I've been having some issues related to the camera, sometimes when i try to use it says "Unable to connect to camera" in the cm7 based roms and in nottachatrix it just Force closes.
Is there any way to correct this, i thought that reverting to nottachtrix would save the problem, but it didn't.
I have a Star x15i which camera app wont work even i try to clear data and restore factory setting.
Message appear on screen when trying to use camera app "processcom.mediatek.camera" unable to start.
I already try to root and use other rom on my device but still unable to use camera app.
Please help.
hey guys , my xperia z2 is on existenz 2.0 rom and camera launches and takes pictures but when taking a video it says "unknown error occurred" and also in playing videos in video application (the main system app for playing videos) there is sound but this message "unknown error" stays on screen while screen is black and there is sound .. is it my phone or the rom ? how can i fix this can some one help me ?
try flash stock rom, if that error still exist maybe the problem on your phone.
for a XZ3 I tried to compress the screen and the case between my fingers and it recliped the cam-cable inside...

I recently installed Pixel 3 Camera on my Poco F1. Its working great.
However, whenever I try to launch from the lock screen (like swipe to top from right/double tap power key), it gives me this error.
Is there a fix this? I have given all permissions etc but still getting this error
"Camera error
To function properly, Camera needs your permission. Unlock your device and go to Setting to allow permission for Camera"
I'm getting the same error, from what I understand it's specific to the GCam version

I get the same error. I did check permissios, with no luck.
Still a persistent problem. I've looked around and anyone using Gcam trying to access via double tapping power (while locked) or trying the lockscreen shortcut are all getting the permission denied error. Many have suggested disabling stock camera, but the camera that comes with my current custom rom, Havoc OS, can't be disabled. If we could only toggle a permission. Unfortunately it seems like the system has hidden it or refused actress to that certain lockscreen toggle because it's a third-party app (downloaded through the modded apk).
Seriously hope there's a workaround in future. Commenting here for any updates either way.
I had this fixed but recently started having this ever again after downloading a new version. But I'm going to try it's just installing the camera version that I want directly into the ROM by default and formatting the phone. That's what I did last time and it worked
The custom rom is anicp I have tried many other custom roms still the same.this is not the only one snap keeps crashing When clicking on settings can't record videos says media server died ps snap works when I change the date and time.pls help me
