even more confused, and I would like to do it properly.
Thank you
Am using blekota note 4 latest build on my i9300
