Home buttons broken, Is there any way I could make another button go to the home screen? Such as long pressing back button or something
It won't fix your physical broken button but, download Button Savior from the store.

Glad you got it working. I have a question about the buttons though, are they supposed to have an LED backlight behind them?

Yeah. When the screen is awake a white light should come on behind them.

So now the home button is somehow pushing itself, is there a way to completely disable the button?

Have you deleted HOME from the original home key in the file? If not I would try that and see if that works.

Just out of curiousity would it be possible for someone to make the search button a Facebook button like how the HTC status has? I'd be willing to donate if so.

Widget locker does that if you don't mind replacing your lock screen.

It works for me. I think the option is buried somewhere in the settings.

I see the toggle button in widget locker where that *should* make any physical button wake the device, but it doesn't work for me. Im also looking for a way to make the volume buttons wake screen, if you find a way please keep us posted!!

This also doesn't work for me, I am running Joker's Skinny ROM and obviously rooted, unlocked and unbricked..for now.
That is strange. It worked for me on Homebase and its working on cybik's cm7 build.
EDIT: I should probably note that I can only get the volume buttons to wake it. The camera button is a no-go, no matter what setting I try.

Really? Press your gpen against screen while holding the botton in. Another method is to swipe the side of your palm across the screen. Like your brushing something off.

Other than pressing the home screen button is there a way to get the s pen to take you back to the home screen? Tried a quick Google search but couldn't find anything.
Only way right now is to buy GMD SPen Control from the market and create your own gesture.

Thanks but I'll wait and see if there might be an update that will allow it before I spend $5 on it.

Im pretty sure you can create your own gestures with out having to buy anything. Plus there is already a way to get to hime. But you have to draw the back button .ill look for it and post it here. With the way to create gestures
Go to settings... s pen..... s pen settings. There you can create a gesture or a function you want the s pen to do. Theres also s help page at the bottom when you scroll all the way down.

Is there any way to make the home button wake the phone?
It should already... mine does.
Take a look at /system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl and gpio_keys.kl see if 172 still says wake. It shouldn't say wake_dropped like the others if it doesn't add wake if its missing or remove dropped if its there

No my home button does not wake up phone
My home button wakes the phone and takes it to my lock screen. If you disable swip to unlock, then pressing the home button would take you to the home screen.

Get https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander and use it to go to /system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl click it and tell it to edit file, use the editor that comes with the app, scroll down to 172 and see if it says "172 HOME WAKE" or "172 HOME WAKE_DROPPED" or simply "172 HOME"
Do the same on /system/usr/keylayout/gpio_keys.kl and report back
