Hi guys. Just wondering if everyone else has noticed what I have. Ever since I hooked up my sph-l710 to my comp and it did its driver install my videos I play on my comp pause when I make or receive phone calls. Even when my phone isn't connected to my comp. That is a kinda cool feature. However I am wondering how is that possible when my desktop doesn't have any receiver type peripherals. It is like magic lol.

I know everyone don't have a playstation... ever since I switched to cm from blur I cannot play music through Xbox... Ive asked on cm page to no avail so I figured new post! I can't be the only one right???

I've had the same issue, its pretty much like it doesn't even notice the phone is plugged into it, my zune on the other hand works great.

Doesn't work, it freezes and reboots your phone if you can get it to work.

Yea its weird, works on PS3 but that recognizes music in a totally different way

Don't hate on something cause its better then what you got, its unbecoming.
Btw i have both and yes 360 (i have an elite model, even though there is nothing elite about it) sucks major hard to both my slim and fat ps3.
The only reason why i wrote this is cause i hate statements like that. Its only allowed against apple.

I don't own either gaming consoles so what I'm about to say could be rubbish.
It could be due to the CM7 mappings of the sdcard. Stock Blur assigns the cards as /sdcard and /sdcard-ext whereas CM7 assigns them as /emmc and /sdcard respectively. Could it be possible that the 360 is connecting to the /sdcard-ext, which does exist in CM7 but is not mapped and empty?
Another issue, although unlikely, is that Blur also has the ability to transfer via the MTP protocol and the 360 being Microsoft is looking for that protocol vs the standard MSC that CM7 uses. I would assume standard USB sticks work fine in the 360 which use MSC. The Zune, again I assume, would connect via MTP. Then again, Blur also can connect via MSC. Just a thought.
PS: Unsure what MTP/MSC is, Google it. I'm too tired and lazy to explain!

PlayStation glory days were ps2. The 360 outdoes the ps3 in almost every meaningful category. To add a little bit of on topic. I agree with the emmc mapping messing it up. But that doesn't explain why you can't access sd-card its the same on both roms?

Um the SD card is emmc. 8gb. But the partition labled SD is just that, a partition of the internal now labled SD card...(I believe) and I'm sure the space is limited ... I know we can solve this problem. Let me do a lil research ...

Doesnt cm7 use the flip flop? On cm7 you can't use sd-extended at all as far as I know.

Does flip flop. You can use the partition SD & SD ext. But the Xbox wont recognize my phone as USB device ....

So I just received my new mhl adapter. Any tips for making it work? I have never used one and am looking for what players it works with and possibly what roms it does and doesn't work on.

Only sense 3.6 roms has it running now but Newt is fixing it on Sense 4. The rest have it broken as well, Miui, cm9,..etc.
And it's a great buy, comes very handy if you want to share a video with a room full of people or presentation or some pics or something. I loved it!
And it will broadcast anything on your screen, including the launcher.
Because of the way MHL via USB works, it can't signal the availability of full capacity USB charging. So, the Rezound won't pull more than 500 mA. As a result, your phone will probably end up discharging when using MHL. Make sure it's fully charged before using it for any length of time.

Hi, as the title says am interested to stream my desktop games to my android phone , maybe even play from it using a wireles mouse and keyboar but the streaming is the one thats important to me right now .
Im using an motorola atrix ,and my pc is enough fast and the internet is also pretty fast (7 down ,3 mbits upload )

You may want to look into Splashtop paid app. That one has audio and video support and I once played plant vs zombie from my pc using my galaxy Note.
Your experience may defer depending on both PC and phone hardware. Do some read up on it.

Splashtop is the best option but you will get max of 30fps (well that's my experience) so its not entirely smooth. I think splashtop 2 is better but it is tablet only.

Hey, I just bought a mhl cable off amazon with the intentions of using it to play games with my phone on my TV. When I hook the cable all up (HDMI end to my TV, usb to charger, and micro usb to phone) all I get is a notification telling me I'm connected to a video out source.
Also, when I expand the notification I'm told to start a video or slide show to view on an external monitor, which also doesn't work, and all my apps open in landscape even if I'm holding the phone upright.
I'm running newts sense 5 rom too. I actually wanted to post this in his thread but I guess I can't without 10 posts.

How about trying it on a stock based Rom to see if it works?
I have Viper ROM. I plug in the MHL and HDMI cable and it just automatically mirrors everything to the TV. I don't have to change any settings.
my mhl works on viper but I haven't been able to get it to work on newts rom with any of the kernals so im assuming it just that rom that wont work

Are you sure the cable you bought is compatible with our device? I have been looking into this also and on radioshack.com and there are different cables for HTC phones and Samsung which is what I needed. Something about the pins in the micro ish.

Yeah, I made sure it was the 5 pin model. I'm thinking it's a software issue like everyone else did. I'll post my results after I test it on a stock based rom. :thumbup:

Alright, so I flashed ViperDNA and as soon as I plugged the mhl cable into my phone everything locked up and I had to do a hard reboot to get it working again. I'm not sure what that's all about, but could someone point me towards a mhl cable that they've personally confirmed works for our phone?

Alright, so I reflashed ViperDNA and then flashed Beastmode 5.0 and now everything's working great. Well except I can't get out of landscape mode while mirroring my phone to the TV but I just figured it was supposed to do that.

No, my phone does everything mirrored. Portrait or landscape.
My phone switches between portrait and landscape as well
I just use the media link and works fine for both roms

yeah this also happens to me but only when im running the beastmode kernel, no matter what rom im on. Changing kernel has worked for me but I would really like to get it working on sense 5. Also a sidenote, I Loose all signals (3g,4g,wifi and gps) randomly while my MHL cable is plugged in. Does this happen to you?
