I have a user of my app that says the "search" for fonts feature isn't working correctly on the Prime. He says that its not finding installed fonts. I'm not sure the full details, but any testing would be appreciated!
Can some of you test this for me? The seach should pick up any system app fonts, the Banner fonts itself as well as any/all installed apps that contain font resources.

Well it searched through 183 apps and appeared to add fonts. However, I'm not sure which apps have fonts and which do not. Can you give me an example of an app with custom fonts that your program would add?

My stock fonts range from ALIAS.TTF to WESTERN.TTF (and serif). The list is in alphabetical order, but by app groups. So anything before or after ALIAS.TTF and WESTERN.TTF should be "other" app's fonts. Any market font package like 100 Fonts, GoFonts, PicSay, etc should load up after a system search.
Well, I found after and before the two you mention, but the fonts do not appear to be in alphabetical order. I've attached a screenshot.
That's what I was looking for. I'm going to email my user this thread and see if he can better explain. to me that is exactly correct. Maybe its a certain font set he is looking for that isn't working.

I saw a couple of screenshots with text used instead of the icons and/or folders. If its an app what is it? I have the minimalistic text.

Post up the screen shot you are referring to, I'm not sure what you are looking at.
If you are reffering to icons that say "phone" instead of a picture of a phone it's just a simple png file. ADW and LauncherPro(i think) allow for icon changes. Widget Locker also allows custom icons. The files are all over the net, look in the Android section of xda, they have a huge Icon thread.
Danny has a theme that uses text for the main screen instead if Icons, looks pretty nice, after unzipping the file you can use what you need if you don't want the entire thing.

I think this is what you're looking for: http://www.mediafire.com/?bi6xcug62hktann. I didn't make these, just found them using a google search.
As was mentioned, you need a launcher that allows you to change the icon image. For example, long press on a dock icon in launcher pro and select "change icon," then you can select any icon you've put on your sd card.
Hope that helps.
You can try the texticons app in the market. Seems to work with most roms and launchers.
If you still need some, I have about 160.
Edit, here they are. From XDA, can't recall who to credit.

Man HTC has the ICS all wonky. I love have they have png's and then on ICS they have JPG's mixed in which look like crap when trying to theme. Anyways please see attached SS on the isettings screen. I cannot find the correct APK containing the launcher icon. It is not in the browser.apk. Any help would be great.
Thanks!

I already hit that, that is what I thought too but the icon did not change. Ahhhh
Thanks for the reply bro
hrm. yeah HTC went all crazy with where stuff is, now...I would think it would be in settings, or htc resources, but its not there either.
Bump
Still need help on the following. The one below is the settings screen system updates icon. The only one that is in the apk I have skinned and it has not changed. I have checked framework too and cannot seem to locate it.
The last one is the call mobile icon which I circled and the background mask image behind the text messaging icon. I know that one is in the skin but I am not sure the name of the resource icon. Any help would be great.
Thanks!
I haven't taken a look yet, but I will when I get home.

Well, I've been searching the name of this font and I found it today:good:
Root is needed to copy the fonts to system/fonts. I use ES File Explorer so I can't give precise instructions on how to install them with Root Explorer. They change all the Fonts, including most apps. (Download Attached)

Before installing these fonts you must make a backup of the fonts folder (the entire folder), then if you no longer want the fonts just copy-paste the fonts folder. I don't know whats wrong with ICS but the fonts can only be changed once or twice, then they no longer change so make a copy of the folder before installing these.
nice share tnx
Using this app would be alot easier to switch between fonts if interested
i really love in it!
thx ma8!

Hi
I'm looking for a slide-out app or a widget or whatever, that resembles Action launcher's alphabetical app drawer. Aviate Launcher has something like this too. I love this for quickly finding an app I want. I'm really liking Themer for my launcher though, and want to keep using that.
Any suggestions?
Looks like this:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Seems easy to add. Hope they do it soon.
I second that for more customization options like that. User with less app will find this is not a big deal for them, but for those with a lot of apps with find it useful. There's folder options that we can sit related apps inside to separate each of the types but this customization will add more juice, of course. :good:

It puts wallpapers on your Lockscreen depending on your interests like "night sky", "travel" or your own gallery etc. It then downloads and updates new wallpapers every 3 or 6 or 12 etc hours depending on what you set it to.
