[Q] SD cards shows up when none installed

I am trying to Flash my G Tablet with a new ROM. When I view the existing files on my G Tablet using the resident file explorer two SD cards show up, SD and SD2 but there is no SD card installed in the slot. The reason this relates to my attempt at flashing the ROM is the mystery SD card is the only thing my laptop shows when tethered using the USB cord.
Can I delete these mystery SD cards without any harm?
If I do delete them, will my laptop then be able to get to the Root folder so I can transfer the Clockwork Mod and TnT Lite files?
Hmmmm interesting i have never heard of that problem (not that its abnormal).Well in the viewsonic g tablet there is an internal sdcard, but you mention a SD card 2. I would reccomend NVFlashing because this may just be a glitch and it will restore your tablet back to normal. And as a plus, it will be very helpful learning how to NVflash your device because it comes in handy very often. Hope it works

[Q] Nook Tablet Memory Issue

Bought a Nook Tablet and got it to sideload. Downloaded several Amazon Books and Apps. Installed a 32 gb SD card.
When I ran a file mgt program it asked if I wanted to move about 12 apps to the SD card. I agreed to move two to see what would happen.
What happened is that it moved both off the tablet altogether. One app went to the Amazon Cloud. The other app I had to re install from the app store. The card is mounted and recognized fine. I just can't use it for anything on it.
The nook set the card up with folders and some files. Everything should load onto the card especially when masked and moved by the File Mgt program. (ZD Tools and the same happened with Astro)
What is happening? Anyone know what to do to make the card a fully functional data location?

[Q] I want to replace sd card that has side-loaded apps

I have an 8 gig sd card on my Nook Tablet on which I have side-loaded apps. I was wondering how I can upgrade to a larger sd card. Do I have to transfer the apps to the new card? And how would I do that? Or do I have to reinstall all of the apps that have been saved to the card?
You should be able to just copy the contents of the old card to your new card. You could also copy the contents to a folder on your PC, and then copy the folder contents to a new card.
A fine point

Do you have the apps actually INSTALLED on the SDcard (this requires some tweaking of settings), or did you download the .APK files onto your SDcard and install them from there?
In the latter case, your apps were installed to the 12GB partition on the internal memory, that is reserved for the installation of apps. In this case you do not need to keep the .APK files on the SDcard.
Simply copying it over (plug nook in -> copy sd card to pc -> switch out card -> recopy OR remove card -> copy to new card (I'd recommend this)) will work fine. I've done it on several cards (I use several cards - large comic and video library etc, travel, and important apps and folders are replicated on each cards). I also have a cute microsd card holder (from sdcardholder.com I think) that holds a bunch of cards I'd normally be misplacing, so handy!
I prefer to keep apps installed on the nook's internal memory (because why not?), so using something like Titanium backup (I think? or maybe another app manager) to move any that automatically install to an sd card is handy.
Thanks for the replies. I thought that I would be able to copy as you guys suggested. I just wanted to be sure. As for where the apps are installed to, I believe the Amazon apps that are side-loaded need to go on the sd card for some reason, so that's why I was concerned.
It sounds like connecting by the cable to the pc and then transfering the sd card files there and then to the new card would be the best bet. Less of a chance for mistakes or corruption.

[Q] CM7 on SD-Card and accessing ebooks

Hi folks
here's my problem: I have my NT setup to run CM7 straight from a 32GB SD (the card is accordingly partitioned). Everything works great, really. However, since the Nook app is my favourite reader I would like to use that. Yet - afaik - it can't be directed to the path where I have my ebooks stored (the SD card partition on the SD card in my case).
Here then my question:
Does anyone know where I have to put my ebook files, so the Nook reader app sees them and puts them in its library?
Or is there actually a way to have the files stored on the SD card and have any reader app access that path?
Cheers and thanx for your help.

Yep. You've already installed the Nook for Android app, correct? If so, you should be able to use any file explorer to copy your eBooks to the folder Nook\MyDocuments. Anything you put in that file (assuming, of course, that it's a file format that Nook can handle) will show up in your Nook app until the "My Files" and "All Items" pull down menus.
Salduos and happy reading,
