Hi, I am having some problems trying to update my galaxy s2 i9100 to the android 4.0 ICS
There is no available update for it, whether i check it from the phone it self, of though kies..
When I check for my CSC in the phone it says - CSC: I9100UUBKI2
And when is connected to kies, it says: This is the latest firmware. (PDA:KI2 / PHONE:KI1 / CSC:KI2 (VNO)

From what I can see the information "This is the latest firmware" provided by Kies is correct. If in doubt use CheckFus to get the latest firmware for your phone.

Hey Guys,
i'm still not able to update from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 via kies.
Always the same message : this isn't an official firmware......
But i never flashed with Odin or something like...always updated with kies...
kies says the actual firmware is: pda: KF3 /Phone: KE7 / CSC: KE4 (DBT)
reinstalled kies and prob is still there...i also tried it on 3 differnt comp...
now, please help me!

Question why would you have an update to 2.3.4 has your phone provider actually updated to 2.3.4

Maybe you have to change the CSC code by typing *#272*Device IMEI#
but be attention it will do factory reset

Please dial *#1234# and post the exact result. You could also use Check Fus just to see what it suggests your latest firmware should be.
Hello.
I'm a new owner of a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I need your help.
If I connect my phone to Kies then the folowing text is displayed:
PDA: LF5 / PHONE: LF5 / MODEM: LF2 (VDH).
Then if I go to check the last software for the VDH models, on samsung firmware site, a new version (4.1.1) apears.
My question is why this update does not apear on my phone or on Kies?
I curently have the 4.0.4 firmware on my phone.

Check with your phone provider or use CHECKFUS to download any firmware and update .
Or download from this Samsung site you claim has your firmware .

I have updated my android firmware to 4.1.2 but not officially using Kies.
So now when i connect my phone to Kies it says "your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via kies."
Could anyone please tell me how i can reset my android firmware to the default version and then update it through Kies.

What you mean "not officially"? You mean via Odin/Mobile Odin?

now when i open kies it doesnt let me update my phone.
gives me that message.

Hi friends I own Galaxy s 2 i9100....I got it from UK 3 mobile.. After coming to India I have flashed it with a ROM which is unlocked version as its is locked to 3 network...after the flashing I connected it to kies for backup and found the same message as others in this thread mentioned...so I tried reflashing it with a ROM that is compatible with Indian version and got the issue solved ...I am providing the details of the rom now I am using
PDA: I9100XWLQ2
phnoe: I9100DDLPC
CSC: I9100ODDLPD
BUILD info: Fri oct 26 16:04:15 KST 2012
But recently KIES software in my laptop got updated and when I connected my S2 it stated that my phone is not compatible to update from KIES. But, the same day when I connected wifi in my phone I got a message that an update is available and its done successfully.
Now can any body help me to get that issue sorted out when connected to KIES as it accepted before and now why it is not accepting ??

This is all about csc codes and roms/firmwares from specific regions. csc changer from play store will fix most of the problems for you although root access is required in jelly bean. change the csc to your country and if all the planets are aligned in the third 1/4 of Aries your up and running..
However why the bloody hell you would want to use kies for anything other than backing your stuff up is completely beyond thinking about its the worst bloody piece of bloat you can install on your pc. Use odin you can flash any rom from any country you like its makes little difference as to weather your phone works in your country or not. HAPPY FLASHING.
@#1 If you really want too and jelly bean is available in your country install that via odin and that should also fix your problem.

2. Kies downloaded the latest upgrade and then showed me Allow 'AdminDelegator' to modify my computer setting. I said yes.
But after that, Kies got freezed, it didnt start the installation. My S3 doesn't show the downloading....
Am I missing something in the upgrade procedure?

KIES is somewhat annoying to use lol. Why don't you just use the OTA feature of the phone? It's much faster that way.

Thanks for the reply. I have already tried OTA, but it says No updates available. So was I trying with Kies. Kies downloads the firmware and then the it gets freezed when about to start the initialization and never responds back.
Upgrade via Odin saves you posting the same question in multiple threads .
Multiple posts of the same question is against the rules .
Or get Samsung service to update for you .
