Hi everyone.. ive done numerous searches and it seems like most wifi issues are based on kernel matching.
if i go into my settings to turn on wifi. it shows that it turns on. with my old rom 1.1 predatorunity it would show turning on for like 5min then error now im running 1.6 and it shows ON. which is good news but then i go into it and it shows no networks. so i turn it off and actually go into wifi and turn it on from the wifi network and on the black screen backdrop just shows "turning on Wi-Fi..." and thats it.
how can i find out which kernel would work properly with my rom? (sorry noob question)

I installed Eclipse 0.5 on my DX2 earlier this week and initially things have been great. The ROM is super stable and everything works, except for wifi. When I go to turn on Wifi it goes through the Turning On stage and then appears to be on. But when I go into the Wi-Fi settings page no networks are listed. And after about 30 seconds the Wifi turns itself off. There is no error displayed, and it does this regardless of where I am. I've tried it at home, at work, and in public so it doesn't seem like it's a router issue. Any ideas?
This is no help, but I haven't had this issue. I'm sure someone will know what's up...
Hello guys! I have a really annoying problem with my S3. I use tasker to turn on/off wifi with cell near feature. The problem is that when I get home, the wifi turns on but it won't connects until I unlock the screen. As soon I unlock the screen it connects. This problem I had it with all the roms past 4.0.3 and I really don't want to come back to 4.0.3 only for this issue. I have UltimaROM v8.1.1 Ifrit on it, and I tried with the stock XXELLA kernel, with the Phenomenal kernel and others I can't remember all now.
The setting "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" is set to always.
I made the "*#0011#" thing and put the WiFi Power Save Mode to off and don't make any difference. BTW after restart this changes back to ON.
There must be a solution for this. Thank guys for any piece of advice!
I am running Liquid Smooth 3.2 for months now. I format it regularly just to get a new sense of speed after downloading junk i shouldnt have to begin with. Recently i have been formating to fix my WiFi issue. It seems like when i connect wifi (turn it on) it simply doesnt connect (it doesnt turn from grey to white or blue) it just stays grey. WHen i look at the list of wifi available it says its connected but i receive no data. After a while it seems to syncronize and the wifi works. I used to think if i turn on 4g and wifi together it seems to speed it up. All speculation, the only fact is WiFi isnt working upon engaging it. Reboot fixes it untill i turn wifi off (or it the AP goes unavailable for extended period of time, it doesnt seem associated with turning it off and on.)
Any suggestions? I have tried backdating to .09 radio. It doesnt seem to fix it.

My HTC One keeps reconnecting to wifi after I've turned it OFF. I go into settings and turn wifi off, and it automatically turns it back on after 30 seconds to a minute. It's eating my battery and I can't figure out if there is an app or something in settings that triggers wifi to turn on!!

Also I'm on T Mobile and I don't have a data plan so I keep mobile data turned OFF. However there is always a 4g icon that shows up in the status bar. I don't think it's actually using any data but kind of strange that it never goes away.
Hi I have a problem with keeping my wifi on . As soon as the screen gets locked wifi is getting paused. I have checked the wifi settings and it is in always on .
Any installed apps that can do this?
