I have the Sprint Galaxy S III and having a heck of a time with blue tooth and my Infiniti M37x.
Sometimes I have to manually turn it on when I get in the car and sometimes it is there working great.
I had a difficult time getting my contacts to sync with my car.
I think that the contacts are finally synced but every time I get in the car I get a chime asking me if it OK to send my contact information to my car.
When I had my HTC EVO, it NEVER asked me that, this phone asks me every time I get into the car. This morning, I clicked OK and clicked NEVER ASK ME AGAIN and I lost all my contacts from my car's phone directory.
Is there a way to stop this annoying message from popping up yet retain my contact information in my car??
Hope this makes sense.

Hello one and all.
Did I read somewhere that the voice control on this phone can read out texts?
Or did I dream this somewhere while inhabiting a paralell universe?
If it can then how do you get it to do it?
Thanks
I read that too, here...

I don't have my SGS2 yet. I'm getting it tomorrow, so I can't try this out for myself yet.
I have had a text message while in the mode and it read out the number but not the text.
I does read back your text after you have dictated it before it sends it.
One more thing.
The 'hey galaxy' start is a bit hit and miss.
Any tips on how to say 'hey galaxy' correctly so the phone turns on straight away.
Thanks
You need to enable driving mode for it to read out the number to you. Am actually not sure if it can read out the text itself- just said that based on several posts I read on here.
You should say Hi Galaxy (thats what's suggested) not Hey (both works fine for me though).
Sent from my GT-I9100
I have tried both and tried different levels of voice but it seem a bit intermittant.
Another thing.
When I turn it on and put the phone in its cradle the mic seem very very sensative and is picking up noises in the car and thinks I want to do something.
If I manage to wake it up and say something, the level indicator stays at the top as it is picking background noise up and thinks I am still talking.
I have tried it in a quiet room and when I get it to wake up it works a treat but in the car I am assuming its picking up driving noises.
Any tips?
Hello all,
Most of the time when I connect my Note to my MINI with MINI Connected (Nav, Pandora interface, Vehicle diagnostic interface, etc), it reboots the phone. It's not instant, sometimes the music will start playing, the car will confirm that the phone directory is updated, and I might even receive a message, but it usually reboots at some point. Once it reboots it usually is ok for the rest of the trip, even after disconnecting and leaving the car.
Yesterday, it started rebooting after disconnecting as well; once again, not every time...just did it yesterday at the mall and this morning when leaving my car for work.
This morning after it rebooted when leaving the car for work, I turned off the voice talk "Connect on Bluetooth" option to see if that does anything, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone has heard anything else.
Thanks!
Update:
So yesterday I rooted my Note and loaded Titanium backup and froze some services I thought might be causing issues. NOGO there.
I also repaired the phone as my primary (which syncs the phonebook) phone and with media audio. NOGO.
Next I repaired with just audio. NOGO
This morning I repaired as a secondary phone (no phonebook). So far so good. On the ride home today I'll pair as primary phone again and see if it stays.
Just got my new HTC Amaze and loving it so far. However, I use a Kenwood X695 headunit in my car for handsfree calling. About every 30 seconds it tries to automatically download my phonebook from the Amaze.
This used to happen with my Evo3D and Evo4G, but it would only try once when the head unit was initially turned on, and never again. With the amaze is it literally every 30 seconds. I have tried chooseing Automatically Disable on the phone itself when it pops up the request for the download. Ive tried selecting "Disable automatic sync" on the head unit. Nothing seems to stop it.
Im told the ultimate root of this problem comes down to the PBAP (Phone Book Automatic Profile) within Android. I need to disable this. Does anyone know how to do this? Right now Im on stock unrooted. If I need to, I will root the phone and try a different rom. But I need to discover how to disable this. Any and all help is appreciated here. Thanks!
Weirdest thing happened today. First, I got a notification that some apps had updates. Tried to update them and got a message saying they couldn't be found and to try later. OK, I was going out so no biggie. Get in my truck and the BT pairs with it like always except that during the drive I got a phone call and it did not get routed to the truck, just rang in my pocket. Weird, but I suspected it was an issue with the truck. Get home and go to access my Chase account using their app and get a message saying the bank does not recognize my phone and needs to send a confirmation. Apparently there is something strange going on with my phone that has nothing to do with my truck. Rebooted and immediately got the notification to update 2 apps. Did so without issue and no problem accessing my bank. What would cause the phone to forget ID data needed for things like BT or app access? My phone is rooted stock and have had zero problems with it since December when I got it.
I am now on my third hands free car kit with my S3 and get the same issue with every one. I pair my phone. Connect my phone and it works ok for some time, could be an hour could be days. When working properly I press button on hands free kit to make voice call. Get a small sound to alert me to speak name of whom I want to call. When it works, it will then call the person I say. When it goes wonky, as it does, regularly, I press the button on hands free and await the signal to say the name. This time however, the sound that is made sounds all distorted and although the svoice screen appears on screen, it does not recognise what I say. I can receive incoming calls and answer them by pressing button at all times it just seems somehow to screw up the Bluetooth function every now and again. I have reset phone, did upgrades, (official ones, not rooted) and still happens. Anyone any ideas what issue is. As I mentioned it has happened with three different hands free kits I have bought so definitely the phone. Thanks for any help.
