Guys is it possible for one of our amazing devs to port Team Win Recovery Project 2.2 recovery found here http://teamw.in/project/twrp2 ? I use it in my brothers gt540 over cmw5.x.x.x and i can say its quite better and faster . Please dont post post anything about "whats the need" etc .I m only asking for another alternative recovery for our neo
So none is interest in this fantastic recovery ?

What details ? Its a fully touch recovery . You can check in their site ,there are photos and description and if you see testimonies in the threads of their supported devices you will see that it backups faster and with less probability of corruption . If anyone can point me to a guide of porting recoveries (not the guide of rootz wiki for porting twrp) i can try to compile it because now it gives me an error
So more and more devices have this recovery ported. Anyone port it to us?

Ok there are two methods to build rom
1. Get all the sources of kernel,android (froyo or gingerbread), the source code will be like 10Gb or cyanogenmod and start compiling. (Sounds easy doesn't it)
2. Get froyo kdz, extract the content(tools) Use a kitchen (probably HTC kitchen) to spiceup things replace some apps themes and zipalign,root etc etc and make a flashable zip.
This is just overview.

I am in china and for me to be able to download the stock rom thru a vpn is taking ages i started it 3:20pm today and its 9:34 pm now and ive downloaded only 4%
Only some senior developers/team can do it or help us...
We should approach some of the teams from Note 2 section... just a thought...

not a Dev bro a complete noob at programing.... infact ive been using sustom roms since win mobile was the only custom roms avaiable on xda but never have i been programing so yeah dont have a clue as to what im doing but giving it a shot

I have been looking for TWRP Touch recovery for Sola. But then I found that none of our devices (P, U, Go, Sola) have got the TWRP recovery!
Can anybody please compile it for our devices? (Sola specifically )
I could have compiled it, but I have no knowledge about compiling a recovery or a kernel.
Still, if somebody is interested, it would be my pleasure to help them! :angel:

Yes ... Me and Gava97 are working to OmniRom which includes twrp 2.5.6.X . If it will boot with that kernel,i'll let you know,otherwise we have to continue working
