Hello,
I love android and my SGS3 but there is no build-in option to compress video for sending by Email.
And on Google Play, there is no app to make this.
I have tested VidTrim Pro but it is buggy, and with Video compress same problem with mp4.
No solution found for French users
And I can't download Samsung Video Maker (blocked for my country) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1755337
Use Dropbox, Youtube is not practical and fast
This option is included on iPhone since the 2g model, It is strange that Google has forgotten to do this
Same question here, this is really driving me mad...

this phone is starting to get frustrating!!!
so how come i can not upload a video straight to facebook directly using the built-in camcorder software. There is the option for youtube, but not facebook!
If you are suggesting third party software...this is so much more inconvenient! This means after taking say 5 videos, I have to open another program and search for each one, one by one...and then upload it?
Don't think this has anything to do with the phone itself. It's the facebook app that doesn't support it.
iPhone 4
everyone says the iPhone 4 is easier to use than android...i wonder if the iphone 4 allows users to send videos directly to facebook using the built-in camcorder software.
GPS issues and battery life with the Vibrant...now this, is making me think about switching to the iphone 4.
I am thinking buying this phone and found conflicting posts regarding Skype support.
Can Skype be installed from the market for the X8?
If so, does free Skype to Skype voice calling work?
How is the voice quality on the X8? Is it choppy?
Thank you.
I can reply the first question no more jaja, yes it can, do you need the "Market Enabler" (download it from the market) and choose T-Mobile and you will see all apps from the market, search for skype and voila!
greetings sorry for my english jaja
for Market Enabler do you need a rooted phone

I use skype from time to time, but it drains the battery even offline, so when I'm not using it, I uninstall it. I called via wifi, and quality was great!
There are lots of apps like skype on market, whatApp, Nimbuzz...

It depends on your location, whether or not the market supports it. As for quality, yeah, it's great. The Skype Voice to Voice works (No video calling), and chat works like a charm. You can get it off of freewarelovers(dot)com, where there's a repository of free apps. Also, based on your connection, that's how your call quality will be.
Skype 3.0 chat and call.
I searched for skype the first day I bought my X8, some people on forums have problem finding it the market( some countries do not have full apps on the market). The alternative is to enable your phone to install apps from unknown places, then download it from brothersoft.com/mobile and install form SDcard.
Skype is working like a charm, chat, calls, skypeout.
Try using this link. You need wifi/3G active on your phone and you must be logged into your google account(be on market), and you can install it directly, by clicking install from the site.
Hi,
My Galaxy S2 is unrooted and it is running Android 2.3.3.
What app do I need to video call over Wi-Fi? I've tried Skype and Google Talk but I cannot find this option?
Do I have to update to Android 2.3.4 to enable video calling via Skype or Google Talk?
Many thanks for your help.
Correct..... in theory you should be on 2.3.4 to use video on google talk, however, you can install a custom rom (needs root) to have this on google talk feature, I dont think you can use google video feature without root at this time in moment until 2.3.4 is released..
I use rom "lightning" that has this feature, never used it tho because everyone I know doesnt have it ..
Also what was not mentioned:
Skype on Android does not yet support video calling (except for the htc thunderbolt).
Currently you have two good options I think:
- Root your phone. Then either apply a custom rom that already has the latest google talk app included that supports video calling or install the latest google talk app yourself (without custom rom).
- Try out Tango. Among the video calling apps that are available on Android this seemes to deliver one of the best video quality. Alternatively you can give Fring a try.
Skype has video calling with the samsung galaxy s2.
Open Skype, Then touch the menu button on the phone, press settings, then scroll down to Video calls and check Eneble video calling and adjust the setting for it.
It works, I use it. Enjoy.

there is a cracked version that supports some HTC Thunderbolt roms/radios
i was able to download skype, audio support only, no video features yet but its ok, i can live with that
Bump. Any update on this? Has anyone been able to provide a cracked version of Skype speficially for the Tab?
So are there any uses for the front facing camera at this time?
Hard to believe that Skype has not yet come out with a video version for Android!
Skype with video does work with select android devices. I had it working with my old 7 inch Galaxy Tab but not with the new one. No one has been able to get it to work in Honeycomb yet.

He's right. I have Skype with videochat working on my Samsung Epic, doesn't work for my 10.1 though.
I desperately wish Skype (or something) would work. My GF lives in the Philippines and it'd be great to be able to walk around the house and whatnot video chatting from the GTab.
Use the google talk app. That has decent video chat capabilities.
Google talk has video support.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App

There is a modded version of the video skype apk for "other" devices around these forums somewhere. (search it). BUt it requires neon/vfp or somesuch not supported by the tegra2 cpu.
Skype and tegra2
check this youtube video, sorry i am new and doesn't allow me to post the link,
go to youtube and type in the search bar, skype for Tegra 2.
You will see a nvidia tablet running honeycomb 3.0 running a video conference, no idea where to get that apk, but obviously is around.
if somebody find it please pass around and send me a message
any news on this? I don't like google talk.
I tried the Skype on my galaxy tab 10.1 ...no video...
Hi, youtube gives you the option to load video in high quality while on mobile web and not wifi
But I can't find the option anywhere for images in general (i.e. google images and facebook etc)
Does anyone know how to do it?
