[HELP] Big Black Box/Yellow Text - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

Hey all, just got out of a painful tech support chat with a wonderful Samsung representative. I got an issue here. I figured you guys could help.
This just started popping up a little bit ago on my phone. I cannot for the life of me get it to go away. The Samsung tech was trying to get me to boot into recovery to get rid of it by holding Vol +, Vol -, and Power.. which it just kept going to the Verizon boot animation. I'm not an amateur by any means, but I was hesitant to root this thing eventually, but because of this I'm even more scared.
Any ideas what this is and how I can get rid of it?
The phone functions just fine, but that's quite the nuisance. I couldn't find ANY post with a similar problem, maybe I can help someone else out some day.
TIA. Below is a screenshot:

Let me help you with the pic, I couldn't see it at first and others wouldn't have either.

I thought it was vol +, home, and power button to get into recovery mode.

HELP
Have you tried da_g's recovery?
Btw, how many notes do you have?

Did you factory reset it? Or it just booted like that. Looks like its in some sort of Clock Work Recovery or soft bricked which is not a big deal. Someone here will help you out soon as i am not a Pro on recovery. Same thing happened to me when i bought a Galaxy S2 a few months back. Just hang tight until some one gives you directions or search the forums.
Try and "Reboot" it while highlighted by hitting the power button. Thats at least how i reboot out of clock work mod for the Att version. Next step prob would be to highlight wipe data/factory reset. But again wait until someone confirms this for ya. Shouldn't be long
Just curious, what did you trade for
all good got it figured out. thanks

[Q] [HELP] [WTSR/SMPL] Bricked SGSII by removing Gmaps

Hey guys,
Pretty desperate here, and I've been searching the forums and other pages on the web for a solution, but nothing yet.
I'm afraid I did something pretty stupid. I wanted to update Gmaps, but Play Store gave me the 'not signed correctly, please delete older version' message. So I tried to uninstall the old Gmaps through Settings, but that didn't work.
Than I had this 'brilliant' idea to just hardcore delete Gmaps through Titanium Backup. Well, I did and... BOOM! Black screen, a short boot loop and after that... nothing.
I took out the battery for about 15 minutes and placed it back in, and now I get this weird message saying 'WTSR/SMPL'.
Phone won't start up in Recovery, only Download mode.
Somebody can help me out here?

Flash a stock rom in download mode with Odin, clean slate. Then re-root your phone & you can restore a backup (if you have one).

Thanks for your response so quick, appreciate it.
BTW, are you sure there is no other way? Did you see this WTSR message before?
No probs. No, I've never seen it. But thinking logically; you have no recovery, the phone won't boot normally & you can only get into download mode. You don't really have any other option other than the one I suggested, do you ?

Not sure. The weird thing is: when I press the home button repeatedly, the screen starts flickering from white to black and back. So there's still something alive, don't you think?

really need help on my SG Note 10.1 (GT-N8000)

Hi/Hello everyone!
I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8000) which I got as a "hand-me-down" from my Aunt, so I really don't know where she buy or get. It works fine then suddenly it hangs and reboots itself and got stuck in the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" Logo/Screen.
-as far as I know its still on its stock ROM and stock recovery
-charging doesn't do anything. won't charge.

-I can access download mode
-I can't access recovery mode. When I press Power button and Volume + button "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" appears, then a black screen for a couple of seconds, then again "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" appears a black screen and it will go on as long as I don't release the buttons.
-I also tried to press Power and Volume + buttons then releasing the power button when the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" appears but to no avail.
- and since I can access download mode, I already tried flashing stock rom, from my country and also tried one from Netherland (coz I read somewhere that when he flashed that Netherlands firmware he saved his device) but also it did nothing. All of my flashing was successful in Odin but won't do anything on my device.
- I also removed the battery for some minutes and put it back hoping that it can fix some problems but still no luck.
I've tried all the solutions on this thread.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-1/general/n8000-stuck-samsung-logo-t3212923/page5 won't do anything..
I hope someone will enlighten me and help me, i would really appreciate it.
and can someone tell if there's still a fix on this problem without replacing hardware? or is it the only possible fix? Thank you.
and by the way I am no expert when it comes to this, so please bear with me
Thank you in advance and cheers XDA Forums
anyone have any idea? :crying:

Reinsert accu and quickly press vol. down+home and power.
After a few attempts the device turned to download mode

Perhaps trying recovery if you have one. Greets Nick
Solved
I had the same trouble, buyed a new battery and the problem continues. The solution is to use a small piece of paper to adjust the battery. Please check the images attached of the solution. Hope will help to other people with the same trouble.

I am so stupid! I hardbricked my xiaomi mi a3!

Yesterday I received an alert on my phone that I could update to Android 11 (stock). And so I agreed, and after the update, the phone turned off, turned on and entered into Fastboot mode. It wouldnt boot. So I decided to flash the Android 10 (stock) back on it. Boom. After installing it, the phone turned off and I cant turn it on. It looks dead, even if I hold POWER button for many seconds - nothing. Holding POWER+VOLUME DOWN = NOTHING... volume up = nothing...
So I installed MIFLASH and connected my smartphone to PC and luckly it recognizes my smarphone COM port. Then I tried to flash the stock ROM and every single time I click flash, it shows this message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I know I should not downgrade from Android 11 to 10 and I cant believe how stupid I am. But now I am stuck with a bricked phone, no money left to buy a new one (actually I still have 4 payments due in the next 4 months to finish paying for this smartphone).
Can you guys please help me?
Yes, that is easy to bypass error not recive hello packet. Just hold power button 10-15sec afther that refresh MiTool and flash it again but for me afther that i got error Your Acccount is not Authorized for that operation.
I am pretty sad I just saw your message now I ended up paying a guy to fix my smartphone $ 80. **** xiaomi, piece of ****.
