Hello,
I did a factory reset while using KA Rom 21, now I've a bootloop.
I tried to flash my neo, but the usb debugging is not enabled so I can't flash it.
The cache etc. is also whiped, but I've still a bootloop.
Does anybode know what to do now? Can I enable the usb debugging, or something else?
Do I need to install a new kernel?
I'm sorry for my bad English.

Just flash another kernel, like the Alliance Kernel mod, which is compatible with KA Rom, and try to restart your phone. If you still get bootloop, just flash the whole .62 rom package via Flashtool to go back to gingerbread and start over the whole progress again.

I flashed a custom rom which needed a custom kernel (but i did not install the kernel), now my x10 mini pro freezes at the white sony ericsson logo, i tried loading the flash recovery but it does not load.
This is the link to the rom:-forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026
Its my fault for not reading the instructions properly, if i flash the nAa kernel using flashtool will the problem be solved or is there a different process
Please help me, the help will be really appreciated.
try using seus or pc companion
Are you on stock kernel, right?
Try flahsing stock ROM using Flashtool and see if it works.

So now it seems you're back to stock. Yay!
Did you fully reset the phone after going back to stock? It seems they're not installing because you don't have Superuser permission anymore.
It happened to me when I tried to flash MiniCM7. So I flashed the full stock ROM via Flashtool and managed to get root accees again, so I was able once again to install CWM.

First you need to ROOT (this installs "Superuser" application)
Download SuperOneClick [ http://dl.dropbox.com/u/64062539/s4a...lickv2.3.1.zip ]
You NEED to put your phone on USB Debugging mode
Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging (enable)
You NEED to make sure the Android drivers for your phone are installed. SE PcCompanion has this drivers embeded
[ http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/ ]
Make sure you DO NOT mount your SD card
Click ROOT on SuperOneClick,
Voila... your phone is Rooted

The main idea is to restore your framework-res.apk. U can use aroma explorer if you have installed CWM from boot. If u havent, u should unlock your bootloader, there are several methods, i would suggest the unofficial through s1 tool with testpoint. Do you have a custom ROM build, or the official that came with your phone?
Take your battery off, start flashtool, put battery back in DO NOT power up.
Connect to pc when flashtool tells you holding back button.

thanks guys for replying.
but I don't want to unlock bootloader. so I flashed it completely using flash tool. And had to give-up my all app updates. Now working fine...
Install cwm this time, even if your staying on stock, so that if something like this happens again, atleast it's easier to recover without loosing data.

dont forget to wipe the phone before flash the new one
Try using flashtool and downloading generic 4.0.4, if that doesnt work use SEUS as last resource
Download ftf file for your phone and flash it using flashtool.

You should wipe data and cache at first, then install the ROM along with the gapps with it!

What about boot loop then?

That's the first mistake I did. But how do I go into recovery or download mode now? It is stuck in bootloop. Please help me get out of bootloop. Thanks
Go to recovery mode, wipe phone completely ( cache, data, dalvik cache, battery stat if you want to ), then flash your rom. it will be fine
back to cwm again.

Thanks. I just did that. I flashed it but it came back to CWM again.
please help.
after reboot it came back to recovery ? Okay if it so. try these :
1. do as i said earlier + before flashing rom, after wiping phone , go to mounts and storage and formate /system, /data and /cache manually. then flsah rom and reboot.
if this didn't work,
2. then as the first comment on this page says, download ftf file (rom) for your device and flash it via flashtool. all instructions will be given when you'll select to flash ftf . dont worry this will work definitely.
but sorry i haven't asked you earlier, you have locked bootloader or unlocked ? because if you'r using wrong kernel which is not for the rom, you'll get bootloops.if on wrong kernel, try flashing right kernel for your device. good luck
My friend followed the steps given in the following link to install CM-9 on his phone.
Cyanogenmod 9 on Xperia S
Once he did a data wipe, he rebooted the phone and left it for a couple of minutes. It remained stuck at the bootloader for around 15 minutes. He then proceeded to try to try the whole thing again. While the fastboot flashing was successful, while trying to install the cm9-nozomi zip file, he got the following error:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")=="LT26i"||getprop("ro.build.product")=="LT26i"||(getprop("ro.product.device")=="LT26a"||getprop("ro.build.product")=="LT26a"||getprop("ro.product.device")=="nozomi"||getprop("ro.build.product")=="nozomi"
Status 7
He's also tried mounting the system partition via mounts and storages and it shows mount failed. The same is the result for data, cache, etc.
He's now stuck at boot, but is able to access fastboot and recovery mode. The problem is that clockworkmod doesn't support USB OTG Mount and that even if I can modify the update script to not check for the script, I have no way of sending it into the phone.
Any suggestions, solutions or the like would be highly appreciated

Try flashing back to stock to minimize the issues. Then flash via fastboot a rooted Kernel. Enter into CWM wipe Dalvik Cache first, then flash CM9. If bootloop still occurs try flashing Krab's kernel for CM9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808831. By the way what Kernel are you using?

How would I flash back to stock if I'm unable to access the sd-card?

Ok so no need to flash back to stock, as you've mentioned you're on stock right now. You can flash via fastboot Advanced Stock Kernel by Arakmar or any Kernel that has CWM. Then you wipe Dalvik Cache and now you can install CM9. I stated on my earlier post that you can try flashing Krab's kernel for CM9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1808831.

I was willing to try out CM 9.1 ROM I unlocked the bootloader as per steps everything went well. When I reboot it shows FXP logo and then it is stuck at Xperia logo. Since its battery is not removable I have to wait until it all drains out and charge again and get it into working mode. I could go into recovery and flash CM 9.1 but even from there when I reboot it now stuck up at CM logo same as Stock Xperia logo.
I have emma, flashtool and SUS but I cannot get my phone into flashboot or flashmode as nothing happens with volume key combination. When I connect using USB cable it shows RED LED light and once charged up I can get it into recovery mode...
I gave phone to sony repair somehow they are able to get into flashmode... however they say they might not be able to repair it as using Emma it doesn't flash stock ROM.
I am quite sure sony is going to return me handset without repair, any help would really save my brand new Xperia S from going into vain, Thanks a lot in advance!!!
Edit: nvm I didn't see previous posts

hi everyone
i flashed stock 4.1.2 DDLS3 firmware via odin. (no root)
I rooted my s2 i9100g by http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2065581 .
1. flashed SU-BB-Installer.zip for root
2. flashed B_Safe_Kernel_DDLS3_TWRP.zip: for cwm
Done sucessfully.
3. flashed SU-BB-Unstaller.zip for unroot
4. again flashed SU-BB-Installer.zip for root
(last two steps since I want to take it to service center for some speakers problem)
Now I am rooted twrp recovery. But could not install any rom with twrp/temp_cwm. Even i clicked usb debugging but when i connect it to pc it shows only "connected as a media device" no usb debugging connected messege. And I tried to flash stock firmware again via odin--> it showed added then some progress then pass . phone rebooted but no new stock firmware(still with same last system, settings, apps).
Any one please help. root checker apps says rooted successfully.
Hi,
don´t understand you quiet well. If you have this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293576 then you have a custom recovery and install (flash) new roms via cwm (install zip from...).
Du you flash one-part firmwares via odin? Try after flashing a factory reset in the recovery.

Yes I am with the same kernel but whenever i tried to flash a new rom via recovery mod it gives status 7 error and says md5 file not found type thing. I did full data wipe but still same error. I think my USB debugging is not on even I checked it. May it a problem for flashing rom via recovery. I tried to flash again stock DDLS3 firmware via odin, it seems that odin did his work fine(it shows phone added+someprocess+pass) but phone is still with old system.

Hi,
Status 7 is a kernel problem, so maybe your kernel isnt compatibl with miui.
Tried this on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1605655 ?

Hi guys!
So, today i unlocked the bootloader, but after that the Play Store stopped working.
The phone tells me that Google Play Services have stopped working, and can't do nothing.
In some cases the error doesn't show up, and the Play Store tells me that my phone is not connected to internet (wich is not true)
I have rooted the phone too, how can i solve this problem?
Another problem that i have is that actually i can't install CWM recovery.
The installer doesn't detect my phone, which is kinda strange, since the phone was detected by the "bootloader unlocker".
So, how can i install this recovery?
PS: I have installed drivers via flashtool and i have the latest stock rom.
PPS: I have an XPERIA SOLA.
For install cwm you need to enable usb debugging in settings/developer options
And for play store you may try go to settings/apps/all and clear chache and data

Hi and thanks for the reply!
I already enabled usb debug but unfortunately it doesn't work.
I tried to clear play store cache and data too, but it doesn't work as well
EDIT: Ok so... i flashed completely the stock firmware because i had some problems... the bootloader remains unlocked?
I have to root the phone again now right?
Mnm... i need some guides to know how to root "well" the phone and install the cwm recovery...
Try rooting via Flashtool
If needed you could install a stock fw image/backup with it.

The bootloader remains unlocked untill you relock the bootloader so you don't have to worry about it........
yes, you have to root and install CWM again.....
the simple way for that is flashing a pre-rooted CWM installed kernal right away... that will save a lot of your workload...
You can find the kernals in the sola development section

try this...
Thanks to all guys!
I finally did it!
