Although I would usually agree with you, the newly unified Sony mobile devices team has apparently learnt from its Tablet and Xperia mistakes and is trying to keep devices more up-to-date. I even saw a post somewhere on the General forum saying Sony Support had said they would release JB, but didn't have a date. We can only hope
Hey,
I actually spoke to a lovely Egyptian lady with Sony Support UK, The lady confirmed that we will be getting JB. And "It will fix many bugs" she said we should expect it "later this year", It's a shame she couldn't be a little bit more specific. But Hey, At least it's confirmed, unless she's playing a dirty trick...

He released a pre-rooted ICS rom for that people who are neither on unrooted ICS nor on Kernel #10. These people are having an unrooted ICS Tablet and it's unrootable till anyday
I dont think we will get a rooted tablet anytime soon, because of the locked bootloader :/
We need a custom recovery first.

Yes, with the official ICS release expected end of April-early May, it would make sense that there are developer builds of ICS out there now.
It's very early build at the moment. Only a few markets get the testing software, and these are to testers. After they test, provide feedback back to the mothership, then back to development, and on and on. No where near releasing to public.
Somebody have to try and get in contact with josheijmans (the guy who wrote on sony forum) and guide him how to rip off this ROM and make a nice fft!!

You never know, when I got my first Android I was soft-bricked a week later. And a day after that I had Cyanogenmod.
Since he rooted it himself, it MUST have been him who changed it, or he got someone else to do it for him.

I would settle for a straight aosp build without the extras!

KitKat can come to any device as long as someone is working on the kernel and proprietary files. We have Kali here so I'm guessing that's a good sign that it's coming.

I will have to respectfully disagree. There is an attachment on the original post which shows krabappel2548 saying he will bring it to the ultra. From that I pulled up the other links. So the OP didn't claim something without further info, or at least not that couldn't have been followed up if you had an interest in the topic.

Anytime there is a new source / base, then dev's need to start a tree from scratch. It takes a huge amount of time. So don't expect a release soon..
I just started a fully new device tree and running a first compile of 4.4 kitkat with the 4.3cm kernel.
Anyway I'm expecting some errors to pop up with caf and qcom.hardware maybe. I'll keep.you guys posted here and also in Z1 kitkat in.november thread
You can also check my site, important news will appear there too
I can't give any ETA since kitkat is brand new + we didn't had an AOSP device tree from 4.3 to start from. Just keep your fingers crossed and check XDA for updates
