I'm looking for a modem for my I9100G for the US. People seem to have trouble hearing me during calls and I can never receive MMS picture messages, it simply gives me a button to download the picture, then gives me a notification saying "Couldn't download message (No Subject) from.." It's very frustrating. I'm running the latest version of CM9.
yo durrik
did you try to ICS modems in cyanogenmod 9 i9100g rom page.there were two in the download section one is ZCLP7 and the other is DDLP5
As the previous user has said, there are currently 2 modems available in the CM9 thread.
ZCLP7 - http://teamhacksung.org/download/samsung/GT-I9100G/radio-cm-9-ZCLP7-i9100g-signed.zip
DDLP5 - http://teamhacksung.org/download/samsung/GT-I9100G/radio-cm-9-LP5-i9100g-signed.zip
Try to at least read the whole thread before making a new thread, and asking for something which is clearly in the main thread itself. Flash either of the modems with ClockworkMod Recovery and you're good to go. It's advisable to try both and see which one works best for you.

Aboute a month a go i bought a galaxy s2 phone.it came with GB 2.3.4 and for a while all was well.
When the update for ICS 4.0.3 came through Kies, i decided to update. The procedure when fine but.....since then my signal has been rather poor. I get four bars ocasionaly mostly it has three. If i start the data or the wifi connections, the signal tends to drop.
I thought the official rom was rubbish so i changed it to Resurrection Remix 1.9....but the problem persists.
I'm thinking of switching back to GB, to see if that would fix my problem.
Does anybody have any ideea why this problem occured in the first place?
Thanks,
Cosmin

Chances are the different modem in the ICS rom might be causing the issues, assuming you can't pin it down to other sources I.E network issues.
Try a bunch of different modems until you find one that works; search on here/Google, they come in CWM flashable packages & take all of a minute to flash. You flash one, test it out for a bit - properly; over fair amount of time (couple of hrs) & preferably @ different locations, if it's no good you flash another one, etc, etc.
Edit to add - Given you didn't have these issues with the 2.3.4 stock rom you were using, find out which modem is in that rom & then search for a CWM flashable modem package on here & flash that one first. Might well fix your problems rather than flashing a whole rom. Yes, you can use GB modems with ICS roms & VV
Thanks for the quick response.
Unfortunately I didn't note the original rom/modem....so I have no ideea which one it was
I found on the forum that there are a couple of modems ( These modems are KE7, KH3, KI3 and KI4 )that work well so i will give them a try first.
Hopefully this will solve my problem.
I will post the results as soon as I have them.

sorry for starting a new thread but i have researched and tried everything i could before posting here.
i own a i777 and am located in india. recently i had a baby and my wife is at her mother's place with the baby. i use native 3g video calling daily to talk to them. the problem is, i have found only one rom (mystic glory- which is a great rom, thks to Mysticking)so far with "dialer with contacts" .i have been using this rom for last 6 months dd basis.
Now i would like to get myself some jellybeans on the phone. i had downloaded a lot of jb roms(i777, ported i777, tried hellraising i9100 roms) hoping to have native video calling....but no luck......couldnt successfully hellraise i9100 roms with the procedures mentioned in ported development forum.
i have also tried to install several respective "dialer with contacts" (respective meaning xxlsj, xwlpg, xwlpq etc) mods and .apk files using the method of puting them in system folder with solid explorer (followed exact steps descried in general forum to replace system apks) but no luck what so ever.
i cant even use dual booting, since mystic's rom is ics and there is no kernel (to the best of my knowledge) that can dual boot ics and jb together. so basically i m stuck with mystic glory (no disrespect to Mysticking or his rom which is superb for ics).
now my question is can somebody direct me in the right direction, and suggest a foolproof method to install "dialer with contatcs" on practically all roms so i can explore the treasure of roms developed by beautiful ppl of xda. i m not an expert yet, but i can follow proper directions very well. willing to learn and do basic programming if i have to.
Or even better if somebody can be so kind to develope a app like market app whick can be installed on any rom.
please help.
What is "dialer with contacts"?

I think most roms remove the video call feature because we can't use it in the US. You can try asking a rom developer to give you a cwm flashable file of the dialer with video call (if it originally had it).

Hi,
i'm having problem with GPS using Zelly Cream ROM 3.0.1. No icon shows in notification bar, like it used to show in other ROMs or even previous versions of this ROM.
Now i'm kinda confused because
FAQ says:
Q5: I have a problem with this ROM and what should I....
A: It's a ROM specific question, better post it in the ROM thread. They will help you better.

but since i'm "new" on the forum(been following many threads for months) i can't post i development threads.
I doubt that making another 9 useless posts to ask one question would make this board any better...
What should i do?
Hello everybody,
I flashed my phone (i9300) with CM 10.1 RC and everything was good, except one thing: it's dropping outgoing calls every time you try to make one, without any message. Other thing are working perfectly: SMS, incoming calls, internet connection but not outgoing calls. So I've decided to experiment with rom's versions and flashed it with nightly release (same problem), M snapshot (same problem) and when I flashed with stable 9.1 version the ability to make outgoing calls came back, but I've got a lot of other problems (like anoying message "Android keyboard stopped working", and home button not responding). So I've desided to come back to CM 10.1 RC with outgoing calls problem.
Someone have any idea how to fix it? Please help.
Thank you!
what f/w was your phone on before flashing cm 10.1?
It was on stock official firmware.
