Hi,
I'm thinking about to come back to an AOSP ROM but I need SmartStay features...can the new app ISeeYou be a good replacement on AOSP ROM? Anyone is using it (PRO version) on aosp? thanks
I know this might sound stupid but have you thought about just creating a widget to lock screen on instead, seems a much better use of battery resources imho, but then I have a real thing about all of Samsungs novelty apps,, so I am biased! Who can watch a video and do other things at the same time?! But hey, that's just me!

No no, I agree with you for the video features but during work it's very usefull for me to use smartstay features...Otherwise, I never thought about this solution, I'm thinking about of setting screen timeout on 5m and even creating a widget to lock screen, is it your way?

Yeah, I just use widgetsoid from the market, what it does is lock screen up to the max timeout, 1hr? So even if you forget to turn off I think it will turn off after 1 hour, and it works even in the dark, .......Samsung

also with widgetsoid I'm pretty sure you can create widget to toggle screen timeout to any of the system presets, even better....why didn't I think of that?! Silly me...doh!

I just installed this on my S3 running CM 10.
It does not work at all. It actually makes it so the screen never turns off.
I'm also using Widget Locker which also has a screen timeout function, and I've tried it with that disabled and enabled.
For reading long articles and playing WordsWith Friends, I would love to gain this feature back.
Any help or tips would be preferred.

I found this app in the Samsung GS2 forum.
From what I understand this app is also available through the android market. I am not taking credit in anyway for the development of this app just liked it and decided to post it here for us too use.

Thanks for sharing, this is great. But one gripe, it puts an icon in the notification bar and of you drop it down and select it, it takes you to the setting so anyone can change the settings.

Thank you, that works! Also in the setting you can check off the app also so if you try opening the app itself, it is also protected..I should have thought of that lol.

It works its just that my brother and mom can get in with no problem. Haha I'll test it out on some friends to see if its worth keeping.
thanks alot cool app works great on my 3vo
I have tried it with a few friends it kept them out. Not saying its perfect but you can also try raising the security level to high. Just makes sure you take a variety of test pics in different lighting for the best results

I found a flaw though. On sense 3.0 if the application you have locked is on your lock screen, it somehow opens the app anyways, therefore this app is useless.

Are you sure the app was running? I just tried my lockscreen and it locked it for me. Make sure you have the notification on and that the icon is in your notification bar, so can make sure the app is running. Something else you can try, there is a setting that allows you change whether or not you have to constantly unlock it or unlock one app and it stays unlocked

Can this be used as a lock screen? Is there a setting I may have missed?

you can turn the setting off where it stops prompting to Face Rec every time you turn off the screen and open the app.
I cant wait for it to be used in conjunction with the lockscreen/unlocking the phone...
It makes me feel like im somebody off of mission impossible or something...

I figured out a workaround...
Install "Agile Lock" (free on Market, and a Sense 3.0 lockscreen that's meant for AOSP ROMS normally) https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nanoha.SenseScreen
and set the app to activate when used...
Profit.

I set this to lock golauncher, which works well as phone wont launch after unlocking it until face verified. UNLESS, you slide an app to the lockring, then it bypasses it and I think crashes visidon, becuse i then have to open the app and back out to make it work again. Would be a sweet app if this was fixed.

Hm, I like TW4 itself.
But this lockscreen is just epic and I'd really like to have this O.O
Why is this in development? It should be in General/Questions.
Also like TekJoe already mentioned, get WidgetLocker from the market and install any of the thousand themes available for it. Also I believe the sense lockscreen comes preloaded with the app.
Sorry, did not know where to put it.
Is there the original lockscreen of the Sensation included?
But actually i don't want to buy anything...

Put this topic wherever you want to, but i used the search function in the S2 forum and there was no specific thread with this name, so i created this.
Agile Lock is nice. But it's not possible to use settings without buying it and it's kinda laggy...

A little laggy, but you can download some Apps to gain 300 points and get the full version free.
Don't download the app that gives you 100 points, it's infected.

Could you tell me which apps you downloaded?
I did not dare to download any app cause there was everything on japanese or chinese or whatever.
And you downloaded these apps and deinstalled it after that?
Edit:
Ok, i did it
Now it works fine! Still a bit laggy, of course, but i hope it gets better with few updates!
Thanks for Agile Lock!
But the music control is a bit stupid, i can't select where to show it on the lockscreen, right?
Always on bottom left corner... That sucks a bit...

Not possible currently. Miui has a lockscreen close to sense 3.0 but its not animated and feels blah compared to the real thing.
Hello!
Very first post in this board...
There's similar threads under different phones but nothing I can find under the mopho forum, if there is please redirect me!
so here it goes: is there any way to decrease the brightness of the screen beyond moving the slider in the settings down to 0?
Thanks!
There's a free app in market called screen filter made by haxor. Try it!
There is also that power widget that allows you to set it to auto, lower and higher. Not sure if that is low enough though.

I think all this app does is "grey out" your screen. I'm pretty sure that the backlight stays at whatever setting it was at before starting the filter. You may get a bit of savings by disabling the soft key backlight, if you have them.
Not trying to be a smarta$$, but I do love this app.

App does the trick ... except it adds another icon to the display at the top. Isn't there a file that can be edited in the system to reduce the minimum brightness level?
Nice app called Display Brightness. Posting this so people will stop starting threads asking how they can do this on ICS. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.DisplayBrightness&hl=en

If you actually take the time to configure it the app is very nice. For example, set location to top, make bar wide, make fully transparent...and it operates very much like the stock with more features.

I want to put an AOKP rom on my phone but there are a few little things I like about the stock Samsung Android apps. For one I like the smart alarms on the Samsung clock app but I've got that covered. I also like the video app that gives you a button to rotate the screen even if you have auto rotate off which I usually do. Is there an app that anyone knows of on the marketplace that can do this like stock?
