If someone writes an app and intends to steal google passwords, and puts it on the app store, and people download it, can they get all those people's google passwords?
For example I see several gmail notifier apps. When asking to install it, the phone notifies me that it has access to my gmail password. So what's to stop a thief from creating an app and stealing passwords this way?
Yes I posted this in the general android forums but got no responses, so rather than bumping it there I thought I'd try here.
guys
is there a way to delete my history of installed apps?
Apps that I might have installed months ago and since uninstalled still show up in my history in Google play
How do I delete this history?
Only Google can do that for you.

We can "Report this" on Deleting apps from My Apps/My Orders in Know issues
The more people who do, most will be taken into account
The more we push, the more they'll hear

I may be in the wrong forum area or section, but a quick question here regarding the Gmail app on Android devices.
Whenever using the Gmail app, I had to Sign-On using my Gmail username/password only once.
From a security point of view, there is no logout button on the Gmail app itself.
So is there anyway to logout and log back in again to my Gmail app?
I know I can still access Gmail within or from the browser, but I want to use the Gmail app instead.
And Auto Sync is OFF.
I am running Android 4.2.2 on a Samsung Galaxy S4.
If this is the wrong topic area here, please move it somewhere in an appropriate forum section for this.
Thanks

Hi,
I had this problem too and there was only one way I could fix it.
Install Google Search v2.6 and update it later if you want.
Cheers.
