ASUS support OTG, it's no simply soldering as normal otg, it's need clip for working.
IT'S the same function as original ASUS USB adapter, the difference it's the housing its just little bigger than original one, because will comes with double usb female, and will launch soon...
the :good: adapter it's just making logo now, someone interested?
Double USB ports sounds great. Seems to me like it'll be a good product once it's in production. Good luck.

Thanks for the offer. I needed.
lowest prime eligible is 4.99
didnt look to see how much the dollar cable was with shipping, but i bit on the 5 for prime 2 day shipping.
thanks op for heads up, would have never thought theyd be that cheap.
You do know that the Evo 3D doesn't take an HDMI cable, right.
It outputs via mhl in the micro USB port. So you need and mhl cable or adapter.

I got one, the shipping was more than the cable, but still paid $4 for a $30 cable. I'm happy...

well that was fun.
Lmao on dis thread
Dunno if it'll work with our phones but what the heck it's 5.00 and you get a pack of 3.
If it does work- awesome, I just got 3 cables for 5 bucks and I can watch stuff on my TV
If it doesn't...I lost 5 bucks, big whoop.
dailysteals.com
Nice deal but yeah you still need an MHL adapter to plug it into our phones.
Yup, got to have a mhl adaptor for tv-out. You use a regular hdmi cable with it
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
This is a good deal though. I think the one I bought for my EVO 4G was around $4.50 on monoprice. I bought the 3 pack of mini HDMI for my Asus Transformer because this deal is either or. Too bad they didn't let you mix and match!

yeah ill tell ya man, thats the only gripe I got with this phone, and its really not even that big of a deal LOL. But i got about a dozen USB Cables from my EVO 3D and now there useless. But i was just gonna order a new Car Charger from the Verizon Site, but im hoping that its got the right connector on it. Its not showing that its made specific for the Rezound. Its saying its compatible with most devices...whata ya gonna do?...it is what it is!!!
All my old android chargers work with my rezound. My droid x charger. My wife's incredible 2 charger and my car charge I had with my thunderbolt.

Any microusb charger will work. In fact the chargers for your evo 3d are the same as the one for the rezound try flipping it upside down, it is that way with the incredible. I am currently charging my rezound with a years old blackberry charger.
the answer to your question is no. They are not the same.
the one that came with my rezound was an MHL plug.
the good news is that a regular micro usb will fit in there, you just have to make sure you put it in the right.
Sent from my HTC Rezound using Tapatalk. Forgive autocorrect.
Actually I appreciate the port change. The one it comes with is locked in place. And any micro USB will fit just make sure u flip it so the clips r on top

I prefer the MHL port as well, nice and sturdy. But yeah, and micro USB is compatible with our port.
I like trolling my friends when their battery is low with the new cable. They used to mooch off of my charger, but it won't work with their phones anymore lol. I'll be the one bumming the charger off of them when my phone gets low if I don't have mine... Although they might just deny me the cord for previously trolling them lol.

I know Samsung sells that 40$ adapter for HDMI out. Is there a cheap alternative? I know they sell the mhl adapters for like $3 on eBay but from what I've read saint changed the pin layout in the gs3
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
They did change the pin out. What boggles me is no one has come up with an adaptor. Does any one know what the new pin out is vs the old one?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I believe its 11 pin on then new and 5 on the old.

This is extremely annoying to me (especially when I watch my Sons RAZR MAXX do HDMI out with no adaptor required).
I can verify that my older MHL adaptors definitely DO NOT work.
I bought the new one because I use HDMI everyday & it works very well, but there will certainly be cheaper ones coming out.
Since you have one, how many pins does it have ? Can you provide a picture of the pins?
Thanks

I bought one of the new Samsung S-III MHL adapters, and can confirm it works. My old MHL adapter doesn't work on the S-III (but does on the S-II)
I thought that MHL specified the USB side of the connector, so either the old phones are MHL compliant, or the new ones are. How can there be 2 different connector standards for MHL?! Great standard guys - You just killed it because normal consumers won't understand why this MHL device doesn't work, and others do.

According to http://www.mhlconsortium.org/about/FAQs.aspx the MHL standard is SUPPOSED to be 5-pin to HDMI. If I'm not mistaken, the switch to 11-pin micro USB was necessary for USB on the go, which cannot be supported with just 5-pin micro USB so I guess its worth it. I don't have any existing MHL cables so it doesn't really bother me that much.
Was wondering what is best OTG and sd read to get for my DNA? I'm open for any suggestions.

This one to me looks the best
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects...r-android-smartphones-and-ta?ref=home_popular
Greekman that is the best adapter I have seen so far for my purposes as well. what do you think the chances are that one will be made in a form factor that doesn't scare me by threatening to snap off like a dry twig? I would like one but that looks like it could be fragile...

I have both of these and they work fine on the DNA as far as the OTG side.

I bought one or both of mine from a US retailer. I think I bought one US (for like $10) and one from overseas because I needed on sooner rather than later. If I'm ok with buying something that will take a few weeks to get here usually I don't need it. So that's why I tried the two different styles. Both work really good, most of the other ones on amazon or ebay are just one of those two styles. The one with the 90 degree conection has a long USB male plug and would work even with a case blocking the plug housing from mating up to the device.
Thanks for the suggestions. They are pretty cheap on amazon so I will try one and if I don't like or won't work for some reason I will by another. Etc....
