I'm trying to make a flashable zip that doesn't involve an apk, but sadly most of the guides/tools i find relate to apks. Is there a guide that will work for any file?
I don't know how to make them, but I do have a blank one you can use to look through of you like. I too would like to know how to handle the updater-scripts so I have a better understanding.

Yeah, I have some blank one's too. The updater scripts seem to be my issue as well. I miss the old days of just being able to create a zip without all the fuss of those scripts.
what exactly are you trying to do?

anyone have the zip file to makes fonts size smaller. i see them in the 3.5 roms and Joelz actually gave me the zip file but it doesn't work after i flash it. i think he was busting my balls lol
Anyone know another way or have a working zip? The small font really makes a rom look clean and organized which is what i love in my roms.
Help a fellow member out?
Have you tried font changer from Market place?
na i believe that only changes the font, i need to change the font SIZE.
i have a flashable zip but it just doesn't work after i boot up.

You can probably just pull whatever the files are in that zip and put them into a flashable zip for the cdma. I think the gsm might have different mount points like the sensation.

You need root access to either replace or edit the 'battery_charging.qmg' files.

No clue. But I believe with Samsung Theme Designer you can make your own.
I don't think it'll read qmg files but I think the tool allows you to make them. Haven't tried it myself, so I don't really know.

Did you see my remarks in the other thread? about all the duplicate apps between the system/app and data/app ?
The problem is for start, the system folder is 400mb size, and even though after getting rid of duplicates, i managed to take it down to just 305mb, it still would not even boot up far enough to give me a log file.
Also, take note that the sh file is written as sh0, which is why it can't be found.

You could take the non-major system apps and symlink them to the sdcard, like
make a folder called /sdcard/system.app containing a good portion of the system apps and symlink it to /system/app
How's the project going? Just a bit curious...
Sorry for the wait, guys. I'm finally back. I'm gonna symlink some apps to the /data partition. It should be uploaded sometime tomorrow.

Was looking forward to this as my last hope. CM7 is giving me problems and it would be nice to get some Sense again.

Wish I knew more, so I can help out but damn not enough time for anything! Can't anybody just port from a different device, I mean cm9 was ported to this device. Don't mean to be demanding sorry if it sounds like it does! You guys are great!

EDIT: Uploading, tell me if it boots.
is it up at rom manager or other file sharing sites?
I made a zip and it works pretty well (fullscreen arrow works and the windows are fully adjustable). Tested on both me7 and mdk, me7 users would obviously have to push the apk to /system instead of flash a zip though. It might have already been posted but just others might be interested in it as well.
