Hi guys.
I made a Timescape pack for ICS roms.
It contains all social apps from xperia s.
I tried it following roms, my bootloader is locked and I'm not sure for unlocked bootloders. Please try it and give me feedback.
It works on:
- Xperia Ice Cream Pureness rom
- Arconium ICS 4.0 rom
- ICS Stock rom
It doesn't work on:
- AOSP/AOKP/CM based roms
Known Bugs:
-.431 stock timescape widget don't show contact names
Installation
YOU WILL NEED TO BE ROOTED!
1. Copy update zip to SD card.
2. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery.
3. Flash zip package.
4. Reboot.
*Before do this, make a back-up !!

Tested on KA21 ROM, ArcKnight 3.3, unlocked bootloader.
Good job, OP. Maybe if you can port this app properly, FB notification in Aeon's lockscreen will work (again, maybe. Noob here hehe)

** There are certain changes in the steps please read carefully **
Thanks to datagubben and fatimarvin_15 (its a mixture of both their steps to get it this way and my created zip file)
All steps to have xperia Arc S Widget and Xperia S Working Equalizer, Clearbass, Surround, FBmusiclikes, edit option (SemcMetadataCleanup.apk) & background color change while music 3d scrolling.. Fully tested and working on my Xperia Arc S LT18i
You need a rooted Arc/ Arc S with 2.3.4 Gingerbread and CWM-recovery.
(a) Download this pack : http://www.4shared.com/zip/KZ2Bi5k9/Another_Way.html
(b) Extract it all and transfer the files to the SD-card .
(c) Start by installing only the following like a regular app : SemcMusic.apk and Soundenhancement.apk (overwrite any present). don't open player after this just do the next step ..
(d) Now you need to swith off and turn on your phone into CWM-recovery mode ..
(e) Flash this via CWM from the SD-card : Soundfx_Xperia_S.zip (contains SoundEnhancement Equalizer to work )
(f) Then flash "lib.zip" (this enables more button in equalizer)
press power off from cwm
(g) Turn on your phone and go in cwm mode again and flash "permission framework.zip"
(h) reboot your phone, remove/move n backup2sd any previous fbmusic like from system, reboot and install new fb music like to sd(for unlock bootloaders wheather they have relocked it later) . Else who have not unlocked bootloader atall, just replace it with new one in file to sys/app with rw-r-r permissions. if this doesn't works just do it as told for the unlock bootloader arc s phones ..
Then just go in settings and recheck facebook integration and fbmusic like will work!!
(i) Then Do it normally for SemcMetadataCleanup.apk install to sd or try it to sys/app with rw-r-r permissions (i cannot confirm its fully functional as i had unlocked bootloader so "download from network" feature doesn't works, but it does work like you can edit album art and add album art pic from gallery and edit song details)

If you see the music widget being blank, just remove it from screen and re add to screen it should definately work ... with the crystal colour changing according to theme the small flames
So there you have it! Xperia Arc S widget and Xperia S player on lt18i xperia arc s ( cannot confirm for arc as i dont have it )

Well guys its only for gingerbread 2.3.4 | .62 as mentioned, mayb for .42 aswell (but i installed it after updating and installing to .62 gingerbread)
i flashed stock .42 via flash tools n rooted it then updated to .62 via wifi and installed cwm and then continued with the main steps on the first post
i didn't like ics so i never tried it there, i believe this method won't work on ics and it would require more modifications ...
and yes so its working on official .62 update as i installed it via wifi the update that we get if we are on .42 first

i believe but not sure that for ics you just need to normally install the xperia s music player and sound enhacement to sd ....
you may get the music player ofcourse running and the xperia s equalizer with better sound quality for earphones.. but u may have to sacrifice the clear bass, surround sound thing and not to install those zip files using cwm .... i am not sure still u can see if it works and if u have no problem that if it doesnt works and u re-flash ur phone again ...
upto you or mayb i'll try to figure out for ics when i get an updated ics better than gingerbread .62

still it is functional.. just the download from network doesn't works and ofcourse it won't work as i have unlocked bootloader, so don't know if its fully functional or not for those who havn't unlocked their bootloader... But as mentioned above it does work like you can edit song details and add album art pic from gallery .. it will bring that album art to that song!
Else you can use media go pc software and use download album info from there
Mainly its all though about enjoying better sound with xperia s music player n its all features, along with the default nice arc s music widget..

Sure i have heard ics for xperia s would be starting from 1st june .... So once it comes then ill surely put my efforts to get it working wid all its features on our xperia arc s/arc aswell

Well - basically this Stock Sony 4.1.B.0.587 ROM posted by Knight47 (so it already contains ROOT and Busybox) with some modifications I did for my own usage.
I like Sony style so I'm trying to keep rom closest to pure Sony - but with most recent apps released across all Sony phones.
I'm sharing this modified rom only because someone may like it, but I'M NOT PLANNING TO SUPPORT IT.
This is my personal mix I spent some time to. There might be update later, but I cannot promise.
Shortlist of changes:
Removed Sony bloatware
Removed most Google and Sony apps which can be downloaded from Market
added new Xperia GX launcher by Pandemic (thanks) - so SMOOTH (original thread)
added Sony Walkman player from Xperia GX
updated a lot (see detailed changelog if you are interested) of apps from Xperia GX including Conversations / Email / Walkman music player / widgets etc.
added some tweaks to build.prop

So if that one is able to be flashed over locked bootloader - this one can be too

This is based on Stock ROM - no system / framework modifications. But I'm using now Power Toggles from Market (you can see it on my screenshot).
Tiny app - not so powerful like quick settings panel - but doing same job. Check it out

Honestly I noticed this small bug today as well.
Had no time to take debug. But I noticed it happen only sometimes and app is uninstalled properly anyway.
But I'll try to fix it later.

Unfortunately I cannot give you perfect numbers now as already installed apps from Market. I think it was about 180Mb free RAM and around 300Mb space - but I'm really not sure about it.
Removing bloatware saved some space, but apps from Xperia GX are bigger than originals on Ray.

I too had this problem. Go to Applications, open Contacts and clear the data cache. That might fix it.
I usually have this problem with custom ICS roms, I think it is caused by some language issues. It was not a permanent solution for the others but now it seems to be OK.
unlocked or for locked bootloader?

I found a small problem,
When I flash darktermor script,my phone is stocks on black screen after sony logo.
and I have to reboot manually for several times to see the rom
any way rom looks greate and performance is awsome.booting time is very short now.

After an hour ussage.
I got 1 reboot, by using browser. After that got FC in Xperia keyboard, google talk, browser.... Didnt get the vertical keyboard to appear, and physical didnt worked
I tried a re install, and now testing again.

You dont have to Flash scripts the Rom is fast enough,i will remove it,there are already scripts in the rom

Hi khemara,
test it all afternoon and couldnt solve the problema with the keyboard.
when i try to use it, the screen never appear, and the physical one lets me put one letter and then doesnt work... after 20 - 30 seconds got a FC in the application that tried to use.

Its possible,I tried to change the bat. Icon but it doesnt work,you can change it with romtoolbox that should work,about the call screen:I will add a new one without corners in version 2

Instructions for installment:
This ROM works best coming from another jb ROM
No clue why
Do the full wipe
Factory reset/ data
cache
dalvik
After downloading the ROM reboot to recovery select ROM install
Give it about 5 minutes to load the ROM (its not a bootloop it just takes a while to load)
After boot try to debloat as much as possible to install gapps make sure you have extra mini set of them

It did kind of, touch screen is unresponsive so it's going to sit in rice for a while longer see if it helps

Hey guys, i've just found something interesting in Xperia T forums, and I want to share with you: with this mod, you can use multiple small apps in the same time.
Requirements:
ICS based rom (tested on 587 fw)
Latest Xperia Z small apps port by Pranav Pandey
Instructions: flash the zip from the attachment and wipe dalvik cache.

LOL, and why didn't you tried it? The only thing that could've happend was that small apps would've been stopped working
