Is there any way to remap the the menu or back button to bring up the multi-tasking menu through long press?

Check out my other post. I use this app and it works well

Is it possible to have onscreen buttons on the SGS3? Or at least remap the menu button with the recent apps button? Coming from the One X, I miss it :-\

thanks for the suggestion but it doesn't seem to have the app switcher that i wanted... i want the same thing as the one that shows up when you long press the home button.. i just want it to show up when you long press the menu... instead of the search function, i want the app switcher...

Change menu button long press app

Hello, I wanted to know is there a way to change which app launches when you long press the menu button? Currently it's Google search.
I'm on a rooted Xperia S, if that matters.
Thanks in advance!

You can do it by using some launchers like holo launcher.
In holo launcher settings you can select which action you would you like to perform when pressing menu button for a long time...
Press Thanks; if I helped You.

I'm using apex, sadly it doesn't support the menu button but I found an option to use gestures for that, thank you.

(Q) Long press menu mod?

Is there a mod that can open an app when the menu button is held down? I know some launchers use this but I want to be able to use it everywhere, not just in the launcher. Thanks!

I'm not sure about the menu button but I think there's something called home2home or something that let's you change what holding the home key does. I'm not sure though so I could be wrong

I found the solution! Pull down the status bar. Long press the setting button on the upper right. Choose extended settings, swipe over to miscellaneous tab. Scroll down & select Long Press Buttons tab. Choose "Volume Keys Media Control" select WAKE UP. Problem solved!!!!
