INSTRUCTIONS: To RESTORE the backup.
A flashable ZIP file is created during flashing of the battery mod. This is a backup of your original SystemUI.apk file. Each ZIP is timestamped with the date and time in GMT/UTC. All you have to do, is flash this ZIP as you would any other flashable CWM zip file. The files are located in \SDCard\UniversalFlasher\
FAQ:
Q. I can't see my new battery mod? (using CM9)
A. Check the battery display setting. (Settings - Interface - System - Status Bar - Battery status style -> Icon (default))

First, and thank you! They look great! Are you going to be making more in the near future?

awesome - i actually favor the stock "percentage" option . thin bar with number next to it - but great job
any chance of a center clock feature?
what are the system requirements for these battery mods. i am running cool ics v10 with the latest radio
I believe your phone has to be running CM9 ROM from agrabren.
Looks like you have been busy making battery mods. Nice. I'll try the domination one out.

Cudos on the battery mod's man good work. I have a quick ??? Does the cayogen battery turn colors when the % reaches below 75%? I've noticed with several battery mods that they will change to green when the battery % drops below 75%. Thanks

As for the Cyanogen. Its completely all blue until it hits 14% battery life in which it turns red.

I want something that is position in the same place as the battery icon on the top right hand corner. I just cant believe android dont have this feature by default! It is better with percentage rather than just battery icon.
Unfortunately it will be possible only on rooted devices.
The Arc has been rooted so we just need some mods that help us with that.
I really hope CyanogenMod will be ported to the arc. It has this and many other cool functions like a Notification toggle.
Cheers
We just need the scripts, perhaps the stock gingerbread scripts from Modaco,CM7 or OTA N1 can help
or...
CM7 on Xperia Arc. That would be awesome!
That's why you shoul show to CM team that we are many users and not only 2 here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/20708-sony-ericsson-xperia-arc/
Try Battery Minder, free from the market. You can put the percentage on the left corner of the top.
Done! I hope they start working on this ASAP.
Mod roms is the only reason I rotted my phone.
Once recovery is sorted, we'll be able to use the UOT Kitchen to try tweaking the battery images:

Try ZDBox available for free on the market. I am using it on my Arc. It is a great app which shows battery percentage as an icon, does the job of App to SD, got a good task killer and uninstaller...

Yes, I agree with that too. I will prefer to have the battery percentage indicator on the original battery icon on the top right corner.
It will be the same battery percentage icon modification as the X10.
Agreed!!..
Just twitt Paul O Brien of Modaco to build up a cuustom Rom, he will surelly add battery percentage and blinking lights for missed calls (hardware keys lights)

Im using 3.0.A.2.181 too..you should make a backup of the original as good practice, the phone should still boot if anything goes wrong but remember to enable USB debugging first

You were so close!! Search market for not circle battery indicator but "Circle Battery Widget".
I bet you did after posting this and already found it huh?

question.
if I put this on top of greyblur will I keep the same icons like download battery and wifi etc etc just in orange??
or will it install your notification icons instead?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
The icons are part of the resource file that gets replaced so, yes, no more greyblur icons, my orange icons, highlights, buttons.
What is this? (red arrow)

has anyone placed this over gingerblur v2.5 yet?

Actually, you should read carefully before responding to my post. I am looking for a Circular Battery Icon replacement, not a widget. I wouldn't post a silly question if I was looking for just a widget. Either way, I found what I'm looking for. No need to post. Thanks.

Man I would love to take advantage of this theme for my atrix but i can't get past the battery icon in the notification bar.

Many thanks for this! I've actually been using orange and purple to theme minimalistic text and other widgets, so this matches well.

I claim no credit for this mod or the additions to it other than what I have changed visually. I did this for the love of blue and due to not having time to get my blue theme done.

Use at your own risk! I claim no responsibility for any damage to your phone, marraige, pets and\or your mental state!
I have added a choco cookie font to the package along with making the toggles high light in shades of blue. There are Carbon blue smilies added to the framework for texting and best of all, a Shiny Blue Version M, White numbers, Battery for the notification area!

I don't think that UOT works with ICS, but I could be wrong...?
Except for the lack of battery increments, I like the mod
Eric
UOT kitchen works for the battery mods on ICS and boot animations, but just them. I did use them for the batteries but UOT doesn't work with systemUI.apks from ICS, you have to manually do it and the first flash didn't display the batteries correctly with all 200+ icons but I know why now. I'm at school right now, will fix this this afternoon. Thanks for the feedback guys, it helps.

Updated the file in the OP, all percentages for the battery icons are now displayed correctly. Had a little brain fade last night I guess, easy fix and much better functionality now.
Here's the link for those already here:
Tazone-blue.zip updated
The OP is updated as well as stated earlier.
Enjoy!
The percentages in the updated version don't appear to match the system percentages, so maybe something went wrong with the fix? (screenshot 1)
Edit: in fact, the % on the new icon hasn't changed since I rebooted, while the system text % is decreasing at a normal rate...? (screenshot 2)
Edit2: what is the filename supposed to be for the updated version? The file at the link in the OP doesn't have a version number (v2 ?), so maybe it's still pointing to the old one?
Just flashed update. The battery percentage issue is still there

Hmm, working on mine bot that means nothing more than I got some files mixed up. I'll get on this in the morning, I still have a lab to finsh and studying for a test this week and finals next week.
My brain is a little fried right now I think it's and .xml issues as I've run into this before on certain frameworks and systemUI's but that was back in the Cognition and Perception days.
Any status on when you will push out the update to fix the battery percentages?

Working on it now, just got done with my digital comm test. My main issues is that I can't decompile the systemUI.apk on my computer, it errors out with the same error log as UOT kitchen when they try to decompile it. There are 2 .xmls that deal with how the battery is displayed but they are scrambled if you just try to extract them with 7zip, WinRAR, etc. Now that I have a little time I'll be pm ing some people to get some Q&A.
Temp work around
Ok guys and gals, this is a temporary work around for now. I removed the percentages from the icons that do display, you just need to enable battery percentages under the display menu in system settings. This is just temporary until I can get the .xmls edited.
It is a lot better functionaly though, heres's the file:

Thanks for this, it has made my home screen look 100x better. I just wish it would overlay the screen instead of sitting at the top ie so when I change screen I see the animation behind and I could dock widgets up to the top.
Just one thing I also noticed is that the background under the bar is quite a bit lighter then the rest so you can still see a bar it just looks like its got a torch on it.
any way you can make it work with Real Icon Theme v23 for UKB 1.3. I want the transpaency with his icons. I have installed his icons and then yours and yours takes control over the stausbar icons. If not i will live with it and thanks to you
does not work well with UKB with APM. When holding power buttonit will soft reboot (go to HTC screen then droid eye then back to phone screen) so unless you do not use the APM then it works great on UKB
