[Q][RESOLVED] Flashing a CM9 modem with a CM10 kernel?

Hi guys,
I'm running Resurrection Remix JB v3.0.5 on my GT-I9100 with CM10 kernel from 20120815. Current baseband version is XXLPX.
I wanted to try a different modem which I've found due to r1m (THANKS!)
The CWM-flashable zip-file for the BOLP5 modem says CM9, and since I have CM10 running, I was wondering if this would cause any trouble. Could anyone help me out? Thanks!

ROM: RR JB 3.0.5
KERNEL: CM10-20120815
MODEM: I9100XXLPX

OK then, that's wonderful! Thanks a lot.
Just wondering though, why does one bother to put "cm-9" in the name of the zip if it doesn't matter? Just to show the original source of the modem?

Ahh i see.. sorry mate i am a noob to android as iv always been firm iphone jailbreaker.. am i right in thinking then that in order to get a custom kernal such as siyah it must run with a rom based on a samsung rom... for instance siyah would be fine with a rom based around ics 4.0.4 and there for i wont get a custom kernal until samsung release jelly bean for the s3?
Siyah works on stock Samsung ICS and on AOSK/AOKP/CM based on ICS
It should be updated to support JB as soon as Samsung release the sources
Repeat after me....k...e...r...n...E...l....!!!

About the kernels you posted above, please read what the OP say in their threads:
"This is a kernel including ClockworkMod Recovery for use on Samsung roms.
Don't use this kernel on aosp based roms like CyanogenMod!!!"
