This is your official brick warning.

Voodoo gs3 sim unlock in play store.
Read description first to see if your model is covered.

thanks it did not
Just root, and then edit your nv_data.bin . Flip the relevant bit from 1 to 0, and voila unlocked. This should work on any GSIII variant.

Yeah! That's right! Supercurio left North American SGS3 support out of his app because he just doesn't like THAT variant!

I just bought a galaxy s3 and realised the code is i9300t. Is it compatible with Roms for the regular international i9300 version. The phone seems to be from Vodafone Australia.

did you use the SEARCH function? It was already answered x-times.
yes you can use I9300 roms on I9300T, only the frequency band for T models is different as they are optimized for 850MHz, but even there you can use also 9300 modems. Just make sure you got the international model etc. and flash the correct rom in that sense, otherwise no difference between T and non-T
Thanks. I actually did use the search feature but didn't find any responses.

There probably is some roms for it just search for your device and go into android development
Install GooManager app from Playstore. This app will automatically identify ROMs which are suitable for your device.
Ok I well do that thanks

Hey,
I'm currently working on one... A family member also has an Ace II X. When I'm done I'll link to it. Should be within the week. It'll be called RoyceDroid, just like my username. Removing G+, Flipboard, ChatON; I consider them 'bloatware'. Adding removable apps. More to come in release notes.
On my kindle fire I put cyanegeon mod on it and flashed a zip to make it think it was a Galaxy Nexus. Can I do the same with my Samsung phone, but make it think its an S3?

Im pretty sure this can be done by editing the Build.prop.
in build prop there is a line for device number ( like mine is GT-S5670)
just replace it by s3 code in your build prop and check

how can you make the phone think as another phone ?
or see itself as another phone ?

Yeah.
To get Google wallet on Galaxy S3 to work you have to make it think its a Galaxy Nexus... Editing the build.prop does just that and Google wallet works like it should

Is there any site that shows what is the latest official rom that i9100 can get?
I mean what was the latest rom that samsung pushed to its i9100 devices?
I am not talking about custom roms.
Thanks!

samobile gives you rom files... but it doesnt say its the latest.
So if I search in samobile for i9100 I get the highest which is 4.1.2 - Is this is highest android version for i9100?
And I did search in Google before posting this thread.
Thanks
Just look for the highest number (4.1.2) and that'll be the newest....
There is debate as to whether the S2 will receive 4.2.2 at all, and I'd eat my old galaxy W if the S2 got 4.3 or 5.0......

Lol....I really don't think that there's any danger that I'll *have* to.
Samsung has updated the S2 more times than any other phone, and now it's 2 generations out of date (see S3 and S4).......
As good as this phone is, Samsung wants us all to buy something newer.....to spend more money with them. The S2 isn't even available in most of the network carriers stores here in the UK anymore.....
No new S2s = no more support/updates
