[Q] wlan_rx_wake wakelock - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

Ever since installing the new kernel from ktoonsez I have had this wakelock that seems to be very excessive. Its at over an hour and my phone has only been off the charger for about 3 hours with 16 mins of screen on time.
Anyone else having this issue?

[Q] anyone experience decreased battery life after Beans rom flash

I flashed Beans rom version 3 and immediately got decreased battery life. Anyone else experience similar?
Give it a full day or two. Getting over 4 hours of screen time and around 12 hours up time

I have had it for a week or so. I get one day max on medium use. I used to get two days under heavy use on stock, it was like this way before installing any programs too... Any ideas?

Maybe try re flashing. Running well for me

I haf bad life let my battery run dead and did a full recharge before restarting anf havent had a problem since. I usually do that when I flash a rom. Or charge to 100 before I flash it.

I am getting the best battery life ever since flashing Beans 4. I am currently typing this with 1 day and 22 hours on battery with around 3 hours in screen time. Battery percentage is currently showing 55%... even if that is wrong and the phone dies at any minute, getting nearly 2 days on a charge is good for me!
I will keep it off the charger until it dies just to see how far it will go.

[HELP] Extreme Battery Drain

Hello there.
For the last few days, the battery of my phone is draining at an exceptional rate even without use, power saving switched on and everything else turned off.
Yesterday morning it drained 5% in 3 minutes!
Any help will be appreciated.

Buy new battery.
Any way I can test whether something is wrong with battery or software?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Please search before posting things as vague as that. No one knows anything about your problem. Are you using the phone when, or is that idle drain? Regardless of that, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217943. Chances are someone else has already got the same problem as you especially if it's battery - related, so please search for it.

[HELP] Having battery bad issues with my DNA.

The battery used to run flawlessly since I got the phone 8 months ago, I got an average of 12 hrs of battery life. Suddenly a week ago my battery did not last more than 5 hours for some reason, even when I'm at work and it would be on idle for about 8 hours and ends up at 40-30%. I tried killing apps (never did before) and restarted the phone and all. I don't know what's wrong. I really don't want to reset the phone.
Does anyone have a similar issue or a solution to this?

I would probably just reset the phone and don't download any apps for a few days to see if it was a rogue app.
Also is it in a case and getting hot? My friends s3 was in a case and pocket and would get too hot and die fast. Also the hot phone caused a crack in his screen from a 1 foot drop.

Nope the phone does not get hot at all, it stays at the same yet cool idle temperature.

Use wakelock detector and see if you have any apps causing a wakelock.

It's most likely a rogue app.

If you turned the phone on and used it for 30 mins and then idle it for another 5 and 1/2 hours and it died... then something is wrong.
Rouge app causing wake ups 100% of the time?
Battery is a dud?

Sounds to me like the NSA is on to you my friend.
From the looks of your screen shot you have alot of things running in the background. Emulator, torrent and media servers drain battery quickly. I can get 2 days with my setup. But if I play words with friends my battery is dead in 4 hours. Some apps are just battery leeches. What Rom n kernel are you running.

I found out that my dhcp settings on my wifi are c wing causing my phone to do s WLAN wakelock alit. I'm currently in the hospital so when I get out I'm going to fix my network settings

Noticed you said you were in the hospital... How is the signal in there? If you have no signal, your battery will drain looking for a signal.
On your battery stats, click on the graph and screen shot so we can see your wake time.

The wifi is always full strength here. I think this is what you wanted.

Holy crap you have your screen on alot. What is your screen on time? If you are getting 4 or 5 screen on time, that isn't bad. Looks like your phone sleeps when screen is off which is good. I just think you are killing your battery with on screen time. Most people saying they get 1 to 2 day use don't have the screen on that much. I usually get 5 hours of screen time on 4g. However my 5 hour screen on time spands over 15 hours. Also depends on what you are doing when screen is on... Playing games drain vs checking email for example.

Here is my battery states... Can tell when I got off work and really started playing around with the phone. Was on 4g about 80 percent of the time.

Another app you can try (which) is free, is CPU spy to check if you is staying or stuck in a high speed frequency, say 1600 mhz
