About SuperUser - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I am totally new here and have a question that how I can re-grant the app permission as wrongly denied... Try to re-install the app but still unable to get the SuperUser allow to grant. Is that means once denied one app, then this app will never be get the permission fever ?
Thank you very much !

You should be able to allow/deny via Superuser app. Just open Superuser, you will see the apps which require root access, open the app of your choice and press the menu key, so that option appears whether to deny/allow root access permissions.
~Cheers

You can also try either clearing the app data or flashing SuperSu (do a search) and using that instead of SuperUser.

Are you getting a popup that you have to grant root rights on?
If you just installed it, you have to grant root rights. Was it working before, then stopped?

as an extension of that: if you didn't get the popup then install "Superuser" from the market and try again
Try the "problems" button, it will install busybox.

Superuser clear data..

Have a unlocked and rooted Nexus 7. Everything was working perfectly till I made the stupid move to clear Data on the superuser app. Now I do not seems to have root access. The apps that require root access does not work now. The Superuser prompt does not appear either..
What have I done and what do I need to do now?...
Go to the superuser app, swipe right and tap 'update su binary'. Then open root apps and see if they ask for permission. Clearing data of superuser app normally doesn't cause anything other than losing the list of permitted apps.

Removing superuser / restoring root

Hi,
Please help, I did rsd, flashed retail.en.EU, then did OTA from SD. Everything works great, but I lost my root. (Voodoo keeper didnt worked somehow). Voodoo shows that: su installed - YES, device rooted - YES, root permission granted - NO, system supports root protection - YES, protected SU copy available - NO. Only button I can hit in voodoo is "protect root" and then it tells "root su protected". But the thing is that Superuser does not allow (not even asks) any superuser permission to no apps. And every other root checker apps states that device isnt rooted. So I want to ask You guys:
Is there some way to restore the root I had? And if no:
How to delete/uninstall/remove Superuser from my system. Because SU was installed during the root process, and there is no option to uninstall it. Just disable, uninstall updates.
BIG THANKS!

At the main tab the superusers app, tap on the application, on the bottom , tap on the trash button, it will forget the superusers access you have granted
Lastly, try to open the app
Hit the 'thanks' button if it helps

Boot Menu Manager, you need root to install that recovery
So you must wait for the developers to make a root program so you can root your phone

[Q] Superuser from Koush / CWM

I have installed the superuser app from Koush / CWM. While using my favorite file-explorer I accidently choose “deny root access” / “remember this choice forever”. My file-explorer app is now listed under the denied apps. Is there any chance to get back, so that superuser will ask again to grant root-access? I couldn’t find this option in superuser settings, also not when tap and hold on the app in the deny list. Any ideas?
Try clearing the Superuser app's data, then relaunching your file explorer.
If you clear the settings of your file manager and relaunch it, it should prompt you again. If not, you can uninstall and reinstall to regain root permission requests.
Many thanks for your helpful replies! Not a convenient solution, but it seems to work.

[Q] HTC M7 (CM12) Hibernation failed in root mode

I installed Greenify on my HTC M7 with Cyanogenmod 12, but didn't get the 'Grant Root Access' question. Now Greenify can't hibernate.
I tried deleting and re-installing the app, but it didn't help a bit. Also tried using superuser apps, but still no root access question. For I think that's the cause why Greenify can't hibernate my apps in Root mode. Any ideas on how to fix this?
You could check your SuperUser/Super SU to ask for greenify root permission again. What probably happened was that you failed to respond in the short window of time to allow root access to greenify when the popup appeared for the first time & now it is denied unless you manually tell your SuperUser/SuperSU to ask again. Do check the log for permission allowed/denied in your SuperUser/SuperSU app. Hope it helps.

Have Useruser installed right now, but can't find this option? No apps in application list. Can you tell me how I should do the above?
Looks like a problem with root access on my phone
