Facebook App? - HTC Amaze 4G

Is anyone experiencing this problem, i cannot post any statuses it says "cannot upload status at this time, please try again later" But i can post from the web, my ipad2, and the phone browser. Does anyone know what might of happened ?

I've been having this same issue today in one of my phones (Xperia Arc)
"cannot upload status at this time, please try again later"
Nothing works: wifi or cel, log off-log in, reinstall app, reset phone... it just won't post a status

This seems to be occurring at an alarming rate all across the world.
Users have reported being unable to "update" their status on Facebook while on their phones.
Total chaos and riots have now broken out ALL OVER THE WORLD because users cannot update their status every 5 minutes.
Local authorities have been completely overrun and are seeking military assistance.
The United Nations has stepped in and a meeting of the world leaders has been schedule to address this global crisis.
UN representative, Ivanna Post made a statement yesterday saying:

Thanks to his solution we now have a work around for the problem that is plaguing the world.

Lol.

The Facebook app in general is big bag of crap. G+ got their UI right even in a beta.
It's been what 3 years now and Facebook still hasn't had a decent update. Rebuild the app from the ground up and they'll get it right.

I got the sms msg but when I confirmed the website said the beta is currently full. I originally signed up the day it was announced. Anyone successfully download it yet? Is it locked to an account or "share-able" ?

just got an email saying ill receive an SMS today (wierd for being almost 7pm already) with my download link. Hopefully ill be using it by the end of the day today

I haven't received any emails or text messages yet, also signed up on the first day.
Just tried the link from the sms again and it worked this time!!! I downloaded and am running skyfire now!!! woohoo!!! went immediately to espn and the flash video player started playing. sweet!!! will test more later. those of you who get the sms try the link again later if it tells you that the beta is full.
so far all I can say is WOW!!! embedded video on web pages is amazing and the overall speed is very impressive. Still very early but impression is very positive.
Congrats at getting the SMS, I signed up for it at around 1:30pm Central time on the 28th, so hopefully I'll get it soon.
Lets see some screen shots plz.
is there any correlation to when people signed up, and who's getting it first? i just looked through my emails, and i received my confirmation email at 10:00am central time Jan 28th. But no beta for me yet

I doubt that it will work. They give you a code or something, and you have to create an account. Getting a CAB probably wont allow just anyone to create an account.

Well, got my SMS today as well, downloaded it onto the phone I signed up with (personal Wizard/TMO MDA with T-Zones) and it d/l and installs without a hitch, but must communicate over some other port than port 80 or 8080 with their servers, as it can not connect.
Then put the CAB on my work phone (Herald/TMO Wing with full unlimited web), installs and launches, but then stops with an error message that the system authorization is invalid...
Guess I should have signed up for the beta with the work phone number...did not even think of that, as Opera Mini works great with the T-Zones plan...

Wow -- I signed up just a couple of days ago and I got it earlier today.

yeah, once more folks get this we need a rom without PIE and with skyfire built in. It will definitely be my browser of choice now. Have you tried any exchange sharepoint pages or outlook web access? It won't let me type in the username and password dialog for some reason. otherwise everything works great especially embedded video. have visited lots of video sites and all works great, even better than my desktop.
I got the beta too. Works pretty well but a little slow for me. Might be the area I'm in though.
Checked YouTube out of curosity and it played a video right then nothing else added.

After Gingerbread install when I get a text message from one of my contacts (some work fine) I cannot reply, the sender isn't listed and this is displayed in the reply box (which is greyed out):
"A valid address is required to send this message."

I bought an Atrix 4G on 9-1-2011 from AT&T store Jacksonville, FL. Began receiving this message on ONE (1) text ... whenever I get a text from this one user in IL, I cannot reply as no reply info is available in the data packet.
ALL other texts, so far, have the reply info and I can reply & they can reply to my texts.
AT&T Customer Service was NO help ... most of the CSR-s had no idea what this message was about and even the Tech Support had no idea.
We did these things:
* deleted all text chains
* deleted the contact completely
* reset the phone to factory specs
* imported all contacts except the offending contact
* manually re-entered the contact
NO good - still got the message
As of 9/14/2011, AT&T gave me a new phone thinking maybe a hardware error.
NOPE. Still has the error.
Now convinced error is in the 2.3.4 operating system so must wait on the "highly responsive" Google crowd to fix it. Not holding my breath. Despite what a bunch of folks say, I think the Apple i4 and soon to be i5 phones are the better choice --- Google is scrambling to keep up with Apple & over time will fail for more glitches than Apple.
If anyone has a fix for this condition, please let me know.

Those are some bold words for your first post on a forum for discussing an Android phone. I like how you state your end conclusion without any kind of logical thought patterns. I do however agree with you that the Apple phone is prob the best choice for YOU. And btw I use Android & iOS and wouldnt give up either.

One of the Rom kernel combos I tried fixed this but not the one I am on currently. (and I don't remember which one) The contact where this is a problem has an older phone.
It is a little bit of a nuisance but not nearly enough to turn me into an apple fanboy My daughter has a 4g and I have no use for that phone....

Amazing - I ask a simple questiion at the end - and get a sarcastic response from a senior member of the thread. BTW - I DID contact Google after posting, and their reply was it is a known bug but not worth immediate fix - perhaps in a future release. Go Android !!! Hey - I bought long term options on BOTH Google and Apple ... it's just a phone, not my life. And I have made quite a bit of money from BOTH companies to enjoy my life better - which I am doing. Suggest you try it too.
It might be that you need an area code. Call me crazy but I think this happened to me way back, and the way I resolved it was adding an area code to make it a 10 digit number.

I think the problem with XDA facebook app is guaranteed on the server side of Facebook. They did recently change and upfated their site and I bet it may have something to do with it.
I noticed though that there have been display problems whenever I open Facebook Mobile in my Opera Browser on my HD2. I have to tap on the facebook link to send me home again and then it seems to load and work, but it does take longer to load onto the webpage.
I was thinking that since the XDA app is not updated for the new facebook that could be a factor but i can be wrong. I wanted to provide some logic.
I hope maybe someone else can shed any light.

m.facebook.com doesn't even load at all in my Opera browser.
touch.facebook.com doesn't even load correctly in my Opera browser.
These problems have only recently happened over the past few weeks. Thought it was down to the handset, so did a HARD RESET, and started from scratch... but that didn't seem to fix this problem.
I Have noticed that Sense Facebook Update stop work too.
No more Sense update for some time.
I believe that Facebook changes are not compatible with all platforms that use too interact with it.
This way, many will stop work. This are my thoughts...

1:-how to remove Note from my Account ..?
2:-mostly my google account used on phone ...so how can someone hacked my account thru my phone ?

There is a way to remove....maybe try to right click...I don't remember,but I know I removed my mom's phone too,since she hadn't a Google account...So it's possible.Search on the internet.

Can't be done, sorry! So many people are pissed off about this, but Google is not listening (big surprise, eh?)... You can only make a device invisible in your selections by unchecking it, but can't remove it altogether.
I remember reading somewhere that old devices would disappear after being inactive with your account after some time, but I can't find that info right now. I believe they were talking about either 6 months or a year, but I still have a couple of old phones listed that I sold, one of them last used in Sep 2012. So, I guess, I will check again in Sep 2013...

No answer from google yet... And yes I can only delete a phone after inactivity at least 6 months to one year... Previously I removed one of my phone after 7 months

Venmo asks for Superuser acces on rooted Nougat Galaxy S6 Edge+

So, not sure where to post this, but I recently rooted my device and noticed that Venmo asks for superuser access, and this has me really confused; as I've looked online and haven't found anything. I reached out to Venmo support but haven't gotten a reply, all I was told by the person I chatted with was "I've never seen this before" and she said she'd send it to the tech team. That's really Weird.
Happened The same To Me On a A50 But Google Clock Was asking for Root Access
God Rest His Soul As Soon As I granted It.**** Got Loose and my Phone Became Useless After Two or Three months.
Apparently a Full Flash Solved The Issue.I assumed As It was a Virus.
The Solution Would be Uninstall and Reinstall The Apps.
Or Grant Em And Log em.

I'm not gonna grant access, cause I don't want to give it unnecessary access, specially cause it just feels fishy to me that it would ask for access..
