Ok guys, so, i got a Xperia X10 U20i (Mini Pro i believe???) anyways, its been barred as i found it, my friend said to flash the phone and it will unbar the phone so i followed all the instructions to do so and all it done was updat it from 1.6 to 2.1.
Can i get some help please!!

am..i dont really understand ur problem...
u got issues with the very very old fw of the phone updated it to a newer one and now?
do u want to get a newer software on it or doesnt it work after u updated it to 2.1

I got my phone rooted (xperia x10i) and tried 2.2.4..
I really dont know what are things here but I tried because while reading the comments and suggestion I was convinced..
now I got my phone stocked and only turns on til Sony Ericson and no more..
I hope you can help me with this problem..

Do not worry,Seus used to repair or PC companion, if not possible and use a firmware flashtool

You can repaire through SESUS or you can flash rom from these thread:-

Damn need some help here ..
I tried to update with SEUS but it doesn’t work .. It says that the update is available and all .. And when I press to proceed it says the download failed or something like that ..
My phone has been rooted when I had 1.6 but 2.1 removed the root .. I’ve removed apps that require root such as TitaniumBackup and Barnacle’s wifi tethering .. But it still doesn’t work ..
Anyone in my situation or who can help at all?
btw I have an X10 phone

either reflash using flashtool with a stock firmware that came before .435 and then update using suess.
OR
re root ur phone with flashtool then,
just flash one of the dualtouch firmwares found on the site, which would be .435 with flashtool. some come pre rooted etc.
Hmm ok I'll try. But I dont understand why this is happening cuz former update worked just fine :-/ .. And I haven't rooted since then either..

Hey I think I solved it ..
My friend told me to try updating with PC Companion instead of SEUS and so I did .. And apparently I think it's working .. It's updating right now

Just got the X10 for my wife from Vodafone, how can I debrand it to get the latest firmware as apparently the SEUS trick no longer works (apparently).

Hi, is your X10 rooted and locked bootloaded? If not, for better/safe case of updating X10, i suggest you update via SONY PC Companion to get official 2.3.3, for best of future use. Then, follow link below to root, flashing and install other Custom ROMs:
