Can someone plz explain to me how i can delete multiple pics in the stock camera app?? i tried everything i can think of but nothing works. I like the burst shot feature but deleting 19 pics to keep that one good shot is a pain..
Never mind, i figured it out. you have to chose gallery app first then you get option to select multiple pics..

long press on one photo, a blue box will appear around that photo, then tap each other photo you want, click the drop down box in the top right corner and click delete....you can also do the same w/ albums too unless its synced from google plus, then you can't delete any of the picasa albums that are added, only albums that are added because of the camera and downloads

[EDIT] DO NOT USE WITH CM7...IT WILL MESS UP YOUR GALLERY THUMBNAIL
If you are looking for an app to do more than screenshots, the app shootme from the market allows you to save video screen capture. ..video shot or what ever you want to call it.you go on the settings when the apps open and you will see it with the other options

I found it the other day, I just, thought more people should know about

actually if you are using CM7, shootme will mess up your gallery thumbnail.
older picture thumbnail will replaced with screenshot thumbnail.
use PicMe, you can grab picture from your computer via wifi
but your computer and defy must be on same network.
the others is Screen Shot It, just like Shootme,
but it won't messing your CM7 gallery thumbnail.
it's paid one...

Is there any way to change the camera photos to "newest first"? Right now my newer pictures are at the bottom and it takes a while to scroll down
Has anyone tried this, seems to be the for Nexus One though? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=804161
+1 this drives me insane. i have a ton of pics and having to scroll through all of them to see my latest is just stupid
Try QuickPic

It's in the market too but it won't display pics in 3d
I hate this problem too, a workaround is to open the camera app and click the preview box in the corner. That will allow you to view the most recently taken pictures first, and when you switch to grid view it will start at the bottom.
Did you know that, when scrolling through the photos, there is a function similar to what you get in the addressbook (People)? Once you start scrolling and the little scrubber/scroll bar appears, grab it and move it manually. It'll allow you to fly through the images in a second. As you're doing so, it'll even give you a pop up of the date of the photos where you'd be if you stopped scrolling. I hope that helps.
I think the other annoying thing I've seen in every Android phone (or not seen) is the ability to choose a folder before/as you're taking photos where it will save to. On top of this I don't like the HTC photo numbering scheme (image sequence) instead of time stamp as a name. I prefer the time stamp as you don't have to worry about duplicates, repeats, or conflicting names when moving and shuffling photos from phone to phone or computer for backup.
We all had these moments when we just had the opportunity to take the perfect picture, but the camera app slowed us down and we missed it.
Thats why i came up with an idea which will allow you to take photos from your homescreen / anywhere with help of one of the hardware buttons without opening the camera app first.
This is where you guys come in. How do i go on from here and is this something you can achieve with the app tasker?
Would appreciate if you could give your thoughts or put me in the right direction if anything like this already exist!
Im using the galaxy s2 if that would make any difference
Managed to do something almost as good as i want it, its a tasker widget which open the camera and takes a picture.
Its a bit glitchy since it wont take a pic 2 of 5 times and it back out to fast if i add an option to either go home or kill the camera app.
I can post the tasker profile if anyone would like to take a look at it and help me out.
Take pics without opening the camera with tasker + instant upload & auto delete pics
I know this threads pretty old but it doesnt seem to have been fully answered and i wanted this function so... After lookin around i found this post but it didnt do what i wanted, tasker has been updated a lot since this was originally posted so...
A little more googling was done and a while later i came across a way of taking photos without waiting for the camera app to load up...
Create a widget to take a photo instantly without opening the camera by long pressing your home screen for the add dialog, selecting widgets and add a tasker, task widget.
Create a new task and name it
Add a new action - media, take photo
Set parameters - choose camera to use, specify filename, set naming sequence to series/chronological, check discreet for no sounds
*(uncheck 'show in gallery' if using the method described lower down to upload and delete photos with dropsync)
OK this and choose an icon. Then add the widget.
Click widget to take a photo.
A folder named tasker will have been created in /DCIM with the photo in.
I added this as well to save me from filling my phone with photos.
I'm assuming that you have Dropbox already for this...
Download and install DROPSYNC from the play store.
During the setup you will be prompted to link folders -
Link your /DCIM/CAMERA folder on the phone to the Camera Uploads folder of Dropbox
You will be asked what kind of sync you want - set this to upload and delete.
Turn on instant upload and set parameters as desired.
Now your phone will auto upload your camera's pictures straight to Dropbox and then delete the original on the device immediately. Make sure dropsync is not checked in any task killer you have as instant upload may not work.
You can change the dropsync linked folder (or add another if you have pro) to /DCIM/tasker to have your instant snaps instantly uploaded and deleted from handset.
NOTE:
I dont think this requires root access
Hey there, don't post often but I have been having an issue with my i777 and GT-N7000 where pics taken in portrait will be turned sideways when sent via MMS. I have dinked around with it a lot in the last couple days and found a decent solution. Its a 3part fix that needs 3 apps. First download the new Handcent 4.0 (maybe other text apps will work, handcent is just what I am using) then get Camera Zoom FX, and Lightbox. With these three apps you can get around the problem easily.
First open up Camera Zoom FX, go into settings, and under the "Save" menu, check off "Auto Save" (before doing this, none of the photos I was texting were saved in the gallery) Now open up the Camera +Lightbox app that was included in your Lightbox App download. When prompted, choose "Camera Zoom FX" as your default Camera. Now finally, open up handcent and send a picture text. When asked for the default camera to use, choose "Camera + Lightbox" as your default camera.
All your portrait texts should be sent correctly. I searched all over the web for "sideways MMS" and found lots of questions but no answers. If anyone has something easier please advise, otherwise I hope the info above works as well for you as it did for me!

After I take a pic in portrait mode, I go into my gallery and select the picture I just took. Then I hit menu and select edit then crop. I make sure to fit the whole image inside the crop bars as to not cut off any of the picture. Then save. The picture should save as a new image or edited image. Select the saved image to send as MMS and it should stay in portrait mode. Works for me without the need for extra apps. Hope that helps.

Yep, thanks for that. I knew this was possible if you were texting something already in your gallery. My post was more geared to snapping from Handcent (possibly others) and immediately sending without any additional steps. The info above does nothing for sending a pic already in your gallery and you still have to do the crop trick you suggested to get those to go out correctly. This whole issue is so irritating to me, it can't be that hard for Samsung to fix, surely they know about it?!

It's not samsungs fault, as it works fine on a Samsung based Rom. It's using CM7/9 or AOKP where there is an issue.

That's weird. I only have the issue running MIUI or AOKP.
I do not get a delete icon or a trash can to delete photos.

I was confused by this at first too. When you first open the gallery, you'll see a bunch of pictures - but that is an album view. You need to click on the album and that'll take you in to another view. Once you are in that second view, click and hold on the picture you want to delete and it'll get a checkmark near it. When that happens, you'll see a trash icon at the top right.
Take a look at the screenshots I took to help illustrate:
This is a shot of when I first launch the gallery app
Next, I clicked on the "Camera" gallery
Finally, I clicked & held on the image (or video in this case) in the top right. when I did so, it put a checkmark, and you'll see the trash icon in the upper right (checkmark and trash both circled in red.)
I hope this is helpful.

This. I've used it since it was released and it kills every other Gallery app on the market, including the stock Android one.

Are you trying to delete pictures from picasa albums? If so, you can't do this using the gallery app. If you press the menu button, and go to content to display, you can turn off picasa.
