Hey guys, I am going to start themeing and get away from pc's. Do any of you know a desktop OS or fully featured photoshop like suite on android? Was messing with windows xp on my hd2 earlier but would definitely love these kind of opportunities for my Note and future note 10.1.

Other forums I've been a part of always frowned on "I've got a cracked" its basically saying "I stole this" I'm not saying a ton of people don't do it its just that a ton of people don't really talk about it. Not reason to get bent at me or anything, I was just giving a friendly tip on how it might work here, maybe I'm wrong who knows.

I'm not really sure where you are coming from and before you start tossing out "you need to do this and you need to do that" why don't you check out post #2, you'll clearly see in the screen shot that I have photo shop on my phone and I wonder where I got it from? Since play store says is not compatible than that means there's a pretty good chance I got it from the internet. At any rate...all I was doing was giving you a courtesy of telling you that I'm not sure how "cracked apps" are taking here, that is all. But if you feel I was insulting you I apologize.
Edit: I went back and reread your last reply "people here need to lighten the #### up" I kind of take offence to that, if you haven't noticed...this isn't your run of the mill 15 year old iPhone forum this is xda. I see you only have a few posts...you'll learn over time bud.

If I was interested in the GS2 I know where to look and this forum isn't one of them.
BTW I need my Google navigation to work properly, my job depends on it. So using Samsung is totally out of the question for me.
I wonder if this babe is NFC ready. Is there anything on the box? Thanks guys. I would like to switch to amaze.

As far as it being advertised on the box I have no idea since I don't own one. I've seen in a few reviews that it was mentioned. Check out YouTube and watch some reviews.

I think for now the NFC feature is just a gimmick. You can't use it anywhere so that sucks. It would great once we can make payments with our phone.

Got it, I orignally pressed the Home key then Power instead of Power then Home.
NFC working
Has anyone gotten their NFC to work? I've turned on NFC and tried to register the presence of an NFC-equipped credit card and an e-passport, and had no luck.
It works for me, it will detect my nfc mastercard, wont gimmy info tho, says unidentified tag, i imagine software to read, as well as send nfc of bank info will com in later updates/roms. For now u can make ur phone beep wit a credit card. Woot... Lol

This is really cool and will this be a theme or built from a custom rom? I got my first real taste of Ubuntu when I installed it on an old laptop to get S-Off with the DirtyRaucun method. I need to get back to Ubuntu and see what I have been missing

I also just got a taste of it for the s-off but have since decided to fully install it on my HP Mini. Really enjoying Ubuntu. Wife won't let me put it on our main machine and I'm not sure I want to, but for my netbook it's awesome.
Edit : Sorry to OP for going off topic.
Need suggestions for what to fill the workspace with. This is a web based launcher after all so no android widgets.

I guess for some people...at the end of the day its just a phone. Anywho how bout some suggestions? I doubt people will want to hard code the launchers html file to see what they want. So leave some ideas for features pl0x. And community failed cause of the community the concept closely resembaled ubuntus mobile os so I'm going with that slapped over android. Ps java is a head ache.

A free tether hack that doesn't require root?
So you're asking for something for free and risk free, which typically costs money when obtained from the carrier, but can be had for free but requires the investment of time and involves risk, or can be had for a low one-time fee and no risk (root-free tether as was already linked), all on behalf of a friend whom knows little about these phones, doesn't want to root, and whom doesn't wish to pay?
Dude, if you succeed in your quest, your friend owes you big time.

Uhm, I am not questioning the responses you received, I was questioning your goals, sir.
A quick jaunt through the answers and one finds useful info, but none of which meets all of your criteria.
I questioned, and still question, your stated objectives, and I am suggesting that they very likely cannot all be met.
And, as of this writing, you didn't thank any of them.
