Did you force both cpu's online?
If so that was a bad suggestion on my part.
As long as I don't have both cpu's forced online my battery life has been great

I personally would suggest not using anything but System Tuner at this point to set clock speeds, UV etc until we can get this worked out in the kernel. Honestly with OC yes you will benchmark better but do you really feel any difference as far as day to day use. In the OP I would suggest maybe trying the non-OC kernel and compare and see if it is any different.
v0.8 kernels can be downloaded and reflashed any time From Here

I am running Flap's AOSP rom now but I don't think setting should be any different. Here's what I have set up.
BLN Pro Enabled ( obviously lol)
timeout of static LEDS > 1 min
BLN for Android-OS apps > Enable
I am using Maildroid, facebook, gosms pro and call, I get all the notification.
In Maildroid, preference > Notification > turn on the Led
In Gosms, Turn off Screen on setting. So the light will blink but the screen won't turn on

Thanks so much for trying to help, but I dont have your apps...I am using sms popup based on roloracers input, and purchased bln pro...and have followed the instructions to the tee...I dont get it.
I AM using APEX Pro...but I doubt that is interfering with this...I have disabled notifications on all my clients...my "sound" goes off...but NO LED!
I guess I need a noob 1. 2. 3. etc lol...nah...I already know how to read...i just dont get this and it is pissing me off! lol
I am using apex pro and my notification are on for unread count. Try gosms and see if that works for you.

I installed the bln free just to turn the led notification off (disable the default from FJ rom). Just to save battery.

Yup, works on mine
I just had a weird issue with the capacitive lights. They turn on OK with the screen but then turn off...and stay off after my 6 second timer setting. Also, the buttons stopped responding to touch. Turning the screen off then on helped...but my lights wont stay on.

Anyone else getting bad battery life like me? I did a full-wipe and clean install last night. Installed a couple apps (but didn't run any of them) like MyFitnessPal, Facebook, Baconreader..some pretty normal stuff that I've used across all ROMS. I unplugged my battery this morning, and an hour and 45 minutes later without doing anything on the phone (no SMS,email, browsing, etc.) I'm at 92%. Yesterday my phone didn't even make it the full day!
Apart from some of the user apps, I haven't touched anything. No CPU overclocking, it's got the default kernel and all.
did you by any chance forced both core running by any chance? did you check if your phone go into deep sleep or not?

What about being able to change the volume with the phone locked? I thought this was a new feature? I see I can pull down the status bar from the lock screen and then adjust the volume, but this is just as many steps as unlocking the phone and changing the volume!
ALSO, what happened to the Panorama mode aka SweepShot for the camera? It dun work no more!

I think that this is only if your in tablet mode. This doesn't just turn off the lights, it completely disables the hardware buttons. The original post for this hack was to disable buttons so that the soft menu was not duplicated by hardware buttons.
This is great for people who use the Note in tablet mode. Since I use the phone in phone mode, I just want to turn the lights off but still use the buttons.
Thanks to the op for the info.

Try this:
Go to settings-display-custom backlight settings-edit other levels-find to the far right buttons- the first 2 lines will have a default level value of 255, change them to 0 (zero). Must also have Auto-Brightness to on as well. Should not have backlight buttons on until power off/on or reboot. If you do they will come on briefly then go out.
Sorry wrong quote#, my eyes are a little tired today!

Shouldn't do that if you change both values in the last row, both should have been changed from 255 to zero(0). I'll recheck my settings, but my lights stay off until I reboot/power on my phone.
Directions added above to my original post. This is a 2 part equation must use auto-brightness first then follow rest of directions.

App is based off of work by xHausx, Art2Fly and coolbho3000. You can set speed, voltage and restore stock with this app. Once applied, it will automatically set the speed available on every boot, no need to do anything manually (except apply it with a 3rd party overclock app). I've tested most options and it is working. Be warned, not all phones will be able to overclock fully (I could OC to 1.9GHz but on 2.0GHz my phone froze). Your phone must be rooted to use this app and have busybox installed. I'm planning on adding more features, this is the first version. Feel free to let me know what works, what doesn't and how it can be improved, thanks. Special thanks to dodgejcr for giving me the idea to even build the app.
Disclaimer: I, the app developer (Dread 7us), will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the use of this app. You, the user, accept all responsibility. You are applying this MOD of your own free will.
This app doesn't apply the overclock value you set, you still need a 3rd party overclock app to do that (like SetCPU, NoFrills, etc).
Features:
Set clock speed
Set voltage manually
Return to stock
Pre-defined clock speeds with custom options available
Overclock value will be select-able after reboots
Instructions:
Open app and accept SU permission
Tap 'Set speed' and select an option to begin (you can't apply until you do)
Custom: enter a value that will be multiplied by 27
That number * 27 will equal the MHz
It will show selected speed once selected
Tap VDD if you need to set a voltage
If the value is within acceptable levels, it will show the value on the main screen
Tap 'Apply' to set, will reboot and automatically apply on every reboot
Use a 3rd party Overclock app to set value (like SetCPU).
Tap 'Remove' to go back stock (will reboot)
Known issues:
If you input a ridiculous value (greater than the max) for VDD, it will FC
That will be fixed soon.

love your kernels. i do have a question, when we flash from recovery what will the kernel build be under about phone? just to make sure i don't need to manually push the boot.img.

This!
Same position as you, just dirty flashed 1.6 from 1.5 and immediately flashed this kernel after i booted up first.. Seems like my battery is draining bad but idk if its due to new rom, kernel, use, or the fact that i now have 1%battery mod i can actually see the percentage going down lol

Awesome work! I loved PGM on the GNex and this makes me happy haha. I'll chime in with battery life tomorrow. Do you guys use power save?

Yeah i do.. Im going to see what its like tomorrow. There could be a number of reasons why im having issues, if i even am at all. Ill give the new rom and kernel to settle in before anything is fecidee

any chances of you implementing a louder volume tweak into your kernel for incall? the only thing i notice is occasional lag when pressing the back button, sometimes it doesn't respond at all.
My capacitive buttons doesn't vibrate when I press them now...?
How do I go back to the stock kernel?

Reflash your ROM.
That's a known issue with all custom kernels. It only seems to happen to a few people.

I installed BetterBatteryStats last night so I'll chime in tonight. As mentioned before, screen on time isn't accessible on Sense's settings.

I decided to start modifying KTweaker today so I could start testing some adjustments to the stock kernel and decided to share and give you guys that are coming from my S3 stuff the KTweaker user interface you are used to :highfive: :good:.
Of course hardly any of the KT features work since we are stuck on stock kernel forever, lol, but here are the things that work and you can set them on boot of course which is nice.
1. Boot Options
2. Backup
3. Restore
4. General Screen -> Min and Max Mhz
5. General Screen -> I/O Scheduler
6. General Screen -> I/O Scheduler Adjustments
7. General Screen -> CPU Governor
8. General Screen -> CPU Governor Adjustments
Stay out of "Voltage" screen or it will just FC on you.
Also, just answer No to all the questions when starting the app for the first time
You can only change settings in the General screen if you are rooted, if you are NOT, then nothing is going set.
See Post #3 for my current settings.
Change Log 5.20.2013
1. Add support for all 4 cores on necessary settings
2. General clean up to stop crashes in certain screens
3. Added "Load Defaults" support for SGS4 (DO NOT use this yet, its only for the guys that are using my kernel)
Change Log 5.16.2013
1. Initial release
2. Modded CPU's online to support more than just 2 cpu's
3. Fixed resolution issues with images and text on 1080p screen.
My settings
General Screen
governor = ondemand
scheduler = CFQ
General -> Governor Adjustments Screen
sampling_rate = 45000
up_threshold = 70
up_threshold_any_cpu_load = 60
up_threshold_multi_core = 50
Thanks ..nice. Something to try. Thanks for your settings also. I'm giving it a spin.
Update, this thing is sweet..phone is screamin..good work.
